- Here's my interpretation of Acheron's theme music from her trailer "Your Color"! I've taken quite a few liberties with this one, because frankly, this type of electronic music isn't exactly my forte and her theme initially didn't get me excited, until I noticed the traditional Japanese instruments and got this idea!
I'm sure many talented cover artists have done justice to this theme, and I hope you can find something enjoyable in my version. I've put a lot of effort into it!

Yeah, it was quite the task to try and blend many different elements together and make them sound cohesive. I hope I managed to maintain the essence of the original theme while also adding a touch of that Inazuman flair :D
I can really hear the Inazuma parts of this song. It's a really cool mash up! Also, those subtle vocals are very cool. 👍🎶
Thank you! Maybe it's because I grew up listening to a lot of Hip Hop music and I just love the DJ scratch effects and vocals, that's why I put them in :D
@@sumes That's awesome! My only critique for your song is a request for you to return that really awesome black hole sound effect that was present in the trailer. It was so impactful to the music and it feels like something is missing without it. I hope you don't mind the criticism.
@@normalpair do you mind pointing me towards where it is in Acheron's trailer? The thing with sound effects and electronic elements in music is that they're really hard to recreate unless you know the exact sample or you're able to shape your own sounds exactly how you want. Maybe once I get more in depth with synthesizers and improve, I'll be able to recreate those effects and make them as impactful! I appreciate the feedback, it's always welcome!
@@sumes The sound effect takes place in 2:09 - 2:19 of the trailer. Are you able to sample it? Do you agree that it adds to the song?
@@normalpair I see what you mean now, yeah it adds a lot of impact, I agree! Unfortunately, I don't sample from the original, I always recreate everything myself (unless it's a voiceline or singing), so unless I'm able to make or find a similar sound using my synths, I won't be able to add them into my cover ^^
The reason I went for the Inazuma version was partly due to not being able to accurately recreate the theme as I'm not really an expert with this type of genre. This also means, that I had to change up the arrangement and add / leave out certain elements, I hope you understand! :)
Beautiful music! I just shared it with a friend and we both agree that your usage of instruments and the delicately crafted beat drop (using arpeggios to add emphasis over crunchy sfx) was nice, keep on the good work :)

It's also cool that you noticed the arpeggios - I thought it would be a good idea to emphasize those and add some movement to the section, especially since I wasn't going to incorporate as many electronic elements and effects as in the original ^-^

Oh woah I keep forgetting that Acheron is HSR's Raiden! I love the parallel, it's genius! :OOO And from what I understand, she herself draws parallels with the other Honkai in the quest, so that makes even more parallels! xD I love the concept, and the realization is magnificent, congrats! ^^
But you've removed most of the electro part, I know that was the point, because I read the description, but I'd still have liked to see what you'd have done with it xDD But I'm not at all disappointed with this traditional version! On the contrary, I find it even superior! It's a good thing the bee also decided to release the theme, so I can have both versions, which is very cool :DDD
Thank you Luna! ❤️ Indeed, Mei seems to be a recurring character in all of Hoyo's games. However, I never got into HI3 much, so I might miss many of the connections and references when it comes to Acheron xD
As for her theme, as I mentioned, I didn't really find the original particularly exciting. And although I do enjoy exploring various genres and styles, I felt that attempting to faithfully recreate the theme would result in a vastly inferior version. Therefore I opted for a creative approach and the idea of an "Inazuma Version" was just perfect, given her parallels with Raiden :D

Aaah this is incredible, I really love your cover and with all the Inazuma/Japanese hints, it sounds really good! Your themes just keep getting better and more creative, keep up the all the amazing work! (You pump out covers really fast, I dont know much about how long music takes to produce, but remember to rest and make time for yourself too!!)
I love Inazuma and its music! It's a shame I only began uploading my music after Sumeru's release, or I would have had a lot more Japanese-themed music on the channel haha! Admittedly, crafting something in the style of Inazuma's music seems quite challenging, and I haven't given it a fair shot yet. Maybe one day I'll muster the courage and create an Inazuma fan-theme!
Anyway, I'm glad you like my recent approach to covers where I try to be a little more creative and free. I think it's great because it offers a unique interpretation of the theme.

i love how when you look into the blade and you see acheron's white hair
i notice her teq (fk spellign the whole word) her hair turns grey and gets longer, she then says somehting like blade of old, and ult says "i weep for the departed" i wonder if she is symbolic of aging, or danmAGE, the age danms you time/remit the dragon chronos "god" saturn that eats his own children, and thats what she is refrencing.

@@duongnguyen-s1i Yes it takes time to get music on Spotify and other streaming services. It varies depending on your distributor. Speaking of which, you also have to pay a yearly or monthly fee to your distributor and some will also require you to pay for a license if it is a cover you're distributing. My original soundtracks only take a few days to be on Spotify, whereas my covers take up to 3 weeks until they are approved.
Btw my cover of Acheron's theme should now be on Spotify!

@@duongnguyen-s1i Yup they have to approve it first. Spotify pays depending on how many streams I get but for covers the revenue is split, so that the original composer gets their share. So yes, for covers you get paid less ^^ (but usually, covers also get more streams compared to original songs)

Sure! For the winds I used the Shakuhachi layered with a Daegeum (although this is a traditional Korean instrument). For the strings I used Koto and Shamisen. Aside from that I used various Japanese percussive instruments such as Taiko, Tsuri, Kakko, Shoko.
All instruments are from the East Asia instrument library included within Komplete 14

Acheron's theme but what if it was good, seriously, her music in the trailer doesn't even sound like music, it's just some noise with a semblance of a rhythm on it.
I wasn't a big fan of the original either, so I made this version. But that's the thing with different genres - you either dig them or you don't. If this cover made you like her theme a little better, I'm happy! :D
Which is why her original theme song is perfect for her. As it describes her conflicts internally.
