Racism is so real its one the most painful thing in this world. As a black revert woman it pains me that wit this beautiful religion ppl still do it. Even as our Prophet(saw) made it a point to address it ppl still do it. I studied my degree in Cape town South Africa. My love for Islam started there people there r wonderful. The racial diversity within Muslim community is so big.
To make long story short I revert years later. In a new place after meeting a wonderful Arab men.

We certainly can! We just have to take care of these people both online and in real life. We have to teach Muslims that everyone are on their own journey, being haram police everytime is not okay. There's time and wisdom. The way they are preaching Islam is going to backfire. We have to be considerate and kind like our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him.)

I am Arab, Muslim, living in an Arab Muslim country, and I feel the same.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.

"No Arab has any superiority over a non-Arab & vice-versa and nor a White has any superiority over a Black & vice-versa" the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon him). The Islamic state of Medina strictly forbade any sort of racism which is now rampant among Muslims because Muslims are far away from even the basic tenants of Islam. Hazrat Bilal (May Allah Subhananahuwatala be pleased with him), a Black convert, was called ya Syedy by the Caliphs, Usama Bin Zayed (May Allah Subhananahuwatala be pleased with him) was one of the first generals of African descent in Rashidun military. But now we hear this sort of toxic racism which Dr. William is referring to, the nationalistic, race based undertones which classifies predominantly White Anglo-Saxon converts as desirable Muslims but reject Black & Slavic Poles as undesirable. While this might be a distant reality, I have heard from an Indian that there are many caste based classifications among Indian Muslims as well, which I haven't heard of elsewhere, directly inspired from the Hindu caste based system. If things go down the road in this fashion & no one stop this madness to include everyone, I fear that Islam in Europe will be divided on communal lines just as Orthodox Christianity is.

Over the last century, the world in general has moved away from meta 'cultures' such as religion and nationalism, to a plethora of 'subcultures.' Technological advance has brought about a new paradigm where consumer identity is everything. Social media has put this whole thing on steroids.
Islam is a practice of drawing closer to God. Most people 'joining' a club for community will be disappointed. To satiate their thirst they will bury themselves in In-Group / Out-Group polemics, to allow themselves to feel a part of something. That is what is happening in the political sphere, as much for the tag 'Muslim' as the tag 'British'. Everyone feels alienated from each other, a sense of loss, and yearns for a sense of being part of the whole. But that is the human experience, the veils are merely being shed.
Better to make it just you and Allah. You are not owed anything. Walk free on the earth.
As an aside I think we have less than ten years before AI renders social media meaningless, and we cannot seperate fact from fiction. Most newspaper articles are already written by AI. Shortly academic papers will follow. It will affect what's left of academia and uproot the last of culture. Only the market will remain. Then we will have a new paradigm; identity will matter less. Deeds are counted. Hold tight.

I remember when this popped off a few years ago.
The man's issue was that he felt there weren't enough Black people in leadership positions in UK mosques, it later evolved into not feeling welcome, as a black person.
Now mosques and Churches, for that matter, in the UK at least, have administrations dominated by the people who founded said mosques/churches and the demographics of the area.
It is interesting, that the man's issues coincided with the Me too/times up movements.
Make of that what you will.

I am not surprised. Most people don't even know the true teachings of Islam and what is more important in life. Humans are fallible and they are sceptical of what is different. Also could be that some fear a devout revert is more righteous than them, exposing their shortcomings. The important thing is that Allah is one, and people follow the teachings of the faith to please Allah and not Abd Allah as we say. Even though this VIDEO is fiction the content on which it is BASED ON is *NOT FICTION*
Right now i can recall one clip from a more recent(ish) memory that was shared on the platform (starts with F) where guy ws extremely rude and humiliatingly told to leave the masjid. The guy was white with a lot of tattoos. The "uncle" probably the caretaker of masjid or mosque committee seemed to be above the age of 60 maybe nearing 70s, of South Asian descent, his clothes were such. The whole thing was quite heated but it seemed that when the victim started recording no physical altercation took place. *May have* taken place before the start of recording but not during. You didnt have to see the victim's face but you coild hear it in his voice how disgusted he was to have been treated in such a manner.
These "old dudes" really should be barred from being on committees when they create far more issues than solutions.

Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done."
Jesus predicted his own death on the cross. He sacrificed Himself for you. Peter however, did not want to see His Master crucified. That's why he got called Satan. Muhammad in his Qur'an said that Jesus was not crucified, and it only seemed like He got crucified. In the tafsir it says that Allah put someone else that looked exactly like Isa. That is why Muhammad is an Antichrist who was under the influence of Satan. Antichrist is someone who denies the Father and Son. Muhammad denied both.

@@BuffaloPros It's clear that you have neither read Matthew 16:21-24 nor understood it. Jesus called Peter Satan because when Jesus predicted His own death on the cross, Peter protested. He did not want to see His Master suffer. Jesus sacrificed Himself for you on the cross. You're doing a similar thing. You deny and refuse His gift and sacrifice done for you, because you rather follow a false prophet who seduced you with the promise of 72 virgins in jannah. Paul was not fraudulent. He gave up his life for preaching about Jesus and became a martyr for that. Muhammad was fraudulent. All he cared about was three things: 1. money 2. women 3. power.

@@BuffaloPros 1. Speaking of decomposing - your prophet said in a hadith that bodies of prophets do not decompose, yet his body decomposed. He exposed himself
      2. Nowhere in the Bible it says that the sons of Ishamel are Arabs. I can show you a hadith that proves that even in your religion it does not make sense to say that. The hadith says that Ishamel travelled to Arabs with his mother and learned the arabic language from them. How could Ishmael be the first Arab if Arabs existed already?

it’s haram to put these pictures of naked women

This is the world we live in. When Muslims deal drugs and traffic women, they get invited in every single Muslim podcast from 5pillars to Smile to Jannah. And no one comments about this

@@williambarylo I benefited a lot from your advice about not engaging with toxic people in the past. This gentleman is clearly attempting to provoke you my brother. They have been flooding convert spaces and websites with similar comments. They are narcissits who believe they own the religion and they are attempting to police the new commers to regain the power they lost in the middle east. Your work and energy is too valuable to humor these comments. I and others recognize you as a leader in the making. Let's not validate or humor their existence in our space by giving them the attention that they need as fuel🌸🙏.

@@williambarylo these people absolutely are in andrew tate's chokehold. And it's exactly why andrew tate has shifted from nifaq to open kufr akbar because he knows he'll always have an entourage of da'ee yes men around him regardless.
