I love the fact the start is violins, very similar to Hopes and Dreams. Further giving the listener/player a feeling of “This is the end”. Also, great job of putting a ton of leitmotifs.

I can already imagine that in this fight you get a massive statboost based on the locations you've been to and the friends you've made along the way kind of like how it is in earthbound once you defeat the nightmare and if you do a weird route the natural power you gained from killing all the enemies is enough to compare to those statboosts.

@@mechamedegeorge6786 It'd probably increase in difficulty depending on the recruits you have. Maybe the attacks hit harder or last longer, kinda mirroring the difficulty of Undertale's pacifist, neutral and genocide endings and their difficulties.

Well, being on the brink of falling into the Weird Route will, to be precise.
Think about it, you can abort the weird route right at Berdly, which lets you get the Thorn Ring and the Snowgrave spell.
You get two " Snowgrave exclusives" without fully committing to it. You are getting stronger without the drawbacks.

ok so heres a neat idea
seeing as your max HP is 0 in this fight, you can't heal AT ALL, but everything does one damage and you have half the usual I-frames. The catch?
The more allies you recruited, the more HP and I-frames you'll have, and the boss will have more complex attacks.
At one point, the boss is scripted to put you at 1HP and kill you, but then the Secret Bosses (if you fought them all) or the end-bosses (Queen, King, etc) will show up to help you. Cue getting Chapter themed spells where you get to use the characters of each chapter (IE using Lancer and King as an attack, Queen's Giga mech, etc) or the Secret bosses (Jevil appears to use his Final Chaos and Spamton appears in his giant form from his special attack).
would prefer the secret bosses instead of end bosses
@@SpamtonGSpamton1997- Same, but it wouldn't make much sense if some end up hidden and unmentioned like Jevil. IF you DO manage to beat them all, then they show up instead of the end bosses.

I don't think they'd use the word "recruit" if it didn't have any significance. I feel like there might be a strategy RPG-style section at some point, where all the enemies will be fighting on your side.

dude, I am not kidding one single bit when I say that this song you have created is so good it’s almost indescribable… like I’m not an expert on “music theory” or anything but the way this makes me feel is the same sensation I get when I feel an overwhelming love for something and it’s so strong that I feel the need to leap out of my body or scream my lungs out… it’s like my heart beats faster or something and I need to run around the room to get rid of the energy I get while listening to it… it’s like when I see a very small, cute animal and I love it so much I want to hug it as I would a stuffed animal but I know it is delicate and I can’t express my emotions in that way so I get mad/sad. this song is like jesus himself. thank you for creating it. i personally think having it continue through 2:40 is a bit out of place though. it's like... (idk music theory but) like, castle town's notes are going downward while the chords move upward. it's kinda weird. it's still really neat though.

i like the concept of not playing as kris but rather as the vessel you make at the start of the game that's supposed to represent who you are, and not who you're predetermined to be, and the health being sort of a reference to gaster's health in undertale's files is cool too. i like the use of the leitmotifs.

You're hella talented my guy, easily one of if not THE best DR fansong, and that's a fierce competition ! And you nailed the Doctor's dialogue (the all caps normal font part, not the Wingdings minecrap thing) in the desc, based and Redpilled 😎.
Could legit be actual dialogue later down the line as it does fit his Redpilled Sigma Male philosophy.
Even if Sigmas defenetly wouldn't get along with characters like Noëlle and Susie, or respect Kris for obvious reasons, they'd still be willing to put that aside temporarly to stick it to the elites pulling the strings, if it means they'll finally be free to go their own way, well away from modernity

gaster is the devil he is going to trick us and play us for fools
@surreal6055 My theory is that Gaster and The Angel are playing a sort of game for the fate of deltarune, And the secret bosses that were driven insane by gaster was him trying to use them as pawns to beat the angel, But eventually knew he couldn't do it alone, Thus calling the most determined being he knew from watching the events of undertale, The Player. He told Ralsei the Prophecy, And pulled strings from the background to help the Player, And at the end after the defeat of the angel, takes control of the timeline, And locks the player out of their save file, Hijacked it. If we boot up a new save file and we have all the crystals, We see the bunker now open, Going in and exploring results us going deep enough to meet Gaster in a lab, Starting the secret boss fight, Against The Man Who Speaks in Hands.
The use of leitmotifs, the way of delivering the feelings, The mood going up and down through the song... It is amazing. I hope you will do more work like this
This feels more like a song that plays during the credits than a final boss fight. But that’s just my opinion

I give it a 7.5 out of 10.
Don’t be discouraged by the rating, though. I think this is a really awesome track that synthesizes the major leitmotifs that we have so far in a way that pays homage to Hopes and Dreams/Save the World in a really kickass way. It’s be the coolest thing if we got a final battle with music like this, but I feel it’s just as probable that Toby will take an entirely different approach to it.
As for my criticisms:
- The overall structure of the track feels a bit too simplistic and dragged on. You have a clear setup with Buildup for Leitmotif A, B, C, D, E with each respective buildup followed by a Hopes and Dreams-styled chorus. This is awesome, like I said, but it feels like it drags from the lack of variety in execution (This is especially apparent by the time we get to Hometown’s section although it is much shorter and transitions quickly into The World Revolving and the closing segment).
- The segment using The Legend’s chorus feels just a tad awkward towards the end. I feel that it would probably be better incorporated if it transitions to some other style or set of instruments as it reaches its conclusion.
What would I suggest?
The first two leitmotifs (Startup Don’t Forget and The Chase segment) are perfectly fine the way they are, and I wouldn’t personally do anything with them.
The buildup for The Legend’s section is fine, and you might even be able to keep the first half of its chorus too. Maybe change the way The Legend’s chorus sounds as it runs its course to reduce the awkwardness of the second half and add some variety to the track overall.
I’d probably change the style for Hometown’s chorus as well. Not sure what, but probably something distinct so it doesn’t feel like you just swapped out the styles for a couple of the leitmotifs (although this may not be necessary depending on how the revised section for The Legend sounds).
Those are just my suggestions though. Still a great track, and I’m happy with it as is even despite its flaws!
