I love how they wrote Balalaika and the rest of the members of the Russian mafia Ex-soldiers who served the Soviet Union by fighting in the Soviet-Afghan War. Balalaika takes shit from no one who rose to higher ranks by charm and wits like that former KGB agent. The strength that her organization shows came from pure strength, they're organized, they communicate and they're coordinated because they were in the military. She's an intimidating character to come across because you have to realize she's protected by the former Soviet Union's best of the best. Honestly one of my favorite animes

Balalaika easily my favorite character in this series. She and Edda are the two that are two that just can kick you ass in person, but also outscheme you till they kingdom come and that last part is a heck of a lot more scary.
She’s a beautifully portrayed for an anime woman. She’s confident, but not arrogant, she knows her place. So classy and elegant, she has good manners and is polite and respectful, but isn’t afraid to walk around like she owns the place. Even for a very formal woman, she’s not above teasing and being playful. Calm, composed, relaxed, elegant, charming, charismatic, graceful, the list goes on. She knows how to use her power and authority effectively and practically. What isn’t there to like?
This is utterly amazing. Awesome tribute to Balalaika and Hotel Moscow. Nice to keep finding vids made from people who appreciated this amazing animated series. Remarkable showing of different stages of her life. Great work, ideal choice of song and talented editing, well done.

the first time i set eyes on this anime i thought it would be interesting... I got hooked 3 episodes in then i binged it within 2-4 days finishing it, its too bad the anime is discontinued.
Well there’s only a single story arc completed after robertas blood trail, but the manga got continued quite recently so there might still come a season 4 in the future.
