These look so healthy and delicious! I can taste them from here :D
Thank you.
Only today I was debating about this and I found the evidence now 😊what's cross buns without coconut.....thank you ❤❤
😀 thats funny because I had a debate about this yrs ago too. I swore up and down real cross buns don't have coconut. Then after I started my RUclips channel I ask the lady that we always order cross buns from back home for her recipe because it was the absolute best. She give me the recipe and told me there ls a secret ingredient that nobody knew she added and it was coconut. My mouth dropped because I remembered having this debate yrs ago. 😀 the key is you have to use the finest side of the grater the coconut should be invisible in the bun so you won't be able to tell its in there, but the taste is different and amazing.
I will be making cross buns for Easter. Thanks sis! 💚
Enjoy hon. You're welcome 😊
Wow looks so delicious girl!
Thank you.
@@candythaglamcook You're so welcome! Please check your email when you get a chance 🙂
Yummy 😋 Great recipe 😊
Thank you. ❤️
Delicious chef
Thank you.
Killing the game!

Hi. I used the 2.5 cups AP flour and 1 cup of canned coconut milk. Mine was a bit sticky still, even after adding more flour and it didn't rise. So, I had to proof it and that didn't work too well. The dough just spread out instead of rising. Was it the canned coconut milk VS fresh that makes a difference?
I'm sorry it didn't work for you, 1st make sure your yeast is good by proofing it, 2nd I used fresh coconut milk and freshly grated coconut it does make a difference. 3rd flour absorbs different depending on the brand so always keep extra flour and liquid on hand incase you need to add more.
Lovely Candy.....must try 😊😋😋🤗
Thank you Jessica ❤️
Definitely trying this one
Good luck, enjoy 😉
Yummy!
🥰
Definitely making 🎉
Aunty Candy thnx for the recipe. But i gah nuff cross in mi family 😂❤️🇬🇾
🤣🤣 don't put the cross on the buns then. Add a peace sign instead. ✌🏾
Beautiful 10/10
Thank you
Did u use fresh or canned coconut milk?
Fresh dear. I grated half of a medium size coconut and blended the other half for the milk.
Yes, yes, yes👏👏👏
I’m about to make this right now …if it’s not good…you have to make 2 batch for me 😅 Deal?!
😀😀
Just made this, it’s a beautiful bun but I had to use 3.5c AP flour. Not sure if the 2.5c listed is a typo.
I did use 2 .5 cups of flour but some brands of flour absorb different, so always keep extra flour and liquid on hand incase you need it.
@@candythaglamcook I should add also I made my coconut milk by blending the coconut, that would act different than a cup of canned coconut milk.
@@roxanne4657 I also blended mine.
Looks so yummy 😋
Thank you. ❤️
Thank you. Advanced Easter greetings
You're welcome
Happy Easter hun
Happy Easter darling.
Thank you
Can i leave the coconut out
Absolutely. I also have another recipe without it. You can follow that one or just leave it out of this recipe.
Beautiful 😍 cross buns
Thank you.
Thank You Csndy.
You're welcome 😊
Can I omit the egg?
Absolutely
Can i leave it plain without the flour cross on top
Absolutely do it the way you prefer.
@@candythaglamcook thanks i just did just waiting to put in the oven
@@nadiajoseph4678 wow you didn't waste any time 😀
@@candythaglamcook oh no thank u for new recipes im.learnimg everyday

👍👍
Pls help. Idk how you kneed the dough after mixing without using a lot of flour. I used about half a cup to a cup more just to kneed it to the consistency you had in the video. It was sticking all over my hands and counter top without doing so!
Add alittle more flour but not too much use some oil to prevent the sticking.

Thank you ❤️
Hot coconut buns look amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you. ❤️
Mine was extremely sticky . I had to add flour . It looked nothing like yours
Yes you had to add flour to form a soft dough. I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way mine did. Try it again using more flour or less milk.
@@candythaglamcook hi Candy , thanks for the reply . Well I’m going bake it now let’s see , it might still work out .
@@zoeblaster fingers crossed 🤞🏾
