I don't believe this performance is too fast. Not at all! I've played it many times, for over 45 years. I am curious, however, about the reed solo. It seems very loud, like a trompette. I think an oboe would be preferable, although I know the St. Clothilde organ had a reed stop very much like this one.

You also have to consider the acoustics - in Notre Dame with 7-8 seconds it would be a different matter 😊Mr Bruun plays in a relatively small church
