The inner wall is thick and elastic whereas the outer wall is thin . The stomata is generally open during day time and closed during the night time. A turgour pressure is generated and this pulls the radial microfibrils. The gaseous exchange of water in the form of water vapour . In dicots , the guard cells are kidney shaped whereas the monocots possess dumb- bell shaped guard cells. The microfibrils are radially arranged . Guttation and exudation or bleeding. If equal no of stomata are present it is an isobilateral leaf , as present in monocots. Transpiration is affected by several factors- temperature, light , humidity and windspeed. The water molecules are attached to each other with more attraction in liquid phase than gaseous phase. Tensile strength and capillarity play a significant role.
