Let's admire for a second that this isn't inflated to a 10 minute guide video with 30 sec intro, an irrelevant sponsor mention and pointless slice of life fillers on how you got to the track etc.
Fr😂😵
Agreed 100.
Amen
I don’t know where to find a ridge wallet though?
👏🏽👏🏽
Shoots man, I've been doing pushups my entire life (52 years), in fact I do 300 every morning, 150 at a time and I've only seen this type and the hindu version just yesterday and this one today. These are WAY more effective, and I can only do about 50 at a time before I'm completely gassed... Very effective!!!
True
I am looking for variations all the time. You're way overdue for that, my fit friend.
Go get like 10 cheap notebooks and record your records . 👍
How can you do so many?
At my best I could only get up to 70 to 80.
But I they never get easier still hard to do, don’t feel stronger, fitter or faster.
Very impressive dude at your age, I'm in the low 100's and 38, need to aspire towards your regime, very nice work!
300 pushups at 52?! You're a beast, Sir.... An absolute beast
Appreciate the simple explanation. I've been doing 50+ regular pushups a day now and will start to incorporate some of these as well. Thanks!
rotating push up bars are great because you can do different push ups with your hands at different angles. The different angles work different muscles in the arms and chest. You can also twist them as you're going down and up.

Quick great information. I cannot thank you enough, or tell ya how much I love this flash from the past when youtube videos lasted 1-5 minutes and went straight to the point. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Loads of these MT vids on RUclips but you are the first (I’ve seen) to offer a clear concise explanation of the drill. Nice one!
Awesome video!!! Short, sweet and to the point! Very easy to follow and understand! Thank you!!!
The simplicity of your explanation earned my subscription
Man, this is my triceps burning! And I gotta focus on my form when I start getting tired, but I already feel stronger and feel like I look stronger, so I’m definitely added this to the normal routine! Thanks for the explanation
when you feel like your form is getting worse stop and wait it would'nt make sense to keep going
One at a time, full range of motion is all that matters. The numbers come as you get stronger.
@@SAINTFLOOR totally wrong
@@Nickxxx85 how
@@SAINTFLOOR ever heard about cheat reps? You can increase muscle stimulus by doing couple more reps with different form or help of a training partner. Similar idea is when you take off some weight and do adittional couple reps straight after the set. It shouldn't be used all the time though as it put muscles under strong preassure. In push ups for example you can activate muscless more that way and by changing form a little you can tire the muscle groups that work less by targeting them with specific movement change. So adding more reps with different (broken is not the best word as it brings benefits) so with different form, is not diminishing positive effects of previous reps but also add some additional bonus. Of course you add these reps at the end of a set after doing as much as you can with proper form. It's generally not recommended for beginners I must add.
Short, succinct and informative. Nice video. I’ll be incorporating these into my workouts from now on.
Straight to the explanation, concise.. Going to check your other videos and hoping there's more of the same. Thanks!
I just love how short and to the point this was. Thanks.
Thank you for this short and simple explanation.
Great video man! Clear and concise! Thanks for making it. 😃👍
This is the best pushup demonstration video I have seen. Simple yet straight to the point. Thanks a lot
Thanks! You got straight to the point. Your video is the first video I've ever gifted.
Nice! Straight to the point with no fluff.
Thank you for not having a long winded intro. I tried these and man my shoulders on fire also . Shoulders and chest . I would love to do this more and I will
There is also the added benefit of greater activation of the serratus anterior (aka. the boxers' muscle), since your hands are moving above your head (very similar to a downward dog). It's an important muscle for boxers.
I agree, it definitely works the serratus muscles as well.
Good point! Thanks for pointing this out. God bless :)
No wonder the champ does these. I wonder who taught him these.
@@tomdylan2074 mmmm
That explains why I feel so sore on my shoulders and the serratus anterior after doing several rounds in Thrill of the Fight. Always thought I just had weak lats but it didn't make sense since it was towards the front & side of top ribs.
THANK YOU for the quick one. Appreciate it a lot.
Subscribed and liked because the video is short and to the point, thank you and keep them coming!
This could be incredibly useful for breaststroke swimmers. I’m going to use this variation in my team’s dryland workouts.
Shoulders wide, back and down, elbows in close and keep contraction throughout range. It really deepens that connection when pulling from full extension in the water.... former “flyer” here.
It helps with paddling a surfboard, that I can tell you without question...
It’s been a month, how are you doing?

Thanks for going straight to the point man. No nonsense, no time wasted
Quick, easy, thank you good sir.
I kind of stumbled into this form of push up by accident last week. For as much as I've studied about Mike, I didn't even know he did these. Dope. Thank you
Thanks for this video. It's really helpful
Thanks for making a video that gets to the point!
great information!
it seems that you're just starting RUclips
wish you the best in your journey man, keep it up.
Thanks man I'm hoping to bring some novelty to RUclips fitness.
Excellent video. You explained everything in a concise manner and that’s a relief considering that so many exercise videos take 10 minutes to do what you did in about 1/10 the time.
Super dope and timely brotha! Many thanks! Cheers!
Excellent vid! 😎
This is super interesting. I learned this technique in a program I was doing a while back, but never knew it was a Mike Tyson thing. I like these way better than standard push ups. We still get the same benefits from it, and we make it a full body movement.
Thanks for the push forward power tip from the feet 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Yeah you can really feel a burn in the quads when you do it properly.
Thank you for simple explaining and straight to the point video, not like other videos 😅
That's what you called a super video. Straight to the point. Thanks.
I gotta give these a try. Some weeks are busier than others which means shorter workouts. These pushups with Pull ups and Squats added in make a pretty good overall workout. Thanks for posting, Peace, Sal
My thoughts exactly. These push-ups hit my shoulders (the whole shoulders, not just the front delts), my upper chest, my triceps and my quads. Truly a full body exercise. Throw in some chin-ups and squats and you're set to go.
I recommend people try the Hindu push up variation, especially if they want to target the core much more heavily. It targets all the same muscle groups, but because you end up in a upward facing dog position you're stretching the core out much more, and I've been finding it has good results thus far.
Bitch! I recommend you upload your own videos then. We are here for the Mike Tyson pushup!!!
proper hindu pushups are intense af
it's easier than the tyson push up
@@ko-Daegu then you're not doing them right at all, this tyson pushup is SUPER easy, only adds a little bit of extra muscle grp to pushup, but its not demanding or challenging at all. GOOD hindu pushup is a totally different beast, especially slow on the way back, rare to see it done correctly though even on the most popular vids. Try going backwards slowly exactly the way you went down, and see how it feels🤣🤣
hell yeah Hindus and flutter kicks are better than crunches
*QUICK AND PAINLESS VIDEO, THANK YOU.*
Thanks for sharing. I will definitely try this
When I first explored this style I found that I was clearly able to contract my posterior chain throughout the entire range then later found I could extend throughout the legth of my body getting a deeper contraction...... and oh yeah, this increases intensity!
I love this! I'm getting back into shape, are there any progressions you suggest? It looks like a great full body calesthenic.
That is an awesome exercise and more awesome explanation straight to the point
What a find!
Short, well explained, perfect
Subbed 💯
I'd really love to have this pushup explained by Iron Mike himself. He's quite a motivational speaker.
Ive been doing these for over a week now and I love em.
Thanks for the knowledge man
Interesting!
Thanks for making this video, I'll be sure to try it out asap!
I've never seen this before and it looks like an awesome idea. Giving these a go my next workout.
Tried doing this today. Can confirm they take a lot more out of you than a regular pushup.
Perfect. Keep it that short. No water. No bull. Thank you.
I never seen these I will try these day.thanks for the video.
Man these are awesome, first time i tried them was after 60 navy seals and i only managed 5.. I am now slowly up to 20 and they are a very good all round exercise. Thanking you 👍
I tried them for the first time today and only managed to do 2 sets of 6 reps they are really taxing on the body
@PREMiERE PARER cheers lol
Most importantly it connects your mind muscle upper body pressing through the hands with the motion of lower body pressing through the feet, as most strikes are driven from the feet up and exercising the two seperately can cause a subtle disconnect.
Good point. Punches aren't thrown with the arms.
🙄
Very insightful comment.
@goggles789 you can punch a line, you can punch your opponent, just don't punch your wife
@@MotorcycleMan79 lol
Straight to the point. 10/10
Perfectly demonstrated. Much appreciated and Thanks.
Funny thing, I've been doing these for like years now without actually seeing them somewhere, I just feel much, much better when I do them (I don't really like isolation exercises). I love the downward dog motion and the pump in the chest when I do these they also force you to take the exercise a bit more slowly so you have time to perfect the motion and activation. They are really effective and about 80% of the pushups that I do are these way, Highly recommend!
Bullshit
Ye u like that doggie style ?

I see plenty disputes on whether Mike did said pushups. Can we agree, even if he didnt, he was a work horse AND DESERVES AT LEAST A PUSHUP NAMED AFTER HIM!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🥊🥊🥊 THANKS MIKE FOR ALL THE INSPIRATION EVEN SO AS OF LATE..NO ONE IS PERFECT..BUT I GOT MAD LOVE FOR YOU!💪🏾💪🏾🥊🥇🥇
Thag dude on the plane deserved what he got. Maybe Tyson could have held it together and that would have been better, but he did what I think a lot of men would do or want to do.
@goggles789 I respect ur opinion...but not concealing who you are...fake name and no face. Peace to you.
gonna try it. THanks for sharing!
This is fantastic!!!!
I'll definitely will try this out tomorrow!!!
Combining push-ups and squats in one movement, I often do a super-set of push-ups and squats but this is a good time saver.
Yep, plus I hate doing Squats but love doing pushups lol
I love it . I’ve been doing a rockered push-up for a while since there is a ton more engagement but never thought to brace my feet against the wall. Seems so simple but I missed it . Thanks
Thank you for sharing! Never heard of this one!!
Straight to the point. Thank you.
It seems to me this movement simulates the movement of throwing power punches, where the power comes through the legs/hips and up through the arms.
I get too much back pain when I do a regular push-up. This method looks good because it seems like it transfers a lot of that Force into the legs and balances things out better. And yes I do try to use my core a lot but that's back pain for you.
I feel ya👍
Even in the Army when I was fit and healthy.. My dang back would drive me nuts during the push-ups.. Both my core and back were strong, situps didn't bother me, form was nice and straight..But the dang back would drive me nuts.. I never complained cuz I figured it was just my broken ass...well that they woulda just smoked me more😄
If you have back pain, especially lower back pain, you should try deadlifting, it targets your lower back muscle, and it has really eliminated my back pain, that usually stems from weak lower back muscles.
There are many types of dead lift, you can do them with dumbells too, don't go for big weights, just enough to where you feel the muscle being used.
@@strategystuff5080 Hey Thanks! That's good advice. I:do remember that from a long time ago. Gonna put that into my routine.
@@darthhulka-burger3187 man, don't even think about deadlifting ir you have low back pain issues.
First of all if you don't keep a completely perfect form it will put your spine on a compromise.
Two, dead lift reclutes so many muscles that you have to go really heavy for it to be usefel... which at the same time will compromise form execution and will put your discs on risk.
Third, sure you don't have weak lower back muscles. They work literally the whole day.
Just test yourself and touch them whenever you make a step or a little adjusment of your body position.
The only reasons to deadlift is if you wanna be a powerlifter and assume the risks, for any reason you love it and, again, assume the risk or you don't know the risks.
Ego can take you there too, as long as deadlift involves so many muscles than I will be the exercise in which you'll lift heavier and you can keep overloading.
@@naturalspanish1049 Hey, thanks for that insight. I agree, I don't want to overdo it. As for powerlifting, pride of being able to lift huge weights, that's not me.
I just want to get my back healthier,. My routine during the day consists mostly of sitting & working on a computer. So, that's what I want to counteract.
These are epic!! Thank you 👍🏼👍🏼
I didn't know about this, so it's good that you shared with us.
This targets especially the lower chest. The wall helps you to not slide backwards while doing the pushup
They are great but you also can do them without a wall. Nice info video!👊🏾
nice, short and to the point.
I subscribed only because the video was short and straight to the point ...so thank you for that
Yes I like them jawns. They get you them boulder shoulders.

I wonder Mike tyson actually had done push ups like the form. I was looking for his video but couldn't find anything. I mean, I don't doubt it because It looked freaking good for the whole body when I saw videos with the title 'Mike tyson push ups' for the first time. I guess his push ups showed up on TV show recently and people started following it. I really want to watch that Mike tyson does the push ups.

Looks challenging. Ever since I broke my wrist, got older (61) and got arthritis I can barely do a standard pushup let alone these, God I wish I was 40 again, seemed old at the time but now I realise I was still so bloody young 🥺🥺
I will attempt these, if you hear a loud crack that'll be my other wrist giving out
Sorry to hear that man, 61 is not that old. look into wrist wraps and knuckle pushups which put less stress on the wrists.
@@FitBlueprint great idea! I'll do just that, cheers
What you said is small but profound. I should appreciate what I have.
I know what you mean. I'm 61 and still going but its definitely getting harder 😆.I've been using low and high parralets to save my wrists. Works for me.
@@smiletheory75 always. I heard a saying once, 'day by day nothing changes, but when you look back EVERYTHING is different ' Now that IS profound
