      To me the camaro doesn't sound bad with a smaller engine because the newer camaros are more sportscar and less muscle car imo. It fits the car better than it would on a mustang or something like that.

      I would rather want to hear the turbo than the 4 cylinder that’s straight piped, but if it has like a aftermarket muffler than that’s fine in my opinion.

  • @luciusael

    It's NOT easy to get these to 450-500hp (especially at the wheels). The only way it's "easy" is if you replace the stock pistons+rods+springs with aftermarket (ZZP, for example), then preferably swap out the cams for more aggressive ones, and then of course get a bigger turbocharger. This isn't cheap too. But even after doing that you better watch all the extra heat you'd be generating so you'd need a better intercooler, radiator -- I'd actually get an engine cooler + trans cooler + even a differential cooler, like in the 1LE model, just to be safe in the long run and get the reliability you need. Oh, and if you're really going for over 500hp you better change the fuel injectors for higher pressure ones (e.g. Nostrum). This is all, considering the labour as well, $10-15k at LEAST. So, no, that amount of power is can't "easily" be attained.

      Agree 100%. Maybe when I want a track car I'll get a v8, but I got my 2.0t for $32k, and its absolutely perfect for city driving. 275HP is plenty for public roads anyways, I still dust tf out of 90% of other cars on the road. And hearing the turbo kick in sounds sick af. Just gotta replace the dumbass oversized muffler, add spoiler, sideskirts, etc., sound system, then I'll own it for life.

    • @General_Artorius
      @General_Artorius 2 месяца назад

      A simple tune and weight reduction helps these turbo 4's a lot. The turbo 4's are already 400 lbs lighter than the 6.2L there's a start. Replace the stock down pipe with a catted version, lose the stock muffler, add a high flow version of your choice, go from 20" if you have the RS to 19" or 18" flow form wheels, swap your factory springs for lighter lowering springs and don't drive fat people around. Do those things and you'll be quicker when lighter. You can do a lot more but then you're deciding to eat, pay rent or mortgage or play with your Camaro.You're welcome. 😁
