*If you are stopped by a cop! Say this 1 thing, ONLY*
"Am I being detained? Am I free to go?"
Don't get out of your car! Do not submit to any tests or searches! Just show ID/reg and keep repeating, "Am I being detained? _Am I free to go_ " Cops are incentivized to get away with anything/everything they can, DON'T LET THEM! Not you, not today!
Even if you _have_ been drinking, play it cool, repeat the phrase, and don't submit to field tests. Eventually, they may try to detain you. They might bring you to the station and make you wait, but that's a _good thing_ bc it gives you time to get more sober. 3hrs later when they're testing you at the station, you're clean and they have to let you go.
But usually, if you're this kid's situation, cops are just being bullies & trying to trick you bc they think you don't know your rights!!
      KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
      AM I BEING DETAINED?
      AM I FREE TO GO?
If you're not being detained for a legal reason, they have to let you go.

Even if you're sober, there is a high chance you will mess up. When they make you do the line walk, the trick is to listen to every detail he is saying on how to walk the line. Most people think as long as they walk straight they will be fine, but in reality most people fail by not putting your heel right against your toe. Most people leave a inch or two gap between the feet and fail. The lawyer said to always decline the field tests, agree only to breathalyzer

I live in the same county. Cops out here don’t really like to follow the rules and I’ve been told by my friend that’s a cop that the older dudes on the force started quitting, as soon as they were required to wear a body cam, because “back in the old days, you could hit a guy a few times and send them on their way, instead of arresting them.” That’s verbatim what a lieutenant told him. They don’t want to be better, they just don’t want to be caught.

A cop will never admit when he is wrong

True but it’s very suspicious to not be turning your full beam off while approaching oncoming traffic… doesn’t give off clean and sober vibes lol

@@TheLittleShitsif you've ever worked an early or 3rd shift, you'd know literally 1/5 of all drivers will randomly forget their high beams on or just leave them on. Seriously doubt 1/5 of all drivers are all drunk or high at the same time all going the same route.

Really stupid comment. People accidentally leave their high beams on all the time. Or if one light is out they might leave them on. I’ve never even heard of someone being pulled over for this let alone arrested. Let’s not excuse Nazism because someone left their high beams on.

@little In the buffet the kid explains that one of his headlights is broken so he just uses his highs and didn't realize it was illegal to ride with them with oncoming traffic. Simple mistake a young driver can make.
