This is a peak "feels" moment. Not the reveal of Mia's spirit. Not the bleeding itself. The time Godot said the iconic phrase. "The only time a lawyer can cry is when its all over." The somber trial music coming in right at that moment is the perfect finale of a tense and grueling battle.
T&T's trial music is iconic to me. Most of the time, the trial music is simply background noise, a nice medley warming you up for the battle ahead. In T&T, it's a poignant cap on the end of an era.
I wholly agree. The opening-closing trial theme poignantly signified that it *was* the end. *That* was the moment that he could finally weep. It was so genius to me for the developers to have done that.
Seriously. This game was so fucking emotionally effective (and honestly, everything about T&T is so standout to me-- the blast from the past, getting to play as Mia, seeing college Phoenix, the way everything ties back together). It was such a gratifying and heartwrenching culmination of everything "we'd" gone through. I was reeling after ending this game, couldn't get enough of seeing people go through it for the first time or even just rewatching scenes like this or reminiscing on the game overall. Which, I clearly still do even to this day! It's that good...
who knew in a game where you would play the role of a defence attorney, you would make genuine friendships with the opposing prosecutors who go against you in every way to get every defendant declared guilty? seeing von Karma getting incarcerated while protecting edgeworth and bringing closure to his dad’s murder case was one thing, but godot being incarcerated for a murder after losing his lover and being poisoned by a sick bastard by the name of dahlia was another. he was just blinded by these events that he wanted to protect his lover’s sister while taking revenge on that bastard dahlia, with no intention on killing misty at all. even though edgeworth would return to his post to keep prosecuting defendants and work against us, and godot would never be seen again, its these moments which make this game so touching and emotional.
