  • The late 80s delivered some amazing movies, and one of them was the classic "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" a classic adventure movie that's right up there with "The Goonies" and "Indiana Jones" with its sense of adventure. Obsidian Entertainment, known for titles like Fallout New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic II, and the recent Switch Addition Pentiment (an essential purchase) have proven time and time again that they can weave a narrative in an epic adventure, so the news that Microsoft was porting Grounded was met with anticipation and excitement. What's It Like? Let's go back to the 90s, bring some ant repellant, and start planning your base build as we review Grounded on Nintendo Switch.

    It looks decent enough but at this point in the switch lifecycle I'm growing tired of the blurry ports from other systems.

      That's a fair opinion. I frequently play in handheld so I don't notice it too much, but as soon as I play in docked it hits like a truck. Here's hoping we get some news on Switch 2 soon.

      Honestly, the game runs really well on switch, and though it obviously doesn't look as sharp as it does on the current gen consoles, its art style really hides the Switch's lack of power well! Much like No Man's Sky, this is a VERY impressive port that will offer HUNDREDS of hours of quality gameplay! Plus the fact that you can cross save between all systems if you link your MS account, means that you can use your switch to play it portably, but then you can play the same file on your High Res Xbox or PS5, when you get home!

    Looks like it runs well considering it can get pretty beefy on other platforms. Didn’t really get into it on Xbox but might be a fun couch co-op game though

    Groundeds nothing like ark. Ark barely has survival, barely has combat and barely has any reason to explore the map

    • @whatsitlikeau
      @whatsitlikeau  Месяц назад

      You didn't like Ark? In my opinion it has much more depth in base building and survival elements whilst Grounded has a much clearer and stronger narrative

      @@whatsitlikeau ive played alot of ark but ark has almost 0 survival elements. Food and water are inconvenience with no benefit to making or eating food. The base game without mods has some of the worst base building there is. Groundeds blue print system and coziness are far superior e8th again a gameplay bonus for building a base with lots of furniture and features. Arks combat is basically non existent, approach enemy, spam attack button repeat, vs groundeds perfect blocking vulnerability system. The other advantage ark has is taming mounts but honestly taming breeding dinos gets old fast and alot of the tames are just tedious and not fun. Grounded is fun to play, its fun to fight bugs and build bases. Ark is grindy and boring

    • @whatsitlikeau
