@@JoelJames2 Take all this with more than a grain of salt. In the far future humanity is at war with an unknown enemy. We create a new form of weapon to fight back, the Sirens, but they are not cutting it. To better research the Wisdom Cube Technology. To do this they made a series of pocket dimensions to run there test. The setting of the test is the last great age of navel combat, WW2. The games and anime are each set in at least the second or third round of testing or later. During the testing an anomaly appeared that allowed some of the ship girls to "awaken." Think going Super Saiyan or any other anime power up. Those that have Awakened are of great interest to the Sirens, and they are trying to understand it. Ash/Code G is an awakened Enterprise from an earlier series of test. She and about 6 other awakened have learned the truth about what is going on and are working with the Sirens, but not always. Some are helping the residents of the pocket dimension, some Sirens have turned on their allies and are helping the Azur Lane. The story its self is a multi-verse tale with recursive timelines and butterfly effect.
@@gmradio2436 That...wow, that's a lot more complicated than I thought it would be. Any indication on who the threat that the Sirens were created to fight against are? And are the creators of Sirens even human?
@@JoelJames2 I believe the creators are humans. Just from a very desperate time. Wisdoms cubes make a ship girl from the hopes and dreams of humanity, and all the Sirens are based on deep see monsters. Observer is a kraken/octopus, Purifier is a shark/megalodon, and tester is a great manta ray. Meanwhile the ship girls of ww2 represent the hopes of their respective nations. Then there is the black wisdom cubes.
