Perhaps you should practice patience and allow the queen to judge my tardiness.” “The only judgment I will pass is on whether we need these recruits you, and only you, have pushed to enlist.” “Your Majesty, we all know the Empire is desperate. The circumstances surrounding the Spire of Brightwood are clearly a faux panic. They are experimenting with dark magic aimed at reclaiming territory that is rightfully Angari.” “Be careful using words like ‘we’ Etaredo. If this were true, Emperor Salacastor himself would not have sent for our rangers to aid them. The Emperor sent the entire Third Hand to investigate Brightwood. They believe this maybe our doing just as we suspect them. You forget that some of us have lived long enough to have fought alongside imperial guards and Throne Watchers. Do not jump to hallucinic conclusions without substance.” “Adaron, your defense is noble. You may be seated. We will leave the events of Brightwood to be discussed once we hear from the North Guard. This is not why I have called this council. I am concerned with the Light of Ruan. If our beloved stone is to meet the same fate of the one in Brightwood then our home would be… would be…” “Your Majesty, before you let fear guide word or action. We have no reason to think this is random. My research has shown that the power emanating from any Everstone is one directional. It radiates outward at a constant. There is no reason to think this could happen at random.” “You spend your days staring at that rock and calling it research. What reason do we have not to believe your brain has been rotted by it, Havik.” “I will not stand for your constant disregard of other’s expertise, Etaredo. It is bold of someone accused of ancient blood rituals to be brash. As far as I am concerned your position on this council exists only because Her Majesty has a soft spot for illegitimate siblings.” “Adaron! … I can speak for myself. Havik. Etaredo. You may return to your posts. Adaron. Ahmeal. Please remain.” “As your Majesty wishes.” … “Adaron. I know you have your suspicions of my half brother. We all do, but we must keep his guard down. Ahmeal. You have been silent. Please say something.” “The Pack is with you My Queen. I have news from Eastwash I did not wish Etaredo to hear. A band of travelers has been working diligently with both General Morrith and Ranger Yennith. They carry the official report from the Spire of Brightwood which should grant them access through the gates. They are the proof that the Empire is true to their word. This is a mutual effort. We may also be able to use this group of warriors. Etaredo does not know them. He may grant them access to the grove and attempt to recruit them. They may be able to bring the evidence we need to publicly convict your brother.” “And why should we trust a band of fighters from Brightwood? That province is full of drunken sailors, a self proclaimed Baron and a wizard that was banished from the capital.” “Oddly, the group seems to carry all allegiances and thus none. There is a Paladin of Yorgras, a young wizard studying under Maxinety, a Warden of Zaphyir, and… uh…” “Yes? Is there another?” “A young Ranger who was revoked of her Angari title. Elevak. Your daughter, Adaron.”
This is the first time I take the time to read the lore. So obviously I didn't understand half of it, but boy is it great ! Is there a way to get a compilation of all the lore crums ?
Also, a big part of the charm of the first region is, in my opinion, all the little rocks and herbs and weeds and such. And you have started to use back weeds a lot more recently. 'Really happy to see them back after all the sand and snow. But I feel like the little rocks have been a tiny little bit underused since the desert region, at this point, the colorful rocks have been wonderfully placed. But the little grey rocks that could give contrast to a strip of road or anything, have almost not been used at all
I also have a suggestion for the sandworms area or elswhere. I see you use almost only big area of monsters. You could try to make really really thing strips of area, or little dots, to have the effect of a large area with less than minimal monster density. Actually I would looooove to see tones of scatered very very little fighting area, maybe for higher players to fight 3 or 4 higher level monsters in a corner, or a very small dots than could spawn just one or two spider almost on the road. Or maybe just one skeleton in the back of a respawning point
Hi, first I would like to say how awesome your playstyle is. I'm just in love with all the attention to details and quest building etc. But I share your frustration with the leveling situation and I have a theory. The movement speed, even at 7, is not insanely fast, and the duration of fights (for the ai player) is a bit long. That means that to do a fighting quest like you have set up, they have to walk a long distance to the quest giver, then to the monster area, and then they have to sometimes kill up to 10 monsters ! You (Irl player) would take a really long time to actually kill 10 anything. But then, if the ai player dies, he has to respawn, then walk again to the area, and maybe die again. So, a quest line with two fighting job of over 4 monsters become almost impossible to finish for the ai. The quest that are completed that we see in the stats are probably just the easiest one that don't give much xp. I think honestly that a "kill 2spiders for me" at the start is really not too little. and that killing 1 or 2, maybe 3 wolves max would be appropriate for moon haven. Plus, it's really better gameplay for the player. Nobody wants to have to kill 40 things to finish a minor quest. Maybe killing 6 should be the ""killing of the swarm of kobolts" or something.
you would get much much much more quest completion without breaking the game or the story line in any way really. I think it just allows the player that don't want to grind, to actually not have to grind for hours anyway for small quest
and, am I the only one that think the bandits have a disproportionate sized head ? I mean the paladin has a biiig one, but the bandits, they can't even hide in the forest with head that size
Also, I'm really scared about the level 1-20 situation in the capital city. I fear this will make the region impossible to balance. Any quest, monster, really anything is either absurdly too strong for the early player or completly boring for the higher ones.
100% impossible right now. That's why I'm not prioritizing it in the slightest. There needs to be a way to assign quest levels directly to certain quests before it's viable.
You know what could be sick? You playing as a level 1 going through all the cities. Don't need to make the quests, but act like yo'ure doing. Like, an user from your MMORPG.

i just got an idea. instead of returning to the traitor guy to kill the chief, the double agent should lead to a dungeon raid on the traitors' headquarter edit:i just finished the video and clearly he already has this idea

Yeah, you’re back! I’m one of your longtime viewers. I’m so excited that shatter stone is back❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please add some new enemies!
No more wolves at least make a new variant!
Return of the king!
Woahhhhhhh more lore! I love the new info about everstones and magic in this world. Great video Kyle
Well thank you good sir!
Just want to say again I love your playstyle. I've big sick the past weeks and you have entertained me all the way.
Happy to help the mending. Get well!
Perfect timing! I was just watching your vids to see if I want to buy this game.
It's insane how easy it became to add all the vegetation in a natural and good looking way
Right!? Has sped up the process a ton
This video was definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to see this full series
I love how on the map you see the tree size slowing increase
Amazing!
How the hell does this only have 23 likes and and 82 people have watched it. This channel is underrated.
What matters are the all-stars like you who watch and enjoy.
helloo thank you for the great vid to end the day
Those rocks rock!
See, Granticus gets it! Why don't you, person reading this comment?

Yes, it's almost like they are regionally applied.
I like the strategy where you have low barrier to start playing and pay along the way.
Not sure how the AI will respond but should be interesting regardless!
It's a good day when Kyle posts
Indeed

After seeing the two metaphorical wolf-rock, I see each small rock as a wolf that passed away, as if everytime a wolf dies, he becomes a rock
Poetic 😭
I SWEAR to god someone needs to make a book of loooooore. I'd buy it.
Everything is compiled in folders. Maybe someday I can make something more from it.
Another W video! thanks!!
No, thank you!
Dinnertime with Shatter Stone - perfect!
A brilliant pairing
Love what you’re doing man. When are you going to flesh out some dungeons? So much to do❤
Hopefully again soon as the foundation of this region is done. The goal will be for each region to probably have about 2 dungeons
