Hi Alex. This question is not related to this subject but wondered if you would advise if when using chalk paint to finish a carving you seal it first or dilute the paint. Do you use one or more coats and is there any special brand of chalk paint you favour? Thanks very much for any comments.
Master: The Maine piece has a very strong layer cake look FROM the side. Are you planning a way to carry the eye across both layers? I'm probably thinking way too far ahead. Maybe all of us in the school could take a trip to England and see in person that which we are attempting. Along with you of course. Great video and explanations.
Your gouge sounds very sharp and clean

Great question. I use shellac primer before chalk paint. As far as brand. All of them approximately the same. I do 2 coats of chalk paint.
We can find this carving table somewhere for sale and what make is ? It is a great piece, I love it, love to have one!
Lee Valley sells it.

This piece is not done yet. It will blend much better when it will be done.
Thought so. Anxiously await
Thanks for everything.
If we have a project that has warped, is it salvageable?
I like you but I don't like it that you follow your comments while your on.
I don’t really understand what you mean
