I don't get the why those particular positions of the symbols on the vine.

If you look at the place to enter the correct answer, you will see a gray line. You should think that this gray line is a vine.Look at where the shape hits the vine.
In the shape of a water drop, the side of the right side touches the vine. So, turn the shape of the water drop to the right side. You can also look at the direction of the rest of the shapes that touch the vine.

Look closely at the button to enter the correct answer. There is a gray line at the bottom. It is a vine. Look for the vines at the bottom and the shapes at the top.

It's to do with their position against the lining. If you follow the lines so that they're below the shapes as hinted on the combination lock, both hearts have their points pointing to the left.

A green light indicates the correct answer. Make all lights green. Remember the sequence until the green light comes on.
