- Authorities say bodycam footage allegedly shows an officer holding onto a suspect's car as he flees a traffic stop on August 27. The Port St. Lucie Police Department said the suspect told the officer that he's "scared of cops, bro," before driving off when asked to step out of the car.

I will never understand how anyone thinks it's a good idea to run from the cops when they have your face, license plate number, physical description of your car and even your ID/driver's license info. I don’t watch CNN, and I don’t use TikTok. I just watch RUclips shorts and RUclips. But anyway, maybe there’s department policy against it, but they do it anyways. There are no actual laws that prevent cops from muting or stopping recording. There are thousands of cop body cam video showing cops muting and disabling their cameras prior to the call ending. By call ending I mean when the scene is cleared by PD and police units are returning to patrol. I completely disagree with what you said

Then when the supervisor shows up, you tell them "the officer is fishing, you haven't done anything illegal, you're not in possession of anything illegal, and you'd like to be on your way."
Then the supervisor will usually let you go... unless they're crooked too...which happens.

I new a guy like this. Grew up with the mom and grandma. Good family. Grandma passed and left the mom money. 5 years later mom passed. 22yo inherits the 80ish grand. Chose drugs over school. Bough a Maserati and and 2 years later in jail for felony drug charges. This is so sad. I truly believe these youths need a strong male role model. This video reminds me so much him.

You have your day in court for a reason. That’s when you fight; not during a traffic stop or while being questioned. Fighting cops essentially gives them the right hurt/kill you.
What makes you think he was going to let him go? Cops don't let people go cops arrest people that's their job

@Veedo okay? Whether he was let go or not, being arrested for something small like a gram of pot can be fought in court. Even 1 pound. If you comply you get far easier treatment than if you drive away with a cop hanging out of your car door.. Use your common sense.
We have to do away from weed smell probable cause... it's just a excuse for officers to violate rights ..
I don't smoke pot, but the cop , some of his relatives or friends just might smoke it.
Also plenty who 'make the laws' smoke it. There really IS a pharmaceutical cartel. The hypocrisy of busting some citizen for smoking
