Err, as one of the people who was giving out the awards for the games on Saturday I'd just like to point out that Per Broden's fantastic 'Poltava' game won the other Best in Show award - but I wasn't surprised to see it ignored as it is 6mm - the game you named as Best in Show runner up was actually the runner up in the Historical game category if I'm not mistaken.
Whoops, our bad! We did list it correctly in our social media post of images and we will put the correct detail on the in-depth video we'll have up later on. Thanks for the correction!
@@iainfuller5083 Unfortunately, we just didn't have the time to cover absolutely everything in the show. We've got plenty of photos to show of the Poltava games and anything that was missed out of this video in the magazine itself! Keep an eye out for that!
@@WargamesIllustrated Really looking forward to see the Poltava game in the magazine. I was delighted to see a small scale game get an award for a change and all the happier it was ours. Thank you. Loved the video.
Some beautiful tables and setups, thanks for showing us around. I like the look of the minis in the display cabinet at 0:52 Are they ww2/VE day minis and who are they from?
It was a great show! The minis shown at 0:52 are from Bad Squiddo Games and the cabinet in it's entirety was more of an assortment of fantasy and historical. Find them at their website: badsquiddogames.com/
There will definitely be articles in the magazine coming up with lovely pictures to compliment! There will also be a lot of Salute videos coming up this week so stay tuned for that!
Salute is run entirely by club members from our club in London and it takes 2 days of very hard work all voluntarily taken on by us to put on apart from months of preparation. Also the cost of hiring the hall we use in the Excel for another day would be prohibitive. Another thing to remember is that we don't have to fly to other parts of the country in the UK so travel to and from shows on the same day is very possible if a little knackering.

@@WargamesIllustrated but why ignore the Poltava game out of interest?

@@WargamesIllustrated that’s great, thank you very much, I’ll check them out 👍🏻
Great video, are there going to be articles about different events like Salute? I always find out way to late about them

Nice overview. Looking forward to seeing the interviews.
My first “first” thumbs up 👍!!!
is salute only one day? that sucks. Most of our cons in the states are 3 days, some four!
