Really love your format - its like the best mix of a journal, vlog and documentary. Its not draggy, everything feels like where and when it needs to be. I keep looking forward to your next release since Kyushu is where i wanted to be next April, or least a place where I seriously consider as my next loc in Japan.
Excellent as always! I love your philosophy on exploring the city yourself instead of holding close to wornout tourist routes. I'm excited for episode 3!
2850 yen satisfaction course and Will is still hungry 😸. Skip the Combini for Breakfast. Japan has thousands of brilliant Bakerys. Most open at 10 am, perfect if you sleep in.
I have fond memories of going to Fukuoka on visa runs from South Korea. I did nearly the exact same itinerary as you, only I took the subway down to the university instead. Fukuoka was my first time visiting Japan, and I'll never forget the same feeling you experienced. Nostalgic, quiet, laid back feel that makes me want to visit again. Keep up the great work. Your presentation, audio, editing, and everything is top notch.
Yeah, Kyushu was nothing but surprises. The citiescape themselves aren't particularly noteworthy but the atmosphere was something that makes me want to go back to.
Watching your videos makes me miss japan a little bit less. ❤ Can't wait to get back and explore, wandering around giving yourself time to be surprised is the best way to travel.
Jesus your videos are top notch omg. BUT I have a feeling that i would need a glimpse at your itineraries. We are planing to look into Kyushu and this is golden inspiration, i do not like checklisting vacations, but also I want to plan my time most efficiently.
We just spent 3.5 weeks in Japan and 4 of those days were in Fukuoka, we wish we had spent way more time there and in Kyushu in general. Awesome vibes and food. All the stuff that you'd find in Osaka and Kyoto without the huge crowds.
i love your comparison of japan to open world games lol, i always describe trips to japan to my friends as being like playing breath of the wild -- you might have a destination in mind on a certain day, but you're going to be distracted by a million things on the way there, because everything is interesting! it's why i now try to leave a lot of empty space when i plan trips there now... gotta allow time to get lost and wander a little
My guy, I love your guides! I'm surprised that you went with no plans this time! Reminds me of my first trip to Japan when I didn't have an itinerary ('cause it was primarily an academic trip). It was fun just strolling around the city and seeing interesting things. I want to try scrolling around ricefields like you did! Keep the videos goin'!
You don't have an idea how much info i just gathered for my next trip by watching your video. So grateful for that!!! Somehow, i think that i might grasp the feel of Fukuoka. Here in my country i live like half and hour away from the capital city, so yeah, my small coast town eventhough is not backwards at all, it's not like super busy all the time and i just love it for that. Thank you again for this video Will! Cheers from Chile! :D p.s. yeah ... as a tourist i think we all have this call for an adventure, when you don't know if you are going to take the right ride and you just say "yeah...nah...f*ck it, we ball" and there we go xD
Will! Another winner, and another reason for more Subs! There is something truly special and very endearing about your certain style, we all Love it! So happy that I stumbled across your channel, lo those many moons ago... Just don't let all the c😄mpliments from all of us go to your head though.
If I'm in a new city and have a few hours to spare, I always take a walk around town. The route is always completely random, I just make sure I can get back when I need to and not take the same route twice.
One of the best way to do the exploration and having a journey rememberable forever

Fukuoka was the party spot out of Sasebo. Kinda miss this city.
Why do I feel like we would be such good friends 😭
Where's the next episode?
