Nice work Vadim. Really nice shots. As a drone pilot myself I love seeing people with the ability to fly and shoot epic things. Funny the same guy threatened to call the police on me one Sunday afternoon for flying my drone over the lava field in my neighborhood. (My wife and 3 kids live about 1500 feet from fissure 8, we built our home in 2004) and my daughter was born about 10 feet from where he is standing, in the birthing center that used to be directly to this guy’s left. I’m pretty sure that he seems to believe that he owns the lava fields… How much did this guy charge you so you could fly over “his” lava field? He really upset my 3 year old son who was also born in leilani at home in the bathtub… anyway, like I said you’re a good pilot and your work speaks for itself.
Thank you, Bryan. I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. Kris was friendly with us, and he let me fly my drone without any problems. I did, however, offer to pay for his "walking tour" and personal account of the events. In all honesty, he did spend at least two hours showing us everything and explaining and educating us about the fissures. I didn't feel duped by him; obviously, I can't verify his story, but it seemed legitimate enough and felt very personal. Is he making money from the event? Sure, but so does the Big Park, which charges a $50 park entry fee just to see the night glow from afar. In terms of flying a drone, we had a great time flying around Hawaii. More videos will be added soon.

I was there in 2018 and just went back last month. I was shocked at the cone height. 170' tall thats the height of a 14 story building.
