Use a long drill, a machine vise and a pillar bore at first. If you want a through tang use a hand drill if the pillar bore can't bore through. You can hand drill, but it is difficult to get the tang hole lined up. He just skipped this part. :D
My guess? He heated a tang-sized metal object in the fire which appears, and burnt a suitable channel through the handle using that heated object. If the camera became focused centrally on the intense light of the fire's white hot center, its auto-compensating features probably turned everything else in ambient light to blackness. He probably never reviewed the clip (having lived it) before posting.
Disappointed. You didn't show how you made the hole in the handle for the tang, nor how attached the brass piece at the end of the handle. Shaping the handle while having a large chunk of brass on either end is a good way to destroy the blade on whatever blade you are using. Nice end result but how you got there!
I was amazed - AMAZED! - that the wood came with a channel for the tang. I've never seen that happen, at least not for me.
Very nice! How did you drill the hole for the tang? That's what I came here to see as I have most problems with that step myself

Excellent job and interesting thanks for sharing my friend.
What kind of wood?
Nice work!
Very nice. Don't be shy and infuse some of yourself into your work onto the clip, my man 💪.
very nice, well done mate

Complimenti, ma come hai fatto a fare entrare la lama nel manico? Bel video!
Отличная РУЧНАЯ работа
Which mora blank was that?
Looks like a No. 3 to me, I have one myself that I put a handle on, awesome blade.
I think i like it in its rough state best.
How come he never showed how he put the tang in.
How do you make the hole for the but of the knife? Well, there has to be a channel that explains that.
I like it.
For anyone watching this, NEVER try to lever metal with a small file, they are brittle !!
