Hey Dave, great video. It was informative, and you definitely reminded me of some chores I need to take care of this weekend. Also, thanks for the shout-out. I'm looking forward to doing a collab soon!
🌻 Put a small amount of moss around the exposed soil roots of that top cutting. That will help keep them moist as they work their way back into the soil.
Thank you for posting this! I had plans to cut my Splendid today. It’s on the same pole as yours and has reached the top of my humidity bin. Didn’t even know where to start 😅 so this was very helpful! 🙌
Thank you!!! Good to know I'm not alone with this sheet moss pole situation. Maybe next time, I'll just air layer the top that has grown beyond the pole. But my top cut is doing great so far.
Savage beauty, blood sisters, far from home, Queen of the south, Kaleidoscope, and blood and water. These are good (in my opinion) Netflix shows I've watched.
More plant chore videos! I love listening to them while I do some plant chores myself!🥰 I just stumbled across Bridgerton, and honestly, it's not that bad. I'm not into watching shows in that time period, but it's kinda interesting😆. Also, I've been binging All American, which is good too. Both of these shows are on Netflix, btw!
I will try n save more plant chores for filming. I was into All American for a while since I had friends appear in it. Someone suggested Sandman on Netflix and I’m hooked! It’s right up my alley.
Thanks for your precious time. You have helped me make some decisions on purchasing the plastic moss pole. I'm expecting a top , large Gloriosom Large Leaf Philo cutting. next week.
Watching this made me very 😬 have you not watched chop and extend method that Sydney Plant Guy does you will get bigger and quicker growth if sizing up is what your after. Unless of course your chopping up to sell 🤔. 💚💚
This is not a steel wired moss pole. So I will not just cut the pole into two like he does. Sorry it made you "show your teeth" but its ok to see other methods.
Hi David. I was wondering when you grow in water do you add nutrients and if so how often. Also same question with your moss poles do you water them with nutrients. Great video.
Hey, I do add nutrients to the water once a month but I only let it sit in there for a few days then change to fresh water. The nutrients deplete the oxygen in the water much faster. I also use nutrient water for moss poles every time.
It will be fun to watch your monstera L get mature leaves. Is potting media and pots going sky high in California? Hoping the inflation levels off soon. What is the name of your etsy shop?
Hey thanks, yeah I'll keep you updated on the Monstera. I haven't purchased pots lately, since I use re-used plastic. Potting media seems to be normal price still. My Etsy shop is (Aroid District) there is a link in my channel banner as well.
I definitely watch both of them, I just do my own thing for the type of moss poles I use...thats what this video is all about. Soul is happy now that he gets a warmer day to be outside.
IMO you cut that first cut awfully close too the node, hope there’s no issues. The Variegated Monstera is really pretty, can’t wait to see it get big. 💚
You're right, I noticed that when editing. I'm not worried at all tho. its two different nodes in pot plus whatever connects to pole later on. I'll keep up with updates for the Monstera.
I know exactly what you talkin about with the var adonsonii I’m not a fan of it for the same reason..too holey to be variegated what are we variegating I’m a stalker in Netflix is wild and Abbott elementary on Hulu mad funny.
Hello Dave from Puerto Rico!!! Wow, that was a toughy. Some other moss poles are a little easier…🪴🪴🪴 Do you like the moss and bark mix in the pole better than just moss?
Yeah it sure was. I like a regular tree branch or wood stick for a pole better. The moss and Coco Chunk mix is much better. I think roots like it better as well.

Foresure! Thanks for giving us good content to watch.
Thank you for the straightforward and informative video Sir. ✌️👏🏼👏🏼
I think youre actually really good with your words bro!

Thank you! Thats a great idea.
You mentioned that you aren’t that great with your words…you actually ARE great with your words. We appreciate you✨
Thank you, I appreciate your support!

Thank you! You have a blessed day as well.

Nice! I will def be looking those shows up.

I love the idea of growing plants in water; I have a few. Thanks for sharing!
Oh nice! Thanks for watching and feel free to provide tips for growing in water as I continue.
Nice video Dave, nice music🎶. Your Mom is a RUclips celebrity again 😊
Thank you! I need to film with her again, if she isn't uneasy about the camera.
Thanks for your precious time. You have helped me make some decisions on purchasing the plastic moss pole. I'm expecting a top , large Gloriosom Large Leaf Philo cutting. next week.
You're welcome. Its a good thing to give those type of poles a try. I can truly say it grows climbing plants up very quick.

I have those moss poles you use. You can roll up the short way and place them in a short box or a padded envelope. Do you have them for sale yet?
I sold a good number of them. I still have some left in my garage, I may post more on my Etsy shop soon.

I've heard that for this to be successful (transplanting a top-cut) you need to air layer first. how did your experience go?
It’s already air layered with the roots going inside the pole. The Splendid in my more recent videos is the successful top-cut.
It looks like you posted this three months ago! How did the plant turn out? The mother plant and the top cut do?
Yes, the top cut and all the propagations doing well. You can see the top cut on my video titled “Rare Plants Under 50$”
@@AroidDistrict got it. excellent ty
Why didn't you just extended the pole? It's still a small pole, these can stand still at 5ft
Lol, I chopped the plant to keep the top cut and offer the rest on my plant shop.
Every time I come on this damn channel I feel like I need to get more plants 😅. Sh*t!
Well, if you get anymore...you might as well add them to ThePlantMerch.com too LOL.
@@AroidDistrict right! Something gotta fund this lifestyle 😂.

I'm just now seeing that Amazon has cheaper prices for Pots and media. Maybe because its winter. But yeah inflation is crazy otherwise out here.
Thanks. I'll check out your shop and The Planted Eye channel.
Lol mom should give more respect to the district
LOL! That “mom” voice was actually from a viral tik tok video.
Who needs Netflix when you have Aroid District?! ❤ Check out sandman if you haven’t watched it!
wow thank you! Looking that up now.
So I'm hooked on Sandman already! lol
Hi,if you want large leaf plants I have two channels you should watch, leca queen and Sydney plant guy. Say hello to Soul.
I definitely watch both of them, I just do my own thing for the type of moss poles I use...thats what this video is all about. Soul is happy now that he gets a warmer day to be outside.
