Human rights lawyers: Convicts can question Duterte's arrest order before courts | Matters of Fact

- Questions have been raised over the legality of President Duterte's arrest order for convicts released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance law. In this edition of #MattersofFact, human rights lawyers Rene Saguisag and Erin Tañada say only the courts have jurisdiction over the convicts. They add, any convicts who don't want to surrender can question the president's order before the courts.

how can he says nothing wrong, it undermines the executory effect of the sentence, if thr sentencr has been given it should have been respected. the law itself changes the sentence, reducing the length of incarceration.
Rapists, murderers if found guilty and imprisoned, shouldn’t be pardoned based on “good conduct”. They exhibit good conduct in prison because it’s a controlled environment. They don’t deserve such for the heinous crime they committed. Those who killed someone deserves death penalty. Period. End of conversation.
Don't mislead.... 15 days allowance was put in place first. Tackle that. Wait and see who come forward. Kung laos na kayo, feel free to step back and give CHANGE a chance.
