I use FireStone Indy 500’s 285 35 20 f and 305 35 20 r ! Wit 36 psi all they way around! Sticky af!!!!! And really really nice even in da RAIN! Those Indy 500’s competition tires give me so much confidence hitting corners even. 2014 Camaro Ss!!!
I like the 555r's for street use. I have used them on quite a few cars and they are perfect for their intended use. for the track, the MT Drag radial hooks a little better but the tradeoff is lower total expected tread life and worse wet weather performance. great video!
I got 15-18k out of mine on my 98 Z28. I went thru 6 pairs of them. They were my daily driven tires. I kept them on because I never knew when I would have people try to play with my. Mine was a sleeper with a 200 shot. I did rub mine around 25 psi, but those were also 275/45/17. A lot more side wall. As far as hook, I hooked out the hole with a 200 shot and that car was a 11.3ish time car in the 1/4. Street or strip, didn't matter.
James Wills Lots of guys mod already fast cars in a straight line to corner better. What's the difference with putting DRs on a track ready car? I'd rather have a set of wheels with DRs for the drag strip and the next day swap to stock wheels and go to an auto-racing event. Haters are always gonna hate.
Thank you RP for up loading a new video my birthday, making my day even better. Haha much love RP from Cali I stay seeing all your videos representing Houston right bro keep up the good work.
Im considering Drag Radials on an extra set of rear rims so I can hook up better at our local 1/8 mile race. I took a set of Michelin Pilots to the race on Saturday and spun all thru 1st at half throttle and part of the way thru 2nd. It was like there was snow on the track. Small town airport shut down. Thanks for the review.
gixxerjunky but no tread life not durable no wet weather traction overall it's a cheap tire that works I guess but spend more money and get a tire that will last and perform better
You'll accelerate slightly slower with larger (in diameter) rims and/or tires; but you are correct with the fact you will cover more ground and will actually be moving at a greater speed than your speedometer reads
Why should he accelerate slower?! Bigger diameter = bigger scope. If the engine does 3000 rpms the wheel does a little more distance per revolution then the stock wheels so he accelerates faster
McFlegmato larger diameter tire is like reducing rear diff gear ratio. You will increase top speed potential but reduce acceleration and rpm. Ways to increase acceleration is run more gear(numerically higher) or to a lesser degree, run a smaller diameter slick or drag radial.
I had the original BF Goodrich Drag T/A when drag radials were first introduced in the 90's. I have been looking at these so thanks for the review. I currently have the normal NT555's and my car just blows them up.
I really hate how you put a disclaimer after every sentence. We know it's your opinion and just gives us that . And yes people are still going to talk shit disclaimer or not
You better check to make sure you're not rubbing the inner fender with the 35 tall tire. Pretty much everyone who has a 6th gen with a 305/35/20 tire on the back has been rubbing and making a hole in the inner fender.
Riley im 715 wheel on 93 pump gas and 830 with 110 race fuel with these be sufficient? I've got Tri 5 G2s now only 3 months old I spin in 3rd @ 60 with pedal floored that shit sucks
I am wondering whether you can still take corner normally with them? I want a set of drag radial for my EVO. But some says it can be unstable even just changing lane on the highway,
Gunmetal Speedster one is a street tire (NT555) other one is a Drag radial (NT555R) different rubber compound and tread design. Also the NT555R has a reinforced sidewalk with steel wires for a stiff sidewall
Anthony Santamarina I've daily driven nitto and Toyo drag radials on a heads/cam vette. In heavy rain you really have to be extra cautious otherwise they are a great alternative to a regular street tire on a high hp car.
I remember I have Mickey Thompson’s 275/17s drag radials and I was going like 60 on the fwy it was kinda raining and I spun out from the right side of the fwy all the way to the left ... I did like 4 or 5 donuts 🥶 fuck that never again I’m lucky the fwy was empty cuz if it wasn’t I probably would’ve crashed into somebody .. y’all be careful in the rain
RP Productions actually 275 would be just fine since that is factory... but upgraded would be 285/295 for ideal fitment on the 11" wheel..... yes you went larger which works but technically wasn't necessary that's all I was saying. I'm sure it looks better and all
Idk what world you living in but 305 drag radials is not over kill. Especially that tire. nto5r would be overkill for what HE is doing. My friend has a intake/exhaust 5.0 with drag radials drags everyone’s ass at meets and races. Overkill? No it’s a drag radials because he drag races(illegally and legally). I have a cj5.0 and my 275/40/18 nt555 g2 don’t hook at all for me. So 305 would be overkill since I make as much hp as a modded SS? If so then please mr tire expert recommend me a tire that’s not a drag radials but will allow me to hook from a 40 roll and a 20 roll(probably impossible without a drag radial) because these nt555 g2(summer performance tire) are not working
Keion Rajcoomar nt555 has a lot more grooves so it's like the junior version of the nt05. Nt05 is great for the track and the nt05r is great for the drag strip.
How are your lights grey? Where can I buy those? I'd really like that on my 1 LE. Also have you had any warranty issues? I'm at 3,100 miles and have already had to take it in TWICE. Have had the car for less than 2 months. Already been in their shop for 20 cumulative days(not consecutive)
declaratedvet I was having a hard shift from neutral to reverse and it was because of factory residue apparently. Car was in for 2 and a half weeks. After I finally got it back just a couple of days later the AC went out... Got it may 13th and has already spent 20 days in their service department. I did buy it used with 1700 miles on it. I'm actually kinda afraid to spend any money on its cosmetics because it could turn out to be a lemon. But what am I supposed to do? Wait 18 months?
Different amount of rubber contacting the ground, the car doesn't calculate the difference in diameter for you because it's out of spec for what the car was designed to be ran on diameterr-wise
Think of it like this. For every turn of the engine, the wheels of the car will turn a certain amount in degrees. If the circumference of the tire is larger, the same amount of turn in degrees, equates to more forward movement. The speed readout you see is calculated by the turn of the engine, not by how fast you are actually going. I hope that helps, I'm not the best at explaining stuff.
soft sidewall, soft tread blocks. They're drag radials, they're made to run at an extremely low pressure under racing conditions and daily driving is still lower than street tires. Chris Traudt does the rear of your car get light and floaty above 110mph when running 13-16psi? I have a 18x315 Toyo tq drag radial(similar to nitto dr) on my heads/cam c6 vette. My car felt real floaty at 16#. How are your 60ft's?
jeff grabowski well, yes but you have to remember in my case that 6+ inches of sidewall and soft suspension will feel floaty at street pressure going 75..
Efren calvario yes but heavier rain or standing water is not too fun. I've run nitto and Toyo drags the past 5 years, I do work from home so don't have a daily commute. I've been caught in heavy torrential downpours for 30+ miles and you really have to exercise caution under those circumstances.
your 305 30 20r have no side wall. on your 20" rim..and your sec width is not part of your foot print put some air back in your tires sparky..lmao and move up to a 325 50...
You don’t seem to know very much about tire design. Drag radials aren’t dangerous in the rain because they are slippery it’s because they are prone to hydroplaning due to a very thin tread depth. You made it seem like they are very safe as long as you lay off the throttle in wet conditions. That goes without saying when driving a muscle car regardless of the tire. Where a tire like the Nitto 555R bevomes dangerous is hitting standing water at high speed. The tread depth is very thin and can’t displace so it tends to float above the water and break contact with the road. I thought your video on the 555g2 also illustrated your lack of knowledge on tire design. Those tires are not like the 555R in improving 60ft times and 0-60 times.
I will forever hate the 555R's. way too picky, get them too hot and they turn into sponges, don't get them hot enough and they act like a street tire. My best DR has been the Mickey Thompson street ET's
you're driving with the traction control on and said they hook
I use FireStone Indy 500’s
285 35 20 f and 305 35 20 r !
Wit 36 psi all they way around!

Rift33SRT make sure psi is at 22-23 psi cold that way they’ll last a long time 👍🏼
I got 15-18k out of mine on my 98 Z28. I went thru 6 pairs of them. They were my daily driven tires. I kept them on because I never knew when I would have people try to play with my. had these tires on my car 2016 camaro ss ..and have 33k miles on them... good tires.. def worth the money. i would buy them again.
fernando valenzuela Did you drag race much with them? I'm still debating if I want to get these for my spare rear wheels I have in the garage.
33k? What do you drive? a prius?
Sincity LT1 1LE i never drag race on them to be honest.
Youngster543210 obviously u didnt read my comment. i drive a 2016 camaro ss
fernando valenzuela Then you've been driving on bald tires for 20k miles or your lying.
bruh..can never get enough of that whip! That exhaust is on point! 🔥
Is there anything better then a cold start! Nice upload man
I would have to say no.
Winning the lotto would be better but that's just me 😂
gets 1le....puts drag radials on it
James Wills Lots of guys mod already fast cars in a straight line to corner better. What's the difference with putting DRs on a track ready car? Sincity LT1 1LE lol not hating just thought it was alil ironic
James Wills well yeah lol. That is true
Did that
They won't let you on a road course with DRs. I swap to my OEM wheels/tires for road courses. DRs are for street/strip use.
His face is hilarious when he shifts lol
Getting these for my c5 z06
Thank you RP for up loading a new video my birthday, making my day even better. Haha much love RP from Cali I stay seeing all your videos representing Houston right bro keep up the good work.
Ayee happy late birthday fam!
Im considering Drag Radials on an extra set of rear rims so I can hook up better at our local 1/8 mile race. Thanks for the review.
What about the Atturo tires you had on the Scat? Would you buy them again?
gixxerjunky no they suck
declaratedvet they seem to get good reviews but it's hard to believe from such a cheap tire. He said he really liked them on the Scat.
gixxerjunky but no tread life not durable no wet weather traction overall it's a cheap tire that works I guess but spend more money and get a tire that will last and perform better
I'd 100% recommend them for any Charger or Challenger! Not sure how they'd do on this car! Tread life and wet traction was fine for me!
Nittos or Atturos for my 392? I see you found them both to perform well, but if you had to choose one....?
You'll accelerate slightly slower with larger (in diameter) rims and/or tires; but you are correct with the fact you will cover more ground and will actually be moving at a greater speed than your speedometer reads

Any dash lights afterward installing the 305/35/20s?
(Speed sensors not matching speeds from back to front)
I had the original BF Goodrich Drag T/A when drag radials were first introduced in the 90's. I have been looking at these so thanks for the review. I currently have the normal NT555's and my car just blows them up.
You should let Frank bang it off the rev limiter in first gear. I would like to see that and a video of you reviewing his car.
I just got these tires for my 1LE, and I'm liking them so far
I run them on my new edge mustang and love em
Something about those tailights 😍
Plz reply did you have rubbing issue and are you running spacers
I was running these tires 20yrs. ago . 555RII . Same compound but stiffer side wall road course , auto x
I really hate how you put a disclaimer after every sentence. We know it's your opinion and just gives us that . And yes people are still going to talk shit disclaimer or not
R&R so you are talking shit
You better check to make sure you're not rubbing the inner fender with the 35 tall tire. Pretty much everyone who has a 6th gen with a 305/35/20 tire on the back has been rubbing and making a hole in the inner fender.
I've checked and mine are fine! I suppose it depends on your offset/backspacing of your wheels but I've only heard of the rubbing issue with 315's.
Riley im 715 wheel on 93 pump gas and 830 with 110 race fuel with these be sufficient? I've got Tri 5 G2s now only 3 months old I spin in 3rd @ 60 with pedal floored that shit sucks
I have these on my 6th gen and they are GREAT.
I am wondering whether you can still take corner normally with them? I want a set of drag radial for my EVO. But some says it can be unstable even just changing lane on the highway,
I daily a 650whp gt500 on 555rs. I’ve never felt unstable when switching lanes but they are not great for cornering
Hey Riley I know u don’t have the maro no more but do you think this set up would fit my 2016 Camaro SS I have the stock Goodyear 275’s
Drag radials on a 1LE......drag radials on a 1LE........
This guy gets it.
Great video. What tires do you have up front?
Hey rp when u hit hifh speeds like 120+ does ur car shake
Hey Riley, I see you have the G2's up front. What is the difference between NT555R and NT555 G2?
Gunmetal Speedster one is a street tire (NT555) other one is a Drag radial (NT555R) different rubber compound and tread design. Also the NT555R has a reinforced sidewalk with steel wires for a stiff sidewall
Thank you for your reply! But isn't there a NT555 and a NT555 G2? Do you know the difference between those?
Gunmetal Speedster I do not, I've heard good things about the Nt555G2 on mustangs but that's about it
You didn’t have any issue with rear tires rubbing the fender well any ?
On lethal page he said the 35s will rub on a harness .did you have issues with this ?
your hair reminds me of the dude on the fifth element.
itsKlick Lol, very true.
Hey Riley,
What you think about putting these on charger 392 or hellcat
Would be a great upgrade for either car!
RP Productions awesome I live in Oregon so we get some descent amount of rainfall each winter
Anthony Santamarina I've daily driven nitto and Toyo drag radials on a heads/cam vette. In heavy rain you really have to be extra cautious otherwise they are a great alternative to a regular street tire on a high hp car.
My favorite color that color is so awesome..i ended up with the gray kinds like Eleanor.
Ahhh damn that sounds sweet. What exhaust system do you have and do you still have the cats on?
Brian c Mbrp axle back and stock otherwise if I remember correctly
MBRP Axle back, secondary cat delete, & still have the primary cats on the car!
Can these be put on a c10 1500 gmc with 15 inch rims does anyone know
What kind of 60 foot did you see at the strip with these?
21 or 23 psi. Wow I think I would be nervous to ride like that but I have a heavy truck so I guess it's different lol.
How did you get the 1LE badge so straight? ?
What kind of lights are those on your headlights?
Same tire I got. Love it.
Do you have any issues with rubbing at all
I ordered 2022 camaro 2ss (none 1le) and im planning to put aftermarket rims and tires like same size as your camaro,do you think it will fit?
Go get 1LE rims and get the tires in this vid.
What did you pair them with in the fronts?
Love this color. Been looking for one just like this.
Awesome color.
Hey! I've got these on my BMW and it still spins...
Is your car dropped? If so, what are the suspension details?
Will 285/35/20 G2 fit on front 2016 SS?
How long did they last
I remember I have Mickey Thompson’s 275/17s drag radials and I was going like 60 on the fwy it was kinda raining and I spun out from the right side of the fwy all the way to the left ... I did like 4 or 5 donuts 🥶 fuck that never again I’m lucky the fwy was empty cuz if it wasn’t I probably would’ve crashed into somebody .. y’all be careful in the rain
305 drag radial is overkill on a very lightly modded camaro like yours....
You're correct, 305 is indeed overkill but the wheels are 11 inches wide so a 305 is needed for proper tire fitment.
RP Productions actually 275 would be just fine since that is factory... but upgraded would be 285/295 for ideal fitment on the 11" wheel..... yes you went larger which works but technically wasn't necessary that's all I was saying. I'm sure it looks better and all

@@declaratedvet no sir , 305 is the factory size on the 11" wheels , 275 on the 9" wheels on the non 1/le models
hey are these more or less track focused NTO5 vs NT555 ?
Keion Rajcoomar nt555 has a lot more grooves so it's like the junior version of the nt05. Nt05 is great for the track and the nt05r is great for the drag strip.
Kam Fam I am now learning and I want to do something nice to my car. so the Invo is just a regular street tire?
Keion Rajcoomar yea just your basic street tire. Good for daily driving. Will hook with 500hp tood
Tops*
Are those on stock rims?
How are your lights grey? Where can I buy those? I'd really like that on my 1 LE. Also have you had any warranty issues? I'm at 3,100 miles and have already had to take it in TWICE. Have had the car for less than 2 months. Already been in their shop for 20 cumulative days(not consecutive)
Arsenticx21 that's a GM performance part. You buy it at your dealership or online. Does not effect warranty
Hey thanks for letting me know it was a GM part. Since my car has been having issues they gave me them at half price!!
Arsenticx21 what was wrong with your car??
declaratedvet I was having a hard shift from neutral to reverse and it was because of factory residue apparently. Car was in for 2 and a half weeks. After I finally got it back just a couple of days later the AC went out... Got it may 13th and has already spent 20 days in their service department. I did buy it used with 1700 miles on it. Arsenticx21 it's still under warranty so you are good. I wouldn't be afraid it's practically brand new right?!
what do have on the front?
On a different subject have you installed a catch can ??
Oh I'd like to see you race your friend with the ss the big guy don't know his name lol
I have not!
It's in this video: ruclips.net/video/R3KPeSojPkE/видео.html
Skip to about 7:30 in it
RP Productions thanks bro !!
wow That start up tho. Your Camaro sounds amazing!
I was actually just looking into getting these so this is convenient
Love the review I literally just ordered some and was like fuck can I drive them in the rain and then seen this so thanks lol
Just wished they made them in a 285/35/20
can someone explain to me why getting a different diameter than oem affects the mph like why can't it read it 100% accurate
Different amount of rubber contacting the ground, the car doesn't calculate the difference in diameter for you because it's out of spec for what the car was designed to be ran on diameterr-wise
Verge Reflex that's not entirely true.
Jesus Garcia a different diameter tire is changing the overall effective gear ratio the computer sees.
Silver Stang could be that too! I'm sure it depends on the car.
Why the 555g2 on the front? Why not 555r all around?
You don't need a drag radial on the front lol
Why do you have the psi low?
soft sidewall, soft tread blocks. They're drag radials, they're made to run at an extremely low pressure under racing conditions and daily driving is still lower than street tires. Other wise, uneven tire wear occurs. from my experience, on my 325/50r15 nt555r's, 13 to 16 psi is good for the track based on conditions and 18 psi for daily driving gets perfectly even wear without the wear being excessive like on 13-16 psi
Chris Traudt oh. Never heard of this before. Thanks for the info
Chris Traudt does the rear of your car get light and floaty above 110mph when running 13-16psi? I have a 18x315 Toyo tq drag radial(similar to nitto dr) on my heads/cam c6 vette. My car felt real floaty at 16#. How are your 60ft's?
jeff grabowski well, yes but you have to remember in my case that 6+ inches of sidewall and soft suspension will feel floaty at street pressure going 75..
jeff grabowski 60' right now is bad, just got them on. haven't gone 10 passes with them and have bogged or spun every time
Great video and review!
can these tires be use for daily driving?
Efren calvario yes but heavier rain or standing water is not too fun. I've run nitto and Toyo drags the past 5 years, I do work from home so don't have a daily commute. I've been caught in heavy torrential downpours for 30+ miles and you really have to exercise caution under those circumstances.
Do they fit fine on your 20' rim?
they would because their a 305/35/20 the 20 shows the size rim.
That ford looked good in your driveway ;)
Bought these because of this video, but beware, I was doing 50 in the rain and wiped out driving on a straight road
So how much?
them quad tips lookin g nice
Any reason you only went 30s on front? Would 285/35/20 fit?
cool car bro
Thanks for the review! I have the G2's and they are pretty good as well but definitely not for the drag strip. -Zep
Car looks mean af! 😍
I love it very good
I had no idea wheel size affected the speedometer Holy shit thanks
It also affects the mileage!! lol
yay you didn't say from RP Productions
your 305 30 20r have no side wall. on your 20" rim..and your sec width is not part of your foot print put some air back in your tires sparky..lmao and move up to a 325 50...
Every guy leasing a new model car is a youtuber....NOW...LOL....HAHAHA!!!!
mine is paid off :)
Luis Olguin then you’re not a true youtuber 😎
Great vid
Road course that beast!!!
GOURGEOUS CAR!
Dude in blue!
Nice!
You're speedo is now closer to accurate. Forget all the calculations. and just use a GPS.
one word. Hoosiers
I will forever hate the 555R's. way too picky, get them too hot and they turn into sponges, don't get them hot enough and they act like a street tire. My best DR has been the Mickey Thompson street ET's
NTO5 Nitto
I have the Nitto nt555 an they suck
These tires suck ass.
Best drag radials are the ET Street S/S they're by far more stickier than the NT05R with the the drivability of the NT555R.
I haven't used them but I've heard you get less than 10k miles out of them.
RP Productions you do like 5k on average
the car is completely stock* yet he puts drag radials on it
Yaniel Zamot best mod .tires. spinnin aint winnin
Lol So what?????? That ZL1 puts down 650 hp & 650 torque. He’s still one of the fastest on the street.

Vowwwwwwwww
camaros suck period even if it had 2000 hp its a poor mans vette.cant afford the vette the get the bottom of the barrel chevy the camaro
you drive a honda lmaooo
