This song could easily be presented as BabyMetal's new song without raising suspicions. But Poppy is a versatile band/artist with multiple sounds, and the singer's flawless ability to make her parts catchy works like a charm everytime.
This is fucking brilliant. I love Poppy's newer art like from the last year or so. Coz she still maintains that cute but cold robotic-like persona but she's venturing more and more into rock/ metal and 'post-genre' which makes for a REALLY COOL juxtaposition and im absolutely loving it, and she has also been writing more personal lyrics even if they are written in abstract and metaphors and I like the real glimpses of emotion I see in her sometimes. Makes me feel closer to her art. Wonderful video too. 👍❤

I think this song is about social anxiety? She says “you can’t read my brain until it’s off, not coming off” so basically the person with social anxiety is trying to show others a completely different person and the music is basically the chaos that’s going on inside the persons head while being around people. It makes sense at least for me and because I have social anxiety, it’s pretty much the exact representation. She also says something along the lines of “don’t look at me” which I think means if anyone looks at someone in this case the person has social anxiety, they feel extremely anxious because they think the person that they might not even know is judging them. Idk it could honestly mean a lot of things but for me personally I think it makes sense as being a song about social anxiety
