Hawklet #4 didn't have a significant crop at the end of the feeding compared to the other ones with big full crops. I hope he doesn't fall behind more than he has. Cheering for hawklet #4.
so this was 20/6 at 12:45 pm. the little one (who got killed and eaten later) was not a shy mean little one. he was doing just fine by the law of nature. do not know when he was smaller (maybe just a late bloomer like some of us.) nature picked the wrong one to kill.
The biggest goshawk chick kills the smallest one two days after this was filmed. Then the mom tore him up into small pieces and fed him to the other 3. 😢
The most aggressive chick gets the most food, and the little guy is getting pecked at already, he was in the middle, but a larger chick pecked at him and he ran out. He can't reach as high for food as the others are taller. He's gonna get left out more and more. Last one to hatch, he's just the insurance policy in case one of the others don't make it. How many days separate the chicks hatching out from 1st to 4th?

No, not a future king. He was murdered by the bully 2days after this and then eaten by the mom and 3 chicks. Sad.

I was too but two days later the bully killed him and ate him.
