It was my first time eating them and it was good.
I kepted 1-2 small female rock crabs each trip. They were stuffed with roes.

Nice limit. You even had some nice action in between. I've never had fresh Dungeness Crabs. It's always frozen and reheated. They sell them live at the asian markets over here, but they are expensive. Man you guys are doing it right with longganisa, tocino, and rice on the tailgate. After that, I would have to take a nap first before heading back out 😜
Dungies are good for sure but I also like blue crab. We buy raw frozen blue crab once in a while. That was just a brunch. In the afternoon after fishing was done, we had more food. I needed a food coma afterwards 😂😂

Your videos make me wish I wasn’t at work. Nice easy looking launch. What are some good launch locations to get offshore in this area without having to surf launch?
Rockaway is very good on slow surf days. Linda Mar can be good. HMB is easiest since you are launching inside the harbor. Doran Beach is well protected by the Jetty. In sonoma county, Fort Ross, Timber Cove, Ocean Cove, Stillwater Cove and Gerstle Cove is pretty well protected. In Santa Cruz, you launch inside the harbor. Monterey Bay is pretty good by Monterey Bay Kayaks next to the wharf. I'm pretty sure there are more launch spots that are easy but these are what I'm familiar with.

Yes you are right. Outback would definitely better for crabbing. But, I only crab handful of times a year and Outback is heavy out of the water. I prefer efficiency over space in general. I could have taken out my Topwater but too heavy for wheeling on the beach.

For surf conditions I use magicseaweed dot com then I use magicseaweed dot com, fishweather dot com and noaa dot gov for swell and wind conditions.

This is one of the reason why I love kayak fishing. Unlike fishing out if the boat, kayak fishing is very intimate. You are so close to the water and you become one with the kayak.

I used to make an average of $150.00 a day doing this during the commercial crab season and it's a good way to make extra Xmas money.

Give you a secret: July and auggest is when the commercial fisherman and the pukers are nailing Tuna.
Hit them up and pack as many bait jars as you can with bloodline and chop up the heads to put in your bait cages.
I would pack my freezer because it good bait. You can also hit up the cannaries when they are filleting fish and get thier carcasses....🤘❤🤘
