I also need it for reading and watching videos, are the apps for videos fast to open? My Kindle Amazon Fire 7 struggles. would love to know your experience
@@adarnia I use it mainly for the ebooks. When reading it's smooth when turning the pages. I don't have videos on it. Usually a bit slow when starting an app, say, youtube. But when you start a video it's ok. I don't have high expectations when the price is so cheap. It's good enough for my purpose.
Typical E-waste, Lenovo could have simply used a 2 year old flagship model with a latest mid level processor. This would have saved some money in the chassis production (only change the internal). Micro-USB in 2022 and in the EU. Overall a bad product from Lenovo. Great review.
I just ordered one...and my only plan is to use it for reading books. I have arthritis...and my Kindle Fire and my IPad are a but heavy for my flare-ups.
@Bett the Killerᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ I have the 10 inch Fire HD and it gets heavy. The kindle reader is only in black and white. Don't judge me. I'm so weird lol. I like the color.
I got this as something to keep my kid busy on a long plane trip, admittedly not doing much research. I had low expectations for an $85 tablet, but I thought in the year 2022 I wouldn't be buying something that's less than 720p with micro-USB. The camera is terrible too. I'm actually facing an issue that a few people on their forums seem to have: if you create multiple user accounts it won't give you an option to log back into one of them. One user will be grayed out, and in my case that's the admin user.
1. Much smaller (thinner bezels) than the Amazon 7". 2. True resolution is 600p, but the quality on offer in most apps is 480p or 720p. If I choose 720p on RUclips the quality is better than choosing 480p. I suspect the device downscales to 600p not 480p. 3. It's not possible to use this trick on Amazon Prime or Netflix which won't stream 720p because Widevine Level 1 isn't supported. 4. Tab M8 gen 3 8" 720p is better in every way for just $10-20 more. But it won't do 720p due to lack of Widevine Level 1. That requires the frequently $99 M9 which is 1" larger. Thanks for covering these often overlooked devices. I bought this and regretted it; if only it had 720p and supported Netflix at 720p
Can I just have a 7 inch tablet with a flagship chipset lol. Or god forbid a 7-inch Windows 11 tablet with a Core i7 like the Surface Pro, but opting for a bigger battery instead of being 0.37 inches thick.
Got this for ₹4500INR on Amazon sale, that'd be almost $55USD. Totally worth it. I am using it to read PDFs and go through RUclips as a bedside device. Didn't lag nor is it too cumbersome. Think of it like a compromise between a smartphone and a dumbphone/keypad phone. I really love it, light weight, not so gaudy as some cheaper options available at the price, the battery also seems to run good. The only game I play is clash of clans and it does not lag so I don't mind at all. Has become a perfect companion for me after my office work is done, and before I go to bed, during that key personal time where I can just relax and have a little entertainment. Beware-Not for the tech savvy lot, it is rightly only for the laid-back chill sort of bros who don't need all the processor power in the world! 👍🏽
I also need it for reading and watching videos, are the apps for videos fast to open? and can I open at least 3 apps without the device lagging? My Kindle Amazon Fire 7 struggles. would love to know your experience
@@adarnia sorry for the delayed response. Yes it is quite good for reading. Good enough for normal day to day usage. Unless it has something to do with gaming or editing, this tab doesn't lag or hang as far as I have seen. But if you really need something higher performance wise, try the Tab M8. It has bigger RAM, display and a more powerful processor.
I want to get this for my mom, but the slowness could be an issue. She mainly just use it for facebook, messenger and occasionally checks on her emails. Will the slowness really affect?
looking for a tab for my babyboy. he likes youtubes etc, watching videos etc. is it a good tablet for kids? can install youtube app on it? it does have memory card slot?
For babies it's fine if it should be as cheap as possible. If you're a little bit geeky, check out the Amazon Fire 7 as well but here you've got to install the Google Play Store yourself which is a bit tricky.
Such a shame there is no 7-inch tablet with better specs on the market.
yeah. i was planning to use it as infotainment in my car
indeed, there need to ne a full spec 7 inch and 9inch tablet
6.8 inch phones tho
@@LeonSoEpic All the phones nowadays are narrow and long for some reason... just not good for reading and you get a smaller keyboard when typing
Bought it for the size. Got it mainly for reading and watching RUclips. Really good enough for that.

I love the size. Hated the Android go Os. Please Lenovo make the 4 version more premium. 💪💪💪

Even the $60 USD Amazon Fire tablet is getting USB-C. I cannot believe they released a micro USB device in 2022
I really like the size of the tablet, mostly I used for reading news and my ebooks on the go
thats funny cause thats exactly why i bought this device and to hook up to my cloud

You suffered so we don't have to. :)
Great, honest review.
This is a damn shame because it is the perfect form factor for me.
Totally agree.
All I want is an iPad mini sized Android or non-ARM Windows 11 device :-/
Would the speed be ok for simple spreadsheets? Like for gym training logs?

I use it for browsing images, can also play videos up to 720p. It absolutely doesn't cope with 1024p and trying to watch youtube on it is torture.
I bought this today for my 10 year old nephew
Is that a old refurbished Nexus 7 with a custom ROM on 22
How many gb of Memory card should I insert on that unit?
2gb of ram? That's too little 🤔
Yeah , its very poor for 2022 .
That's why they used go edition of android that's disappointing
android os is bloatware its like windows you gotta format reinstall after sometime
Bro it has android go its meant for granny
weird question: there's no 7 inch tablet with 4k support ? more power would be interesting for drone use for example...
Is it possible to send emails for office purpose and other small office tasking in this tab . This is available in India as well
Can you make a video comparing Tab S8 Plus or Ultra VS Surface Pro 8

It's a horrible tablet after about a month the tablet starts to make the wifi go of and the battery life extremely short
Waste of money

I'm watching this video from one and I agree 😂. But I don't need much, just something to watch on the plane and pay NES games.
