We have its tree in front of our house in jordan . It tastes sour to sweet depending on how ripened it is.
The exchange about the bread is so much like one that my friend and I might have. The best line "I hope you get poisoned". 🤣🤣🤣
Next time you try loquats, peel it with a knife before eating it. The skin is very acidic, it would taste even better 😋. 5€ for a small bottle of water is just crazy but I think this is the reflection of the electricity and gas bills for the restaurants during the last year.. Also, please consider you had your meal in the most touristic area of Cagliari, local people avoid it 🤪, there's much higher quality and better portion going away from Cagliari center. Another tip for you would be not to listen those that say that Sardinia is not Italy, they have some issues understanding where they live 😅🤣

Water is free in the drinking water fountains. It is delicious and safe to drink.
Sorry for the water man! I live in Cagliari and most I've ever paid for water was 3 euros for a 1liter bottle and I considered that a rip-off, the regular price is 2 euros. Make sure you write a bad review on Google or Tripadvisor, this is not acceptable. If you have it on the receipt you could go back and compare with the price list. A bar in Rome just got a big fine for overcharging a cup of coffee. How long will you stay here?

Actually it occured to me that there may have been a misunderstanding, that is why it would be good to see the receipt. In Italy they always add 2 eur per person of 'coperto' to the bill. Anyway sorry to see you are already leaving! Make sure to visit poetto, and if you are into typical Cagliari street food, make sure you get a 'caddozone' sandwich. A huge sandwich with sausage onion and fries for 4 eur. Concerning archelogical sites, the most unique place is called Necropoli di Tuvixeddu. Ancient Fenician cemetaries excavated from the rocks. The water was a rip off but welcome to eating in a restaurant. 15 euros is not expensive, try Porto Cervo for expensive- you made the point of having lunch and dinner from the supermarket for 20 euro the next day, you expected a restaurant to be just as cheap or something? 😂

I lived in Sardinia. I promise you that when the restaurant saw you were tourists they doubled or tripled the prices…It is a very common practice in Sardinia!
