I love their sable blend brush. I only have the No.12 standard round but it is wonderful to paint with. All my other brushes are their Series 33 Kolinsky. The sable blend seems to have a characteristic I have not found in pure sable and that is its ability to form "edges". I don't know if this is just because it is quite a large brush or what, but it enables me to achieve a wide range of brush strokes with this one brush. I have a No. 8 sable mix from another brush maker that gives the same effect too but the Rosemary & Co is way better handling.

How do you like the series 33 kolinsky? I'm looking for a couple of sable brushes from either Jackson's or Rosemary. Can't find reviews on either.

They looked like they worked really well. I wish you would have shown the flat.
The series number and sizes would have been great too. Thanks for sharing.

They perform beautifully. Even now and I've had them for a good while. I had forgotten about the flat brush, my apologies. It makes lovely crisp edges. The round brushes are series 402. I believe I demo the size 8.

Glad you enjoyed it! I don't paint a lot of florals personally but I would say it really depends on how big you like to paint. If it were me, I would want a bigger brush. So I'd say at least a size 10 or 12.
