The use of contrast between DL OG black and yellow colour with its apocalyptic theme to the current medieval dark age presented in oil painting and orchestra (same composer as a plagues tale) show us Techland knows how different in terms of tone its gonna be, i was hoping they didnt complete change the vibe from DL but they offer enough to remind you the great of the first and how the second offer something new to it.

Hearing this theme again made you realize how awesome DL1 storyline was. It gave me goosebumps and it made me feel like I made a huge impact in Haaran with everything I did in the game, which saddened me knowing it was nuked. But you still have some Haaran survivors that escaped and mentioned about you (Crane) in DL2.
It definitely isn't 10 out of 10 and I absolutely love it, but I must admit it'd borderline unplayable towards the end on ps4, I fucking can't wait for them to patch the bugs and add a ng+ mode then I will agree 10 out of 10

Covid hit the sweet spot of low mortality high infection rate. There's not much we can do against a threat where anywhere between 50% and 70% of those infected show zero symptoms but are still infectious. Zombies are WAY easier to deal with in comparison; if Americans could shoot covid to death the pandemic wouldn't have lasted the weekend lol.

Okay, just finished playing DL2 it was a great game…but for me the best thing is re-hearing once again the theme of the first DL…it was something…idk it was simply fantastic

The intro is handcrafted beautifully, firstly the background music in the first half is the same one from dl1 so you will get nostalgia if you played it and the transitions are smooth minus like one or 2 then on the second half you see that humanity is in it's Last stand and the encouraging music in the background really fits it! The team who made the intro needs a raise

But when the virus broke out (supposedly in harran,villedor)the government stripped the country of all its weapons..so that means that if Villedor is the last remaining bastion of humanity(AKA no more government)that they will only be extending the map to a furthur amount so that the players can access weapons to where the GRE hid it.
There is a mission in dl2, history lesson, where someone tells you who stole the weapons and why there are no weapons in Villedor. GRE didn't have the weapons
by this cinematic it kinda seems like life secluded outside of settlements would be alot safer then living with anyone else, the world seemed to be a fairly empty place but it looks like you can still grow crops without too much difficulty
Ngl this made me feel like dying light 2 is gonna be less scary and has a good ending unlike the first game where even if ifs just a country thats infected, the atmosphere and cutscenes made it look like its the end.

For me this whole intro has big "deus ex machina" vibes (so the game could happen, you will see that a lot). GRE keeps working on a weapon that idk how can be weaponised (so the game can happen), GRE of course had a leak (so the game can-) and the cure and vaccine that were developed both had 0 effect on the world (so the g-). In my not so popular opinion, just saying the virus got leaked from Harran into the rest of the world due to the escape of an unknown night hunter(Kyle crane after the following), would be way more straight forward, less convoluted, connected the lore to both the first game plus dlc, just better in everyway. In the second game Kyle's being described as a mysterious hero figure that everyone from Harran look up to. Imagine if this is the actual opening, with people not knowing the spread of the virus is caused by the hero they respected, how chilling would that be. Heck it could even set up a easter egg boss fight where Aiden with his enhanced body go against an unknown volatile subspecies called night hunter where subtle hints will be given that the monster is Kyle Crane. I don't like the idea of saying oh a cure's already developed, then goes oh no nvm outbreak happens again, it undermines everything, might as well say there's not a cure in the first place.
