I think she threw this out there just to get rid of Joe...then she could get the parents back to where they were...the only time the mother acted happy is when grandma expressed her faults. She's totally expecting that boyfriend to parent her kids. And when he won't she'll come running back to her parents. And what the parents should do is then say "remember that homeless shelter you scoffed at? Go live there."
She resents her children. That's the truth of it. She thought it would be fun to have them but now she's bored. She wants to be young, free and single with no ties. I really feel for her children but I'm thankful they have grandparents who do genuinely love them. They need to know somebody does. Even in the back to back talk she admits she's lazy. No wonder Grandma had to step in. I don't blame her at all. That mom is 25 and needs to get her act together!

Is it just me, or does Kristen look far older than 25? It was tragic when her sons sweetly asked her to play ball and she nonchalantly said "she would watch" and immediately turned her head away.
Yeah that was painful to watch. And when they were asking if she would get up to get them ready and feed them in the morning, she said she’s rather sleep and her kid was right there listening 😢

I get up at 6 to 7 am to clean my cats' potty, give them their medicine, and feed them! And I have to monitor them and make sure they eat.

I know someone who parents this way. They refuse to see that their own parenting is why I tend to say no to babysitting as often. In her mind, (she said so out loud) my husband/myself/my children are being "hateful" when any of us call her or her child out on bad behavior.

Never saw this episode, but that mom is the WORST. My mother helps me take care of my children while I work. When I'm home? I'm doing dishes, making meals, starting baths and showers, cleaning up, doing laundry, taking out the trash, etc... PLUS I pay the entire rent, and some of the other bills, and contribute to food, clothing, etc... Because I CHOSE to have kids. They are MY responsibility... I wanna take this mom out with the trash now...
Most of the parents know they are struggling, know they need help and just need to be pointed in the right direction, so to speak. This young woman is lazy and spoiled; she has no interest in her children.

I watched the boys and their mother and grandparents, sadly, I thought two words: Foster Care! Their mother needs some intense counseling and the grandparents need to be released from this

They're saying how, rather than blaming the father(s) who likely made the conscious decision to abandon their own child(ren), the woman is blamed entirely.

I think Kristen is leaving because she doesn't want to follow through with Jo's plan. And once the boyfriend sees how it is, the relationship will end. Kristen will either have to stand up and start being responsible or move back in with her parents. The parents answer should be no.

Kristen is never specific about what exactly her grievances are. Except when she says her mum doesn't let her be the parent. Yet when it came to 'who will get the children up, dressed and b'fasted?' she would not volunteer. UNBELIEVABLE!
I think she might've wanted to abort the children and the grandmother convinced her not to, and now she hates her life, her mother, and her children. Thats the only thing I can think of, because she really hates her mom and she really hates the poor kids

One of my best friend's grew up in the foster care, it was very similar to that homeless shelter. When I showed him that, he started shouting in his native language n crying ;-; we literally just cuddled all night to help him feel better

Kristen is age 25 yet behaving like I did age 15-16. She‘s so immature, stubborn and unreflective. I don‘t understand why people get children at such young ages just to realize how hard work that is to raise, feed and support them for at least 18-20 years.
I’m 23 now I don’t have kids but I’m getting my life together by going to college, and next year I’ll be planning my wedding

The way she earnestly took to Jo's suggestions tells me she's been waiting for this kind of instruction. Waiting for actual parenting. No accident here ..the Grandparents just had their chickadee come back home to roost.
Challenges certainly reveal character. She gives off only child vibes. They gave her everything so she didn't learn how to earn anything. She doesn't seem to have really engaged at school either so her capacity for meaningful work is limited. She's kind of frozen in extended adolescence.
