    Seems a good compromise at the price. Not ultralight in the absolute sense, but you won't find all these features on a lighter pack costing three or four times more.

    Bought this backpack for me and my wife. I already have the Gossamer Gear Kumo, but since that pack is comfy at around 9 kg and my multi-day gear including food and camera gear weighs a little more than that, I was looking for something with a little more support.
    The MT 900 UL seems to hit all the right spots for me. Supposedly comfy at around 12kg load, it's got a trampoline back and SPACIOUS side pockets.
    It's not too heavy either. I'd compare it to the Osprey Exos.
    Looking forward to trying it out properly this year.

      Agree with you on the points that it is still able to carry enough gear while being lightweight. It is not ultralight but at the same time solid enough. So it seems to be the golden mean in this category. Also we like that it's comfortable. Hope you enjoy using it and share your experience with it after😊

      @@defencee Yup! I enjoyed it too. Packed it with ca 12 kg of weight and it was fairly comfortable. Very spacious. I especially enjoyed the front access and the large side pockets, they ended up being very handy.

      @@michal-smr yes, looks amazing, this front access i love it, but yesterday i've read all reviews in official site . There was a lot of problems with frame , which touch low back and made noise. I really want buy this backpack, but can't be so risky, cause in my country decathlon was closed, and i will get backpack from international delivery through broker, and i can't make a mistake and return if will have same problems with backpack. I'll think about it, but for now i'm more inclined to buy REI Flash 55. Amazing backpack, but without useful front access like Forclaz... SO idk)))

    • @michal-smr
      @michal-smr Месяц назад

      @@defencee If it's such a risk for you and you're unsure, go with the REI Flash 55. The front-access is not a dealbreaker. I've never had lower back issues with the frame and it didn't make any noises. But better safe than sorry in your situation, I'd say. I've got two decathlon stores in a 2-hours drive radius, so my situation is different. There's no REI in Europe, for example, even though I like many of their products :D

    If I remove the top lid the measure of the frame allows me to bring it as a carry on luggage up to 55 cm? Tnx

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  6 месяцев назад +1

      We think it can a bit too tight for a carry on luggage, it's better to see it in person to make sure it fits. As the normal size of the pack is 65cm long but the back adjustment can be made as short as 45cm(it doesn't apply to the rigid frame)

    Do you think the womans version is still suitable for guys? I prefer the tje colour and less space. If ypu could show the differences that would be amazing.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  3 месяца назад

      That's hard to say, as you ideally need to try it on in the store to see if it fits, it depends on your height a lot. Overall there is a reason why they make it men and women fit, it proved to be more comfortable if you follow it in our experience. Dima carried a women's fit pack for some time at first as we weren't aware that such thing existed as different gender's fit but it actually made a huge difference in the end. Hope it helps.

      Hi from Paris. I'm just out of Decathlon store to compare both backpacks.
      They both have the same overall height, the adjustable shoulder straps height range is the same Men or Women: 39-51cm.
      The only difference lies in the chest strap whose design is adapted to female anatomy in the Women (grey/orange) pack.

    Strange design. They wanted to collect the best from other backpacks and add some of their own innovative ideas. Overcomplicated side pockets. I understand that the idea is to be adapted to carry larger items, but why? What is disappointing is the lack of compression straps under the side pockets. Sometimes it is useful to reduce the volume of the pit. They could have made the upper straps out of thin tape. A few grams and you have a better grip on the object and the tape itself. Personally, I also don't like the additional 10L which make this backpack less comfortable to use. They could have added an extra top flap to this one as suggested by other designs. The price seems ok, but it's not as good as you start looking for on the Internet. Because you add 40 pounds and you get Osprey exos or Gregory Focal. Now on trekkinn the exos (2024 pocket version) and focal are £158. But I do not recommend trekkinn, some buyers have problems with delivery. The few left on Amazon: Osprey 38L - 134 pounds / 48L 161 pounds. Gregory 126 pounds not described size probably 38L

      We agree that they could tweak some of the features but overall we are pretty happy about this backpack. It is definetely much superior to many of their other ones. Thanks for mentioning other models and brands, we are yet to test some Osprey backpack, heard many good reviews about them. So would be nice to get a hold of it and see it for ourselves.

      @@WalkingNatureWorldThe most important thing is that you are satisfied. I recommend buying Osprey or Gregory. Great companies, you will not be disappointed. I know you are Decathlon fans, but they don't convince me. Their products are good but there is always something missing in the design. For example, their mt900 tent. Among other things, your video convinced me to buy it. Am I satisfied? Yes. Did I know what I was buying? Yes. Does it have design flaws? Yes. Floor thickness and footprint are mandatory. But they managed to stay under 2kg. Apart from the fact that I bought it used almost for free. Is it worth the price? I'm not sure. You test a lot of tents, so you have a comparison. We'll take the MSR Elixir 2. Yes, a different weight class, but let's say it's actually a tent for two and two people can carry it. On ebay Msr costs 259 pounds, on the German site it costs 236+ 12p&p. Whether it is worth paying extra for the premium class is something everyone has to answer for themselves. Decathlon is quite alright with cheaper alternatives, but their Mt900 line is overpriced. The mattress you tested is another example , r-value 1.4 for £85? It's nice that it's comfortable, but not at that price. I recommend the sportpursuit website. You have to register there using email, a strange practice. They can have really good prices. The best deal I made there was the purchase of a Big Agness rapid sl mattress (r.v- 4.8 500g) for less than £70. They often have a large selection of Osprey backpacks at good prices. A large selection of branded clothes if they fit you. They have Fjern products, that's their brand. They have an interesting tent, FJERN GOKOTTA 2p. Silicone coated, 1.5 kg 3000mn/6000mn, same size as your mrs elixir2. The price is very attractive for such specifications - £219. You might consider doing a review. The only one that exists on YT and it's not the best. People on reddit are interested in it. Maybe you could replace your MSR with a lighter one? You can always return the product

    it's NOT ultralight. it weighs 1.3 kg. Most real UL backpacks weigh half of it or even less. Check out Gossaer gear, Z-packs, palante, waymark, atom packs.....

    • @truepaulesko
      @truepaulesko 6 месяцев назад +7

      It's ultralight in decathlons lineup, is a very very good backpack with plenty of features at a minimum weight. And by the way, some of the backpacks you mention are helpless if you want to carry any heavy load for going several days in the wild they are no more than a bag with a couple of tiny straps. For a complete backpack with foams, structure and enough features you will be very hard pressed to find a sub 900 grams one. Samaya has one at 400 euros, this is not that far for a fraction of the price. What decathlon achieves with it's products is awesome imo.
