Find it interesting what baits you like to use and the colors. As a custom bait maker and lure painter, I’m always trying to stay up with what the pros like to use. Especially their color choices. I have some blanks very similar to the one you showed. I’ll have to try and paint that pattern of colors with my touch added to them.
Let me guess.... Megabass makes it 😂😂😂 if Randy change the sponsors to RAPALA next year.... It'll be well now finally guys I can tell you about what my favorite jerkbait .... Is hands-down without a doubt the best fish......the Rapala Husky Jerk..... I'm just so relieved guys that I can finally get that off my chest..... I'm just so relieved to let everybody know that Rapala makes the best jerk bait of all time...... Or at least until I change sponsors again..... 😂 😂..... Fishermen are some of the most gullible .... Guarantee you there's people watching this video that are going to be standing in line tomorrow to buy the greatest jerkbait ever made.... 😂🤦
I got mine about 2 weeks ago and I took it out last Sunday and caught 1 on my very first cast. I went on to catch 14 before they turned off. If you guys are worried about paying so much for a bait, all I can say is, it's worth it. 😎
They are crappie baits basically. I’ve had micro jerkbaits and crank baits for years. This is different probably much better but still it’s just a remarketing for bass
Randy this is the Juice please don't say much more lol. Great bait!!!!! Keep up the great content! I might not agree with everything you say but I respect you and your opinions. Great job again
Randy I have been fishing the Yo Zuri Pins minnows for years for trout and this seems like the only lure that might surpass it. I do however use twitches, and speed change ups. Up here in P.A. I find more success with that than I do on just a straight retrieval. The bass are different every where I've fished so the trout are likely the same. Great video and I'm gonna order some now if there still in stock.
This would be an amazing video idea - Todd Castledine & Randy Blaukat discuss their experience with plopper style baits in 2022 - I believe yall had opposite experiences…. Todd throws it a lot
Randy, the day you fished this lure and caught 14. Did you only throw this lure, or did you mix it up with the other jerkbaits you normally use? How did it fair against any other lure you used that day? Thanks.
I’ve caught a lot of bass on the MB X-80 Trick Darter. I had to modify most of these lures I bought to make them more buoyant and suspend…out of the box, they were sinking too fast in my water temps for my liking.
They're pretty good... They're waterproof for one..... So you know they can take the elements...... But they don't swim automatically when you throw them in you have to manually make them swim....that's the downside... You would think for 399.99 all you have to do is turn it loose out of the box and it would go get them bass and bring them back to the boat.... That's my review you give it a shot and see what it does for you....happy fishing and tight lines
Must say jerk baits videos upped my game in the spring and fall for some reason having a lot of trouble in water below 45 degrees as is here in the winter months gonna keep at it till I figure something out but thanks for all the tips
Are you kidding about using 4 pound test for these jerkbaits. I guess if I got them for free 4 pound would probably use them with 4 pound. I will continue to go with the small Rapala xrap in 1/4 ounce for half the price and with 6 pound test on my spinning outfit. I just cannot warrant the megabass price tag that you praise. They are terrific but the price is killer to me.
Like the channel, but still can't get used to you putting tackle items out there that we cannot get(custom paint-jobs, crazy prices, out-of-stock, etc.) The one you show(X-80) is OOS everywhere or priced higher than a cat's back on Ebay. Are you kidding?! Megabass has not proven to me that it is the end-all....at anything. They are sometimes-good, sometimes hit-or-miss. As a co-angler, I have out-fished dudes who are throwing Megabass. NOTHING is certain. This is the one thing that perturbs me about your channel.
Ya know, I don’t spend my time watching Mercedes commercials and then write them to complain about how expensive their cars are. Why be perturbed and complain about it? Watch something else if it’s that irritating! Great job, Randy. Love the videos even if I can’t afford all of the lures the pros use!! Keep ‘em coming!
I honestly wonder if all these megabass lures you constantly promote work so well why didn’t you do better in tournaments over the last few years It’s a fair question Don’t delete
Your question is a perfect example of the ones I talk about that attack the messenger and ignore the message. First of all any lure I talk about has situational applications, and some tournaments simply don’t line up with those Lure categories. Secondly, you could pose that same question to any professional angler, even one such as Rick Clunn who is arguably one of the top three greatest anglers in history of fishing and has only qualified for the bass masters classic once in over the past decade. You could also ask why Pete Rose is still not getting 200 hits per season even though he’s 70 years old. I’m 61 years old and I’ve had my day in the sun and I’m past my prime. My primary role now is a mentor and a teacher. Again, I would you quit attacking messengers and start listening to the message.
But it’s specifically a megabass lure vs talking about a lure type….. basically a commercial and it’s going old…… we all want hogging tips and good stories from your past fishing experiences…. Getting constantly beat over the head with megabass for the 7 minute clip is wearing the viewer out….. I would assume according to the Recent Dave Mercer interview your doing good decent enuf with your yt channel proceeds to maybe chill out on the promoting and click bait stuff
@@garyboudreau2872 it’s taken me 40 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses to gain the information that I have about the fishing tips. Which I’m giving for free. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for viewers to listen to a little bit of product advertising the same way you would with any other television show
Rapala countdowns work great also. For the last 20 year's.
Love rapala lures, its painful enuff spending 10$ a lure and losing it... I cant imagine losing 30$ Mega Bass lures 😵💫
@@juliod5961 That's a 68-dollar Mega Bass Lure (Baby Kingyo) if you can find them on eBay
Really nice looking bait....Guess what's old (Rapala countdown 07) is new Megabass x 80 Jr.

Randy thanks for the video.
It’s like a little pointer 78

This guy helped create the vision 110 in the 90’s. The fact that he’s been a fan of mega bass for 30+ years, to me sounds authentic.
@Align_SD
You destroyed that guy’s statement without even trying.
Looks a bit like a Shadow Rap Shad.

What's the difference between the Jr and Trick Darter?
Randy this is the Juice please don't say much more lol. Great bait!!!!! Keep up the great content! I might not agree with everything you say but I respect you and your opinions. Great job again
Hi Randy, can you please do a video on sinking and building your own structure? have you done it? is it worth it? how do you do it etc. thank a lot

Sold out before I could get one but I do have that color in the 110, 110 jr and popmax

off topic. Thanks for your "top 10" RUclipsrs. Richard Gene is who I've been looking for.

X NANAHAN ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Awesome. I soak this stuff up lol…this is going to be fire in the north
I like the bait and that color too , super fine looking
Good luck finding that color.
looks good for brown trout in our driftless streams & rivers
Have you used any swim baits? If so, how do they perform in the water?

Got me a few a couple weeks ago and I have to say they are amazing...maybe better than the 110jr+1
I wish I could get a hold of the Baby Kingyo JerkBait
I'll buy anything that improves cold water fishing ,jerk lures are fun and productive
Randy believe me: IMA FOXY FRY!!!!!!!
WOW if that is them in the box behind you, you will have a bunch of them. 😁
Should have waited. Just got the megabass blade bait
Dyna response is straight garbage

They're not really that new been out for a bit now only a few shops over here started carrying them but where available for over a year in Japan.
that lure is not new, it came out in late 2021, i've been using last year smashing smallies like crazy
Is you crazy? You said Megaass X Hanah is the best, then you say it's this? Which is it?
Send me one!
Course you got that color normal people can't get it it's sold out everywhere
Unless you see the post early you never get any of the baits.

This particular bait was super popular and that was one of the first colors to sell out.
He's such a hypocrite.
You gotta remember who pays his bills
There's no way somebody is this big of a moron

Man randy will you stop with the unadulterated promotion of megabass....i realize they pay your bills but c'mon
Getting too clickbaity
Hi guys, go throw this $50 jerkbait on 4 lb test🙄 smh, a piece of $.50 plastic is not worth $50. Get real
