Thank you!! Finally got batocera working on my elitedesk 800 g2. It would have been a headache trying the other method of converting the hdd in order to get it to boot.

NM I figured out that you need to hit F10 instead of F12

Yeah f10 to get into the bios setting, then it will restart and ask for the code automatically.

No, simply because MBR booting works only on MBR partioned disk & GPT works only on UEFI Secure Boot. Both don't work vice versa! If you do as you wrote, your system will be unbootable!

I have the same pc and bios, but it won't save my settings. I'm trying to change the boot order to run Botocera on a usb drive which is linux based on bootup but the bios won't save. Do I need to logon as a bios administrator in order to do this?
