These lyrics are so sweet
Mac writes the most transparent, honest, emotionally-packed lyrics of any single artist I know. No layers of analytical complexity or spiritual mysticism (not to say I don't appreciate that, in fact MGMT's lyrics are my favorite out of any artist I've ever heard), just raw, honest emotions expressed so concisely. I love it.

Coincidentally, a few of the best years of my life happened when I discovered Mac DeMarco's music. It just opened my eyes to all these artists and songs that I'd never even known before. It was "My Kind of Woman" that caught me for the first time.
