In G1, Starscream was not a conehead, but now in TF Prime he is a conearse.
i just got this guy, and he is INCREDIBLY AWESOME... the gun thing actually looks quite nice when u pose him in the scene of Operation Bumblebee where he says "One more step... and your precious biomech is scrap!!" looks very nice.

Starscream actually has those dual-wings on his back in the show, a quick Google image search can confirm that.
Unscrewed Screamy's head, pulled out the little rubber headdagger and colored it using a red Sharpie. The color matches really well and hasn't bled a bit so far.
Love the toy overall, I just wish they'd left off his heel bits if they were just going to use the afterburner bits as foot stabilizers anyway.
You look at the show model, Starscream has two sets of wings on his back. The panels from the jet are on the V-Class' back to emulate this.

Got this figure yesterday and its awesome!
That's something I like best about peaugh. He does his best to be as impartial as possible... though I think a little bit of "OMGNEWTOY!" comes out in his reviews. :) Fair and level-headed, though... I actually often enjoy reading the comments on his videos.
If they made a leader class Megatron, it would really justify getting the voyager Starscream.
Clear nail polish should fix your problem. Pop his leg off then apply it to the ball joint and let it dry. It's worked for me, and really, any joint or connection held by friction can be fixed with this.
Got the voyager today and sorry people might be bigger and what not but like this one way way better than FE
He doesn't need the mech tech weapon. He has missiles AND his fingers are melee weapons.

Well, I really think scale between Scream and Megs should not be an issue for me. I often stand Megatron a bit higher on his toes and I plan to hunch Starscream right over ^^ I have also recently acquired a red sharpie so I can make his crest and missiles the correct colour
at 10:00, the cockpit fin things sorta emulate the split tail fin from the show in some angles
No mention of that GORGEOUS head-sculpt? :P
The fe is scout sized in vehicle mode. I'm pretty sure a jet is supposed to be bigger than a car.
The only thing I like about the voyager more than the FE is the eyebrows. But for me the FE is the way to go even in scale, because I seem to remember him not really towering over arcee even (but could be wrong or a camera angle thing).
i love watching your reviews, i normally watch your reviews before I buy a figure. So after seeing the starscream I'm not as sad that I can't afford the over priced FE, this is a fantastic looking figure, I saw it at target and was iffy on getting because of the skywarp look, so I grabbed knockout instead. But after seeing the camera angles of him and the posability i think im gonna grab this dude tomorrow
Starscream is supposed to have those spikey bits sticking up......he has em on his character model
which means that there will have to be a leader bulkhead and a leader optimus. Starscream is smaller than those 3 characters.

Speaking of Starscreams, have you seen the Starscream that comes in the two pack with Bumblebee?
This fig is like Jack Skellington for the transformers.
Edit: I did a quick google search and his animation model does have his elevator fins with his back wings. :D
I can't comment much on Voyager Starscream, but I'd say get Bulkhead. He scales better with the other figures as voyager and Starscream has an awesome deluxe mold which (at least here) is still in stores (first edition). Also, I'm really loving my RID Bulkhead.
I have both versions, got the voyager yesterday for 40% off, lucky lol. Personally I think the deluxe is more show accurate with the back and the legs in robot mode, but the jet modes for the two are the same.
I think that mechteck is kinda cool, like soundwaves gun/satlight

Well, I've looked at the video and I think it may still work for your needs, but without the figure in-hand I can't argue it; you'd know better than I would. I thought I saw a little peg and coating that might be enough. For the 2-3 bucks a bottle of nail polish costs, it may be worth checking out. I hope you can fix it, no matter what, though. Loose joints bother me, too. :)

I don't mind MechTech since I can usually just ignore the chunky weapon. It DOES piss me off when they include some dumb light up gimmick and screw over the figure with clear pieces to make the MechTech work.

Two things I wish Hasbro would fix...
1: Visible robot heads underneath in vehicle mode. :(
2: FAKE COCKPIT/WINDOWS in robot mode. -:(

hey guys, the deluxe version MAY seem better to some, but just to put it out there, if you want the deluxe one from amazon, you are staring at a price of 40 dollars. 3 times the original shelf price. better to get this one considering the similarity and gimmicks.

@peaugh fyi the "flares" are canards, or well.... idk what u would call those spikes. not really big enough to be fins. eh oh well:D
Man... There Powerizers just aren't doing it for me. I MIGHT get Megatron later down the line, but I'll stick with my FE for this guy.
Maybe Voyager Starscream will be nice if ever there will be a Prime Leader Megatron as well.
I can recommend the First Edition (Deluxe) Class to you. It is an awesome looking figure, very show accurate :D The Voyager Starscream is okay, but, for me, The FE Version is the best ;)

Hmm...I still like the FE Version more personally, but the Chest Gimmick of the Voyager is pretty cool...

I'm curious, didn't his show animation model have two sets of wings on his back? His large wings and two side elevator fings? Maybe that's what the back spikes are for, they make it look like his elevator fins.

Just remove the torsion spring in the mechtech weapon if you want to keep it extended...

The thing that gets me is the guy's rudeness to people. It's just incredible to me. He has no tolerance for anyone he deems as less intelligent than himself, and he literally tells viewers to s--- themselves if they say something he doesn't like.
Thank goodness that on the net we are spoilt for choice, and people like Peaugh provide a more pleasant altenative.

Ok... I think the deluxe (especially the Takara version) might be the ever so slightly better toy... but the voyager does a few thing s better. His shoulders and head sculpt are better... also the single missile it sooo much better. I also like how it deals with the cockpit slightly better and his overall form in bot mode. Hate the legs and the way they look in alt mode. Colors are better on FE as well along with where his thruster ends up.
Wow, the weapon doesn't even do it's gimmick very well (and they were already too cheap to bother making it lock) It's like they know it was a horrible idea, but they're toughing it out anyway.

I think i prefer the 1st Ed better cause it looks more screen accurate vs the voyager. I just wish they could take the shoulders and missile of the voyager and move it to the 1st. Like also I prefer the 1st ed Vehicon then the bigger version it looks more accurate.
why would Megatron and Starscream scale together if they are both voyager toys? These things are broken down into classes based on size and complexity, not characters size in relation to how they appear in media. Wouldn't it be disappointing if the "voyager" toy was the same size or just slightly bigger then the deluxe? It would be a rip off... what we need now is a leader Megatron/Optimus to scale better.

i don't have a prime starscream yet. I'm still not sure which one to get. so, which one is better? i like the look of both of them, but I'm still not sure yet.

i like the tf prime toys the problem i have with them is! the 1st edition are very acurate the line after that are crap! to get the arcee i want aka with twin blades i gotta buy 2 f them just to get the 2 blades! or i pay £31 to buy the 1st ed arcee but the 1st edition i never saw in the UK
FE one is better but this RID one is not bad figure. Not at all. In fact its rather nice figure to those that didn't have chance to get FE one.
im considering getting this one but i might get deluxe if i can get my hands on one.. much better in robot mode.. possibly get both :D i dont know

Got mine two days ago and it's awesome! The only thing that really gets on my nerves is the left wing ( if the nose is facing towards you) is slightly elevated upwards. I couldn't stand it and Exchanged it and same thing. Is it a design flaw? Or am I just that lucky? :(
when was this released? on a lot of websites it says the official release is june 30th but i see a lot of people making reviews in late april and early may...
I tried to apply your tip about removing the spring on Poweriser Prime's gun,but i don't know how to tighten the joints. Can you give me advices,please??
