- 4th of may 2016 my dreadlocks turned 3 years old, and I want to celebrate that by showing you the journey, how they have changed over the last 3 years in this timeline video with pictures. I hope that you enjoy it!

Personally, I think the thin, baby dreadlocks are my favorites. I just really like the way they look in comparison to thicker dreadlocks.

Everyone should just not care about her hair. Just leave if you don't like it. No one is forcing you to write a hateful comment. I personally think she looks great with them and she probably looks great without them too but no matter what she is a beautiful person. Everyone should get out of here with his/her racist and negative comments.

You are just so beautiful!! Your features are so pretty and I have never seen anyone be able to look so natural with so many different hair colors. I've never liked dreads, especially on women, but you just rock them so fiercely.

You are such a beautiful person Elise! I just realized that we now share the same "dreadiversary" I just started my own dreadlocks on May 4th of this year. I promise that was not on purpose. Although I only have partial dreads right now. I'm going to get my whole head done within the next week or so. Your videos are so informative and encouraging. Thank you for what you do. Mine just turned 1 month and 3 days. I have watched tons of timelines but this one really puts my mind at ease lol. My natural hair color is red and its really long an I backcombed mine by myself. I think our texture is alike too because my 1 month dreads look like your picture. Thanks for sharing

Just to be clear black people aren't the only ones who have dreads in their culture
Vikings also had them and other cultures so dont be so butthurt over something that isn't only in your culture

You should really research your peoples history, they did not have dreads. They had a specific matted hairstyle in which one piece at the front of the head was matted (different to dreadlocks which are actually a curl pattern and can be easily unraveled) while the rest of the hair was shaven. Very different than the dreadlocks black people popularized among each other during the African Diaspora :)
Kas P. Not all African people had dreads to be part of their culture, in some cultures only men where allowed to Wear dreads while they were training to become hunters.

i dont hv dreadlocks and I've never seen anyone with dreadlocks. In fact it is truly hard to find one with dreadlocks in my country. But it was refreshing to see videos like this, and funny sometimes to hear the terms baby, matures etc. you're very nice btw

i'm from malaysia. it wasn't in our culture i guess :) i am currently in university and there's a lot of foreign students here. so far i've probably seen 2 people with dreadlocks, a black guy that came to my uni to study and another one is a white tourist girl I met on the street two days ago. I'm about to stare at her dreadlock but afraid it would be too rude to do so xD

Hi Elise. I love your channel and get a lot of great ideas from your clothing and apartment. One thing I know you've talked about is conditioners for your hair. My daughter and I have really dry hair that tends to rope if left alone. I saw you talk about a conditioner called something like, .......locs. I've looked and looked through your videos and can't find it. Maybe you could direct me to the right place to look, or do another video on hair conditioners. i really enjoy your vids/vlogs! i notice the dry time after i wash my dreads isnt long at all. minimal dampness at the scalp for a few hours... does the dampness/dry time increase as yours matured? happy belated 3 years!

Late to the party, but I think your hair is gorgeous. And it shows how ignorant people are when they claim this hair style for African Americans. I guess cavemen were African Americans, or Vikings, or any other number of people and cultures spanning back for thousands of years. The fact is if you don't brush your hair, its gonna lock up. Oh no, she likes the look more of maintained dreads compared to neglect ones. The world is gonna end ;o But guess what, we're still here, her hair is still beautiful, and people are still stupid.

If you go to a fabric store, you'll find fabric dyes as well as dye removers. If you ever want to dye your hair a bright green or another unnatural color, try using that color stripping product.
