  • What a shame Patrick Lambie was forced to retire at the young age of 28. His continuous struggles with head injuries is testament to his toughness and his willingness to put his body on the line.
Patrick played 56 tests for the Boks after making his debut as a 20 year old in 2010. He soon became well known for his calmness under pressure, his play making ability and his decision making.
I believe he was a very underrated player and he will be fondly remembered for his fantastic contribution to Springbok and Sharks rugby.
Go well Pat, thanks for the memories...

Heartbreaking that his career came to such an early end. He was a special player and only would have gotten better if it wasn't for those injuries

Such a fantastic player so sad his career should be cut short in my mind he should still be the Nr.1 flyhalf in the Springboks had so much more to offer. Go well Pat Lambie thanks for the beautiful memories👍👍

I really miss this player, in his green and gold...even his black and whites. Would have loved if he had lifted the WC too.

A very special talent and think he was very much loved wherever he went.So genuinely nice and humble.
I think he often got too stuck in defensively, making two tackles in a row where team-mates were wanting.
Absolutely devastated to not see him for the boks and I must say I wouldn't mind if that arsehole stander got taken care of.

Lambie was a fantastic player - he could kick, pass, run, and tackle. A career cut short by injury.
