@Alex Del Socorro It was released on DVD a bit over a decade ago, it can be tracked down used, and is well worth it. Be sure to rewatch In the Mood for Love first, as it's more or less a sequel, and having seen it first will give so much more meaning to every aspect of 2046, including the title.
After Leslie passed, I continued keeping his number in my cellphone. There was a time I accidentally pressed the number and heard a very familiar voice asking to ‘leave a message’. I left a message saying, ‘Why don’t we start over from the beginning?’ When we filmed Happy Together, that was a line Ho Po Wing often used when speaking to Lai Yiu Fai. -Tony Leung

I saw this line first on letterboxd, a profile named Sugi commented on the documentary buenos aires zero degree (making of happy togheter), there he explains that he doesn't know whose translation it is and can't give credits but it's from "Miss you much leslie" memorial concert in 2013. Researching I saw some interviews with tony in which he quotes this call right after leslie's death but I think the translation makes it difficult, I found this one so beautiful in particular that I decided to share

I recently embarked on a Wong Kar Wai movie journey. Words can't explain the way I'm addicted. Every movie feels like a dream that I found myself in, time doesn't exist and the ambience is sparking with emotion. Can't pick a favourite.

wong kar wai is a genius, he learns from the french new wave cinema and creates his own genre. I think he is the best director of all time in capturing human loneliness with films.
I love both Leslie and Tony 💕. Also watched the movie, sad ending but loved it. I miss Leslie so much. He was beautiful and brilliant.

@@TheBeautyOf I love every movie by Wong Kar Wai, but I'll go for In The Mood For Love: pure cinema. The corridor glance scene is one of the best sequences I've ever seen in a movie.

So glad you used the 2010 version of Happy Together, so brash, lush, its saturation is so emotion filled. My favorite movie.
The 2021 version is a lot colder on the tones, although it's sharpness is outstanding. Anyways... Beautiful work

@@olivercullen6869 It's the same movie, there are just a few scenes/monologues that were deleted by the director on the newest re-release by Criterion. Imo, the 2010 Kino version is the one to go for.
