After a series of setbacks, Faldo's efforts paid off in May 1987, when he won the Peugeot Spanish Open, his first European Tour victory since 1984 (Faldo later said the win was a "major turning point," which restored his confidence) Two months later, in July 1987, Faldo claimed his first major title at The Open Championship at Muirfield
Kevin, thanks posting these videos! They’re really quite amazing. Great insights into the legend of Mac O’Grady! I’m puzzled by the dorsiflexion of the left wrist. Is the left wrist in dorsiflexion at P4, flat at P6, and then in dorsiflexion again at P9?
I would say slight dorsiflexion of both wrists throughout the entire swing increases wrist angle and clubhead speed. Like cocking wrists straight up and down.
Can you point me to one of your videos where p1-p2 is discussed in detail? To me from listening to Mack at least in the late 80s the point of the takeaway is basically to set the angle of the right wrist and then keep it there. At p2 I see him put ppl parallel to the ground, but to set the plane he discusses the club would need to be inside that point a little then as turn lift “not the best word for what I mean” arm to the top of the backswing. P1-P2 I’d really like more info on, bc I can get behind the whole point of the take away is to set the right wrist correctly.
Is the breaking a bona fide swing to be used in actual play or is it more of a training swing to teach oneself to keep arms tight to body? Would a brake swing create more club head speed than when not used? If so why would it not be used when max. distance was desired? How does it affect ball flight height? Did Mac abandon this model in later years and if so why? I know he also practiced with arms extended post impact which seems the opposite. Do you know why as this seems just the opposite? Thx. for your thoughts...
@@kevinralbovsky4621 yes sir... I've known quite a few tour caliber ball strikers that just could not putt. Early in the video someone commented "but can he putt?" Directed at McCord. Funny. Thank you again for posting these gems. I'm slowly getting through as many as i can.
Thanks for this priceless material Kevin. And for your other videos, full of insight and dedication. Please keep up the good work. Peace.
Fantastic series of videos.....many many thanks
Thanks again, I really wish he'd publish his findings in a book

Thank you! So, more like ulnar and radial deviation?

This will help. I wouldn’t overthink it.

who is the player in tan pants, white shirt, collar up hitting next to the Wilson bag ? Great video
Jerry Heard. He’d wrote a book called the Jerry Heard Super Swing. lol.
Great video Kevin. My Qs is does Mac advocate a weak left hand grip?
Strong left hand grip.
See my video Hammer Time.
Thanks!

All your questions are answered in my other videos 👍
Sadly, both Gary & Mac missed the cut. These sessions had to take away from their focus on competing.
They forgot their putters.
