I have a plaque that reads, "You will be too much for some people. Those are not your people." If I watch a video I don't like I just don't go back. Everyone likes different things and there is enough content out there to satisfy all. There is no need to make mean comments just to make them! I come to you to learn and for your stories. A lot of others wouldn't share, but we are grateful that you are willing to share your life with us. You really make my day especially when you talk about your little ones as mine are grown and gone. Don't listen to others, you do you and be proud of it.
Kelly first, you did an absolutely perfect job coloring this card. I watched the release party and thought it was a gorgeous illustration, my first instinct was to purchase it, I am glad I chose not to. I am not a colorist and there is no possibility that I could do it justice. You did a wonderful job giving justice to Hannah's illustration.
Second, I don't think I have commented on your videos more than once or twice over the past few years, not because I don't appreciate it, and you but because I simply don't have the right words to express how much I love learning from you. I guess my lack of self confidence keeps me from saying anything.
I think hearing your story time is what makes you not just an amazing card maker, but makes you an inspiration for those of us who are struggling with life's crazy crud that is dumped on us and that we are not alone in life struggle. I come here to learn and I come for life inspiration. You provide both and I am grateful. That other person can go find someone who has less to give. I feel blessed to be able to learn card making as well as life struggle and how you get through them.I am not going to get into my current struggle but one is that I will probably have to totally give up this hobby soon.
You are truly blessed to have your family including your mom and mom in law and such a supportive husband and children. I envy that.

Never have been able to understand people that make undesirable comments. "They" are choosing to watch your video and if they aren't liking it, just stop it and move on. This card is absolutely beautiful, much like all the rest of your cards, but I especially like this one. I realize also that so often people feel at years making comments to people online because it’s not a person standing in front of you. But honestly if they can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all. That’s what my mama always taught me, and that’s my motto in life. I have been watching your channel for many years now and first let me say that your stories are one of the reasons why I fell in love with your channel. I lost my daughter in a car accident and one of the few things after that gave me any joy was watching videos where I could escape. Your stories helped me get through some dark days and even helped me laugh. You may have one or two that will come to your channel and make a negative comment but there are so many of us that come here to watch you make a beautiful card and perhaps laugh at the many antics that you tell in your stories. Thank you for sharing your life with us and your beautiful family. Keep doing what your doing and know how much we appreciate you as well. PS...I absolutely love Hummingbirds...you did it justice.

First of all... Your response of "Go find less" to that person was I must say Perfect! You're right.... you don't have to apologize for being who you are. The reason I subscribed to watching your videos is because of your ability to talk & create at the same time. You waste no time when doing your videos & I like that. It amazes me how you can keep a conversation going & explain in detail of what you're doing at the same time without stopping or pausing... to me that is just awesome. This card is just Beautiful!! This card blows me away! It’s so beautiful. Adding the ink blending to the colored cardstock really makes for a wonderful backdrop. I too often feel plain (but colored) cardstock is meh if it’s a larger area. Your treatment did the trick! And the coloring? Chef’s kiss!

So gorgeous, would never have thought to do this on a colored cardstock and get the beautiful result you have here. And “go find less” that is a great counter to those who expect more than what any artist intends to share and for which there is no reason you would have to apologize! I love story time! It makes me feel like I know you, and you are the kind of person I would want to know in real life. I've learned so much about coloring from you that I use in my card making. However I don't usually watch your videos right when they come out, I usually save them and watch a bunch at a time so I can get lots of story time. Please don't let the negative Nancy's get to you. There's always going to be that type of person who feels better about themselves by putting others down. That's sad.

I have a granddaughter who has a baby that will be 1 year old August 10. Your stories, go along often what we are hearing from our granddaughters experiences! Since my husband is a retired 30 professional firefighter, I get what it takes to do all you are doing. You are never too much! Keep being and sharing you!

Hi Kelly, so glad that you DO NOT let anyone intimidate you, LOVE you the way you are. I can not understand how someone goes to a channel and then criticizes the host instead of just going to another channel. Who criticizes a host, especially someone who has a large following. You are so down-to-earth, that is one reason I follow and I’m also a former deputy so of course I’m going to support someone who understands the life, but you are also a GREAT teacher and that is important to me. Being able to learn from someone who enjoys telling the little in’s and out’s that most teacher don’t even realize are important to know. Thank you for being so open with your followers. We all have problems and we don’t stop to think that sometimes by us being open and talking about them and how we solved it might help someone else. When we are so enthralled in a problem we can’t “see the forest for the trees” but when someone else makes it through we realize we can make it to the other side, so “Thank you” for being gabby. LOVE the card, hummingbirds are one of my favorites.

Thank you for breaking down no line coloring. I have tried with alcohol markers and Zig real brush markers and was very discouraged. I now feel like colored pencils could be the answer. Never ever make yourself less so someone else feels more comfortable. You're perfect just they way you are. That's what I live by. I know I'm a lot, I work in an elementary school, I have to be a lot to keep the kids attention. Keep on being you!

Absolutely stunning card, Kelly! Based on the hummingbirds that like several of the flowers in my backyard and are very curious about my face for some reason ( they fly up to about 6 inches away from my eye balls and scare me with those pointy beaks), the beaks are black and dark brown. At least the ones here in Southern California.
Your comment of “Go find less” is absolutely amazing! And I’m probably going to borrow it. lol. I know it’s pretty common, but it still amazes me that some people feel so entitled to leave nasty, hurtful comments to other people. It says a LOT about them, and your reaction says wonderful things about you.
