    You mentioned the stock wheels were too wide of an offset and you went with some Gmade replacements. Which wheels did you go with and what offset did you find ideal? I'm about to build one of these and will likely change the wheels/tires out right off the bat, but I'm trying to figure out which wheels/hubs to go with.

    When I first saw this kit, I about spit my coffee out after seeing the price... but after watching this video... it looks like a bargain actually. I mean for what you get, anyone can easily spend that in upgrades for something else and still not be all that great. It's like you are buying all the functional upgrades needed to have a great rig, but buying it all at once. If I was into competitions, this would absolutely be my go to rig.

    Just the chassis set is an improvement to a otherwise stock SCX10II but it’s no VS410 pro (the VFD + that offset front axel is what makes it LCG) you will spend more than just buying the VS410 pro kit trying to piece one together so really yeah it’s a steep cost of entry but overall it is cheaper if you’re the person that has to have premium everything it’s worth every penny. (Drove someone’s pro vs my SCX10 V1)
    Personally I’m good stock with plastic axels and older SCX10 style transmission I started fresh with a builders kit and the Vanquish chassis upgrade as I go but no plans to go full VS410 pro specs

    I bought the Vanquish VS410 Origin last year because the other famous rc youtube channels said it was the best kit ever made. It turns out they work at that company or were given the kit for free.
    Anyway, that crawler was a mess with a noodle chassis and aluminum that got hung up everywhere. I'm still mad at myself for falling for that garage queen scam. I'm tempted by this one but I'm just not sure. I listen to RC Review but it would be nice to hear from others who can offer up some honest evaluations.

    Comparing it to the new RTR Redcat Gen8 AXE edition, what's your rating in terms of crawling ability or isn't it fair to compare these two RC's against each other? I would think the Redcat's slow speed control is maybe a bit better and overall better value for money. I love the Vanquish body

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  4 года назад

      We ran this next to the Redcat Gen 8. The Gen8 was so rough and top heavy. It was really night and day. The Axe motor is very, very good in slow speed. What it does really well is hill hold. It holds during drag brake (throttle neutral) but it holds as well while applying throttle. Top end is not as good on the Axe as this Holmes Puller Pro.
      The Gen8 has an awful drivetrain. It needs tires for sure. It needs a light body to perform but it's not easy to put a velcro mount one that is aftermarket.

    We have some Traxxas TRX4, some Axial, some others...and the most steep climbs are overcome only by Honcho and a really cheap Austar chassis !

    I don't get the people complaining about the price of this kit?.. sure you can buy 2 or 3 RTR vehicles for the price, but you then have 2 or 3 vehicles that can't make it up the "wall of doom" or over "heartbreak ridge" whatever the famous obstacles might be...
    Sure you can have fun with ANY truck you purchase, but it isn't going to perform like this comprehensively upgraded kit without equivalent money put into it, and then you would still be missing the VFD transmission and lcg with no brass.
    I'm on a budget and pick and choose trucks and parts as I go but I get what the vs410pro is about..

      @@provisionsigns1210 I think your referring to the footage about 11months ago? Which is a comparison of trx4 and vs410 origin... it's a different truck to the vs410pro. The original one is more like a glorified scx10ii with vanquish alloy upgrades. I think most vehicles can perform better with upgraded parts fitted, but once said parts are purchased you would be in a similar or even higher price than the expense of vs410pro kit and still minus the VFD transmission with superior motor placement and CG.. 80w oil in the shocks dose not make for a very scale appearing suspension action. A scale operator would be banging up and down off the seat and hitting there head on the roof when traveling over a rough area. I found that using a much lighter oil makes for a more realistic action and alows the suspension to react to supple movement like a real vehicle as it travels over rough roads. A scale appearing vehicle should be made to perform in a scale manner.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  4 года назад +3

      Something interesting about shock oil is it's completely dependent on the size of the piston holes that it passes through. These Incision shocks have big holes. So 80wt feels like 30wt in most other crawlers. Bigger pistols allow better flow through it seems. Just fyi.

    So, for $800, it doesn’t come with electronics? For that price it should come with WATERPROOF electrics!

      I wouldn't say it's a waste of money. Seems cool to have this option.

    Yeah it's expensive. No Secret. Most People know how I'm always bitching about high prices in RC!! *BUT...*
    This Rig is worth the price, if you're looking for the BEST. Nearly Comp ready out of the box!
    Whiny Fanboys will pay MORE than this for a USELESS XMAXX or UDR!! 😜😂
    This is an awesome Rig, and if I ever have money again, I'm getting one!
