They negotiated a peace treaty after the war, and as far as I know they've kept to its terms. *Sten:* They signed a piece of paper. But only because they knew that you believed in it. *Alistair:* And what is the difference between that and negotiating? *Sten:* They stopped fighting for their own reasons. And they will resume it again, one day. The agreement means nothing to them. *Alistair:* But I thought you said your people believed in honor. *Sten:* They do. The honor of the Qunari is what will bring our warships back to your shores. ----- Veilguard: *Rook:* Taash likes you. *Harding:* Rook! *Rook:* What? It's true! Ask them. *Taash:* You're really nice. And he would not mind, I am certain. *Sten:* You would, even were I interested in a small thing like you. The Qunari act is... unpleasant. *Morrigan:* Unpleasant? Unpleasant how? Now I really am interested. *Sten:* Deadly. *Morrigan:* And what if I didn't mind? I enjoy a little... animation. Sten: You'd be less animated afterward. *Morrigan:* It sounds as if I am arousing your passions already, my dear Sten. *Sten:* Parshaara. Why do you pester me? *Morrigan:* (Chuckles) Because 'tis amusing, that is why. ─────── Veilguard: *Emmrich:* Rook! Excellent! Death Mage won't give me one. *Emmrich:* First, a bone threader is an extremely delicate instrument. Second, it's _Emmrich,_ Taash. My name is Emmrich. Not "Death Mage." Not "Corpse Guy." Not... I won't repeat the rest. *Taash:* What? You _are_ a death mage. *Emmrich:* Why are all my attempts to converse with you met with scorn? What have I done to you, Taash? *Taash:* You talk about corpses too much! *Emmrich:* It's a rich topic! *Taash:* No! Corpses are messed up! They used to have people in em! *Taash:* You make them move like they are alive. But they smell wrong and they move wrong and none of it is okay! *Emmrich:* ....oh. Are we under attack? *Sten:* I want to see what you can do. *Alistair:* You want to fight me? Just like that? *Sten:* You are a Grey Warden. How are you going to face an archdemon if you cannot face me? *Alistair:* It is a mystery, I'll admit. *Sten:* I should let your weakness damn us all? Draw your sword. I'll try not to injure you permanently. *Alistair:* I don't have to prove anything to you. Forget it. *Sten:* So you do have a spine. Pity you don't use it. ------------ *Taash:* are you trying to have sex with me? *Rook:* Wow.. in my daydreams this is where you'd.. lean over me and slap the wall. *Taash:* [Slaps wall] Quick. Think about us having sex. Origins: *Morrigan:* You seem so deep in thought, my dear Sten. Thinking of me, perhaps? The two of us, together at last? *Sten:* Yes. *Morrigan:* I... what did you say? *Sten:* You will need armor, I think. And a helmet. And something to bite down on. How strong are human teeth? *Morrigan:* How strong are my teeth? *Sten:* Qunari teeth can bite through leather, wood, even metal given time. Which reminds me, I may try to nuzzle. *Morrigan:* Nuzzle? *Sten:* If that happens, you'll need an iron pry bar. Heat it in a fire, first, or it may not get my attention. *Morrigan:* Perhaps it would be better if we did not proceed. *Sten:* Are you certain? If it will satisfy your curiosity... *Morrigan:* Yes. Yes, I think it is best. -------- Veilguard: *Taash:* So I'm non-binary. *Shathann:* what does that mean? *Taash:* It means I don't feel like a man or a woman. *Shathann:* If you are neither a man nor a woman... Than what _are_ you? *Taash:* Non-binary. I just said. And I'm going to use "they" instead of "she" from now on. *Shathann:* If this is because I have criticized your dress or your manners-- *Taash:* It isn't! *Shathann:* Under the Qun the term for one whose gender does not match the one given to them at birth is "aqun-athlok." Perhaps you are like that? *Taash:* why do you have to keep picking at it? Why can't you just be happy for me?! Origins: *Sten:* I don't understand. You look like a woman. *Female Warden:* [I am a woman.] *Sten:* You are a grey warden. So it follows that you _can't_ be a woman. *Warden:* [Why not?] *Sten:* Women are priests, artisans, shopkeepers, or farmers. They don't fight. *Warden:* [That's not a universal truth. Some women fight.] *Sten:* Why would women ever wish to be men? That makes no sense. *Warden:* [They don't wish to be men. They wish to be women who fight.] *Sten:* Do they also wish to live on the moon? That's as attainable. *Warden:* [I'm a woman, and I'm fighting.] *Sten:* One of those things _can't_ be true. A person is born: Qunari, or human, or elven, or dwarf. He doesn't choose that. The size of his hands, whether he is clever or foolish, the land he comes from, the color of his hair: these are beyond his control. We do not choose, we simply are. *Warden:* [But a person can choose what to do.] *Sten:* can they? We'll see. Alt: *Sten:* Why are you here? *Wynne:* I beg your pardon? *Sten:* Women are artisans, or merchants. Or farmers, though you don't seem particularly... earthy. They have no place in war. *Wynne:* I can't even begin to tell you what's wrong with that idea. *Sten:* It is not done. There is no more to it. *Wynne:* I do not understand. Do the Qunari have no female mages? No female warriors? *Sten:* Of course not. Why would our women wish to be men? *Wynne:* Do you believe I wish to be a man? *Sten:* You cannot wish to be a man. It will lead you only to frustration. *Wynne:* Hmm. I believe this discussion does the same. Let us speak no more of it, Sten. *Sten:* As you wish. Additional: *Zevran:* "Sten", it's not a name is it? *Sten:* Do you always begin conversations this way? *Zevran:* It's your rank is it not? I've met a few Qunari in Antiva you know. Not much for conversation but some of them were quite easy on the eyes. *Sten:* Those are not Qunari. *Zevran:* No? They are what then, very large dwarves with comical accents? *Sten:* They wear the faces of Qunari but they are Tal'vashoth, fiends of Seheron. They have abandoned the Qun. *Zevran:* With titles like your own though, which makes me curious. What is your real name then? *Sten:* "Sten" is enough. *Zevran:* But it is not your name. *Sten:* It is who I am. Edited to fix formatting on one of the names
I appreciate you making the comparison but could you put a triggerwarning on the veilguard dialogue? I was holding a pen and my instinct was to try to drive it into my brain.

An interesting peculiarity. You don’t call a woman 'she'? Drop and give me 10 push-ups. You call a man by some made-up title when he asks to be called by his name - WELL, WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL HERE? YOU ARE A DEATH MAGE, AREN'T YOU?

this is the truth that LGBT don't wish to acknowledge. they don't believe it themselves, if they feel like misgendering is equal to denying their existence. my sister, who is an uber lefty, and has come out as nonbinary and says she is pansexual, has said as much to me before. my thing is, if someone tried to say i was gay, or called me a woman, i'd just laugh at them. it would not bother me at all, because i know 100% who i am. there are legit trans people, like Blaire White for example. she is the same. if someone calls here a dude, she doesn't care. and i have no problem calling her a she, because she looks like a she, and clearly believes it herself. she is comfortable and confident in her identity. but if you don't believe it yourself, don't expect me to believe it for you, and constantly affirm you so your glass of an identity doesn't shatter up against reality. the fact is, if you truly believe it is who you are, you won't care what other people think, or call you. you have never seen a cis gendered person get mad at being called the opposite gender. in our eyes, it's just a ridiculous and hilarious notion...
@@ErzaScarlett8787 absolutely yes... the term non binary is men made, its stupid to have that term even used with a non human fictional characters like qunari , they are not familiar with that term, its not even in their culture or their dictionary. @@katamed5205 I posted this as a whole already but wanted to make sure you see it and get your thoughts? I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts on this. you said that this was lacking empathy and i couldn't disagree more. Empathy requires "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another" Sten fully understood not just from taash's perspective, but also from the perspective of the qun. taash has lost the way and has been looking inward for answers they themselves do not have (a literal self made echo chamber with room for only one voice) and then when faced with an outside answer that didn't immidetly validate their feelings, they choose to lash out like a teenager going through puberty, irrational and emotional without logic or rhetoric (you know...the things the Qunari are known for) Problems that could be solved with a 10 min conversation are completely blown out of proportions by a lack in accountability and self awareness(typical of the modern generations of 2024) as well as by abandoning the qun, and then being confused as to why they no longer feel like they "belong". its a literal self-imposed confusion and self consuming mindset that a lot of people (not just trans) suffer from today due to the echo chamber that is the internet. "They" (no pun intended) really could have explored this more, but likely would have been labeled some kind of "phobe" for tying to apply logic/rhetoric to a trans character. (Because accountability and objectivity based in logic and rhetoric that doesn't immidetly validate a persons subjective feelings, makes you a "phobe" nowadays)
@@katamed5205 I would resent understanding someone like Taash, because they choose to not understand anyone else but themselves and their needs, making a pedestal for it.

More than that, he asked every woman in the party (excluding Shale for obvious reasons), including the PC. It's even a sort of harassment at some point. And he do not stand back because they answer, far from it. The trans possibility introduced in DAI was already a mistake, whatever bending of the lore they did. It was clear back then than the qun isn't the kind of philosophy to deny the obvious.
@@garroshhellscream594 I disagree. Sten is the one who says he was wrong afterwards, to the warden. That through your actions you proved youserlf a warrior worthy of being in the beresaad. Even though you lost your destiny, this was not a bad thing. I think they wanted the qunari to not use What I like about the qunari is that they were harsh, but at the same time, they said they were wrong when you proved it. Like, the Arishok asks Hawke what they would do in his place about the elves. You can say you would do the same as him.
@@garroshhellscream594 I don’t think Sten’s behavior qualifies as harassment. What you’re interpreting as harassment is better understood as cultural confusion and bluntness, which is consistent with his character and the Qunari worldview. Harassment implies malicious intent or repeated behavior aimed at discomforting someone, and Sten’s questions don’t fall into that category. Sten is a product of the Qunari culture, where roles are rigidly defined, and women as warriors are virtually unheard of. His questioning is a reflection of that worldview-he’s trying to make sense of what he sees as an anomaly, not belittle the women in the party. His bluntness can come across as abrasive, sure, but that’s part of who he is as a Qunari. Most importantly, Sten demonstrates growth. When the Warden or other women in the party prove their worth through their actions, he doesn’t double down on his assumptions. Instead, he admits he was wrong and acknowledges their skill and honor. This kind of humility is rare in a character like Sten and shows that his questioning wasn’t harassment-it was a way for him to grapple with his rigid worldview being challenged. It’s also worth noting that Dragon Age: Origins uses moments like this to highlight cultural clashes, and Sten’s arc reflects the Qunari’s blend of pragmatism and rigidity. His eventual respect for the Warden or other female warriors underscores that he values strength and purpose over preconceived notions. That’s a far cry from harassment-it’s a story of personal growth.
Sten: “Hmm, I miss the hound, and the rock, the old woman, the little sister, even the witch. I do not miss the idiot, the elf or the dwarf, but I’d sooner spend an eternity in their company before I spend another second among these... children.”
I remember talking with sten while playing DA Origins and feeling amazed conversing with someone whose looks and perspective truly felt different from a human. Taash, however, feels like a modern day confused californian with grey skin and horns. Template on "how to fail at fantasy".
Tbh I didn't think they could create a much bigger let down in representation of Qunari culture than Iron Bull, but then Taash came along like hold my beer and blew him clear out of the water
@@XenolithialThe difference is that Iron Bull is meant to be an oddball and a black sheep amongst the Qunari. His personal quest either takes him back to the Qun or tips him over the edge to Tal-vashoth. Taash is just straight up a terrible character and an opportunity for the writer to self-insert.
@@deadchivalry1698 A lot of people say that but tbh I think Iron Bull was more damaging because he was used to set the standard that paved the way for the trainwreck that is Taash. He turned Qunari reproduction from a highly regimented process that can be and often is fatal - particularly to other races - and just made it... A night when a safe word and aftercare may be in order. He became the gateway that retconned every conversation Sten had regarding the roles of women and men in the Qunari - which is tied into the very fabric of how that entire society is structured He claimed to be a spy and yet the Arishok outright says that operating from the shadows is the mark of someone too weak to stand before their enemy. Which doesn't mean the Qunari don't have spies necessarily, but somehow I doubt they're anything like how he was presented. And the Qunari would be far more likely to use a viddathari of another race since they would blend in far better for such a task I imagine, but that may just be my headcanon And these are just a few of the things I remember. And these are things that aren't really linked to his individual personality. But they torch the established Qunari culture just the same. Much like how Veilguard torched Fereldan I suppose. His personality is extremely bizarre for a person raised under the Qun. And that is the only part that could be explained by him becoming Tal-Vashoth. He should have been Tal-Vashoth from the beginning. He'd have been the most cavalier one we've ever encountered, but it would have fixed a lot of these issues. And they could still have him struggle with his decision to return to the Qun or remain Tal-Vashoth. Though had he returned I imagine it would be similar to Fenris' outcome when he returns to Danarius.
@@Xenolithial You have to keep in mind that Iron Bull was, at the end of the day, a spy, and that he was pretending to be a Vashoth. Part of his character arc is precisely the fact that he has been pretending for so long that he is becoming the mask.
You're sure he isn't HER companion story boss? Being the dev's alter ego mary sue power fanfic character and "Her" mother just died, after telling Taash's what she always wanted to hear her say, It would just be soooo poetic if she killed her father, the "real" villain in this confused mess of a wish fulfillment fantasy? 😆

Sten was fully formed as a Qun. Simply straight forward and that made his addition to the party all the more engaging. Even Ogrhen could waver or sway but Sten knew who and what he was.

Sten was the perfect example of putting your cultural differences aside and instead finding common ground enough to find camaraderie and respect in each other. As proud and xenophobic as he was, he learned to respect the hero of Ferelden regardless of gender role, race or class. Shame that Dragon Age: The Veilguard ruined the chance to see him again.
The fact that's so accurate to Sten's character is mindblowing. And it really describes these priviliged "people" very well too, not to mention the more scummy ones who use blackmail to get jobs and stay employed. This Taash character deserved some sense knocked into it, self insert that put's even Spider-man 2 's MJ to shame.
Because 100% of the time you don't know who you are talking to. Are they men, women, animals, objects?( By their very own logic) That's why I say "people" using quotations.
And then she runs off into the forest, falls into a river, nearly drowns, gets saved by Sten who followed her, enters his training to learn how to self-regulate and be a warrior becoming an empathetic badass in the end. The problem with Taash never was her personality, it's the absence of character development because she is a mere reflection of the mental and emotional state her writers are stuck in.
@Nichaelas Are you saying he has room for development as well? My point was not to be super accurate, my point was you could actually make every character and every idea work if you actually tried. The seasoned veteran who learns to go new ways by his student is like the first page in the 101 of fantasy writing -.- ANYTHING would be better than just letting Taash be the same annoying teenager for the whole game.
@@Norwolf2097 I just don't really see anything wrong with Sten sticking to the Qun. He already developed in Origins to be more tolerant of other people's views even if he doesn't agree. Realistically not every character is capable of changing that drastically, in the same way that there are some things people in real life will never change on. I just don't ever see Sten doing anything that is directly against the Qun and I don't think saving Taash's character is worth sacrificing Sten's dedication to the Qun. Honestly Taash just needs an attitude adjustment which he can provide without training her as warrior or approving of that path. I haven't personally played Veilguard because I'm not giving Bioware money for that crap, but I remember it being mentioned many times that Taash is naturally good at fighting, so she doesn't really need Sten's help with that.
@Nichaelas dude, do you not get the point that I just quickly made some random shit up to show it's possible to make even Taash likeable if you give her any kind of character development. Idgaf if my random nonsense is "lore accurate" xD
@@Norwolf2097 I'm agreeing that it is possible and it would be better since literally anything would be better than what we got. I'm just saying she's not worth sacrificing an attribute of another character. They could've made Rook call her out instead of being a walking doormat, two birds with one stone.
FR this could be Taash's whole companion quest, it would adress matters of identity in a realistic and healthy manner and we'd get to see Sten being the badass stoic mf he is once again. That's gonna be my canon from now on: Sten being the present father figure Taash much needed in her life
I'll do you one better : Taash is non canon and Veilguard is not even worthy the name of "Videogame". It's badly made fan fiction from the worst trans activist ever existed.

DA:O character Sten has been a LEGEND since 3 november 2009. Dev alter ego mary Sue power fanfic character Evataash will be forgotten the moment EA pulls the plug on their shill payments 😂
Perfect example of why DA's "lore" is beloved by so many players. Not that it is a "perfect lore" overall, but because it is so DEEP in texture. Why Sten's portion works so well? Since Taash is Qunari, that means she is INSTANTLY one of 2 things ... part of the Qun, are NOT part of the Qun. As such, if Taash WAS part of the Qun then such personal identity issues WOULD NOT EXIST because the teachings of the Qun would have outlined it from BIRTH. And if NOT part of the Qun, then the vast majority of Qunari WOULDN'T CARE about your personal feelings, because you would be viewed as Tal-Vashoth and more or less hunted down to end you before your "corruption" could spread to other Qunari.
I remember a dialogue where he said that happiness is not important and can be obtained by fulfilling one’s destiny, his happiness is to be and remain Sten.

What a REAL and COMPELLING argument sounds like. THIS IS how she would be treated in the Dragon Age world if this game wasn't a glorified therapy session.
The Qunari in DA:O and DA2 genuinely piqued my curiosity about the culture of a distant race in a fantasy world. "Traash" is just a modern day Californian man-child, cosplaying a Qunari.
Qunari in DA2 we’re terrifying, a near hive minded collective that mentally breaks people who aren’t of use to the Qun. They really should’ve focused on finishing the story that was there, instead of inventing a new one
"'They'? You are one. Changing words does not change what you are. The Qun has no place for this self-indulgence." That was perfect. It's exactly what Sten would have said.
Well said like it actually respects the cannon of Dragon Age O.O that was built by the previous lore and isn't brainwashed by an ideology centered around depopulation, and mental illness.
Sten is a warrior of the Beresaad, the vanguard of the Qunari people. He is a stoic and disciplined man with a strong code of ethics, and the way he treats others depends on whether or not they have his respect, which he does not give easily. He is not a typical Qunari as he was born without horns. As with all Qunari appellations, "Sten" is not a name but a rank.
Wow. I wish this was in the game... Its absolutely great. I wish Taash, in this imaginary spin-off, would learn and grow. I would have loved to see the growth and development of this character, starting from a terrible piece of sh** to something we would have care of, even if she is still "confused". So much lost potential in this stupid game. Shame on the writers, SHAME.
This is Epic. A good dialogue between a fool and a saviour. Notice how this also doesn't look flat as the Veilguard dialogue at the table. A dialogue like this would have improved the sales. But not by a lot considering the Fortnitish character design.
THANK YOU! This video was Refreshing and Amusing at the same time! A funny remind how Qunari should be. Taash is more of a Tal-Vashoth. The ending was priceless... "it needs you to stop being a burden". Roasted from the beginning to the end of this conversation! This dialogue should be presented to woke people.
You know... if someone had told me this character was going to be introduced in DA:TV, I have to say this is exactly what I would have pictured it to look like. BTW, Bioware, the word "Binary" didn't exist until the digital age, so why would anyone in the game's entire reality even have that word? Does the character also talk about how it hates Trump?
Well done! The Qun requires you to be disciplined and stay in the role given to you. In most cases the tamasrans decide what you are going to be. Your role is also most of your identity. This is how they maintain order in their society. People can think what they will about the ideology itself, but that’s how it is. It’s an interesting part of Dragon Age, and one of the most interesting parts of Dragon Age 2.
The knowledge about Sten on this one is undenyablle, is 100% what he would have said, just perfect... congrats ! i still feel that having people with diferent points of view (and being ablle to keep or kick them) was one of the best part of DAO
The older I get, the more I love the Qunari and their culture, their logic and their way of thinking. Honestly, I think among all other races in DA, none comes closer to figuring life out than them. I especially enjoy all, and I mean all dialogues with the Arishok in DA2.
I would honestly have loved this conversation if it was in the game. It would have been so cool to actually go in on her with him and agree with him. I may have even played it
This is a banger of an edit, but its also spitting some serious facts about self-indulgence and self-made chaos. All this nonsense about identity has people twisted up trying to find the right words or monikers to explain themselves. We had this figured out in the 1990s with every other movie and show shouting, "Be Yourself!" to the high heavens, now people need everyone to play along and kiss their ass.

*Sten:* Those are not Qunari.
*Zevran:* No? They are what then, very large dwarves with comical accents?
*Sten:* They wear the faces of Qunari but they are Tal'vashoth, fiends of Seheron. They have abandoned the Qun.

this is the truth that LGBT don't wish to acknowledge. they don't believe it themselves, if they feel like misgendering is equal to denying their existence. my sister, who is an uber lefty, and has come out as nonbinary and says she is pansexual, has said as much to me before. my thing is, if someone tried to say i was gay, or called me a woman, i'd just laugh at them. it would not bother me at all, because i know 100% who i am. there are legit trans people, like Blaire White for example. she is the same. if someone calls here a dude, she doesn't care. and i have no problem calling her a she, because she looks like a she, and clearly believes it herself. she is comfortable and confident in her identity. but if you don't believe it yourself, don't expect me to believe it for you, and constantly affirm you so your glass of an identity doesn't shatter up against reality.

Sten DESTROYS sjw with Qun and Logic.
Aside from lacking empathy… it’s hard to argue against when put in those words.
Because he is a real qunari, and "they" are woke'vashoth
@@katamed5205 I posted this as a whole already but wanted to make sure you see it and get your thoughts? I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts on this.
you said that this was lacking empathy and i couldn't disagree more.
Empathy requires "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another"
Sten fully understood not just from taash's perspective, but also from the perspective of the qun.
taash has lost the way and has been looking inward for answers they themselves do not have
(a literal self made echo chamber with room for only one voice) and then when faced with an outside answer that didn't immidetly validate their feelings, they choose to lash out like a teenager going through puberty, irrational and emotional without logic or rhetoric (you know...the things the Qunari are known for)
Problems that could be solved with a 10 min conversation are completely blown out of proportions by a lack in accountability and self awareness(typical of the modern generations of 2024)
as well as by abandoning the qun, and then being confused as to why they no longer feel like they "belong". its a literal self-imposed confusion and self consuming mindset that a lot of people (not just trans) suffer from today due to the echo chamber that is the internet.
@@katamed5205 I would resent understanding someone like Taash, because they choose to not understand anyone else but themselves and their needs, making a pedestal for it.

how is this perfect making sten looks transphobic
The only thing missing was "What kind of profession is Taash?" *Since Qunari have no names, only Job descriptions to recognize what you do.* ;'D
Sten once asked "Why would women ever wish to be men? That makes no sense."
Verbatim. From the game.
I think they wanted the qunari to not use
What I like about the qunari is that they were harsh, but at the same time, they said they were wrong when you proved it.
Sten is the best. And Origins. Aaah, whatever, this world is screwed.
*Verbatim
Sten: “Hmm, I miss the hound, and the rock, the old woman, the little sister, even the witch. I do not miss the idiot, the elf or the dwarf, but I’d sooner spend an eternity in their company before I spend another second among these... children.”

He became the gateway that retconned every conversation Sten had regarding the roles of women and men in the Qunari - which is tied into the very fabric of how that entire society is structured
He claimed to be a spy and yet the Arishok outright says that operating from the shadows is the mark of someone too weak to stand before their enemy. Which doesn't mean the Qunari don't have spies necessarily, but somehow I doubt they're anything like how he was presented. And the Qunari would be far more likely to use a viddathari of another race since they would blend in far better for such a task I imagine, but that may just be my headcanon
And these are just a few of the things I remember.
@@deadchivalry1698 It is a literal self insert too
@@Xenolithial You have to keep in mind that Iron Bull was, at the end of the day, a spy, and that he was pretending to be a Vashoth. Part of his character arc is precisely the fact that he has been pretending for so long that he is becoming the mask.

My man casually wrote 2 mins of dialogue better than anything the VG "writers" could come up with.
"Vashedan" "Then say it better!" Oh Traash, nobody can say "Vashedan" quite as well as Sten does.
"Traash" is just a modern day Californian man-child, cosplaying a Qunari.
lore accurate
Alternate title: "Sten being best Dad for over 2 minutes"
Just imagine what The Arishok would say 💀
just imagine wat ur momma say . straightesssttt whitesttt lmao
But Sten is the Arishok now
Sten IS the Arishok, my friend.
@@1imperfect3kontra18 I meant the iconic one from DA2. He was based.
@@svenericsson7286 I'm aware. Hornless Qunari always were designed for great things.
OG qunari humbles Taash. Reminds her about their culture of warriors, cenetered around virtue of self control. Love it
This conversation is so freaking lore accurate it made me laugh!
Sten "Enough? You are obviously not even enough for yourself." That line was cold and I love it!
Qunari in DA2 we’re terrifying, a near hive minded collective that mentally breaks people who aren’t of use to the Qun. They really should’ve focused on finishing the story that was there, instead of inventing a new one
"'They'? You are one. Changing words does not change what you are. The Qun has no place for this self-indulgence."
That was perfect. It's exactly what Sten would have said.
Well said like it actually respects the cannon of Dragon Age O.O that was built by the previous lore and isn't brainwashed by an ideology centered around depopulation, and mental illness.
So turns out Sten was one of those Qunari who spit fire?
Probably frost. Since he cold af truthfully
Figuratively’s clearly ‘hotter’ than literally.
A fantasy world character using a term that derives from computer code is really immersion breaking. What were they thinking.
Binary doesnt come from computers, it existed way before that. Binary is a numerical system
Now THAT is how you send a message.
''Changing words does not change what you are'' Im taking this one for future use , thank you.
Shame on the writers, SHAME.
...I know this is all just fan-made, but DAMN why does this feel so satisfying
WOW....if this was in Veilguard and Sten destroyed her like that, I'd probably have bought it.
This deserves an Oscar!
Absolutely perfect! I love how this person understands the Dragon Age lore so much better than the people who gave us Failguard.
This just made Sten one of my favorites.
“Struggle is the price of refusing clarity” this quote is fire💀🔥
Haha! This is the crossover I wanted to see 😂 I always thought about what kind of reaction Sten would have to Veilguard
This is Epic. A good dialogue between a fool and a saviour. Notice how this also doesn't look flat as the Veilguard dialogue at the table. A dialogue like this would have improved the sales. But not by a lot considering the Fortnitish character design.
OMG just what I'm looking for lmao
The hilarious part is that Sten is the Arishok from after DA2 and forward.
It's feels so good to hear deep, literate speech again. I started to feel like a stupid toddler after Vielguard. Thank you 🙏
This was better than most of the veilguards dialogue
Better writing then all of veilguard, i cant think of a single scene this engaging in the entire game😂. Great work
amazing writing, almost as if sten is based and speak only in truth and understand the bigger picture, what a chad
And that, Lady and Gentleman is a true Qunari.
The knowledge about Sten on this one is undenyablle, is 100% what he would have said, just perfect... congrats ! i still feel that having people with diferent points of view (and being ablle to keep or kick them) was one of the best part of DAO
Now if only this was an option in game that will really put boost up the near non RPG element of the game
Sten is soo good. just played through Origins again he is the strength in my arm, the conviction in my heart. he is Qunari made manifest.
“Not even enough for yourself” Fact
This is better than any scene in veilguard.
Именно так Кунари и начал бы говорить со своим заплутавшим родичем тал-васготом. А мне всё больше и больше начинает нравиться философия Кун.
The older I get, the more I love the Qunari and their culture, their logic and their way of thinking. Honestly, I think among all other races in DA, none comes closer to figuring life out than them. I especially enjoy all, and I mean all dialogues with the Arishok in DA2.
Sten telling it like it is!
someone hire this guy
I truly wish this was in the game.
This is better character writing than the entire goddamn game.
Sten 😭
it though Sten was kind of an a*hole at first , even regretted not leaving him to rot in that cage but later I understood the guy is solid
He can be an a-hole and understandable.
I would honestly have loved this conversation if it was in the game. It would have been so cool to actually go in on her with him and agree with him. I may have even played it
Dude this was a burner, you have to make more videos like this!
Sten was a total badass here. ❤
Damn, you could cook a whole turkey with that roast.😂
Sten is 100 percent correct. Well done.
The Qun is obviously something I would not want to live under. But especially the beginning of the video was spot on.
Sten was a real man
Мужики, база. Автору поклон
Sten is the father so many people in this era needed.
