Don’t let the rules mistakes put you off, it’s a great game and takes a few games to settle in to it. It’s good to see this being played on the Dice Tower. Thanks Sam.
Sam here...thank you. I thought we were pretty clear in the off-set of the video about the possibility of making mistakes. We'll revisit it, more than likely.
Even with the rules mistakes I really enjoyed watching this game! Sam and Vernon are very watchable together, and it definitely gave a great feel for the game - makes me want to try and get my hands on my own copy. Kickstarter exclusive stuff is a bit of a downer, but there looks to be so much in the core set to enjoy... and I'm sure it won't be impossible to pick up kickstarter stuff on ebay if it becomes a regular fixture.
Love the Dice Tower but I could not keep watching after the double-walk. I skipped to the end and glad you guys owned up for the mistakes ... let's see a rematch!
I miss seeing games like this on The Dice Tower. I find Amerithrash play throughs very entertaining. Too bad Sam and Vernon had to relocate. No Amerithrash coverage anymore really.
Its a great game and I would love to see more lets plays...but this particular game had so many rules mistakes it made it almost unwatchable. How can they not even know the win conditions of the game they have played several times?
Sam here...as stated in the video, this was my third time playing the game. The first time was over two years ago at a press conference with Monolith during which I played a 2- or 3- turn demo. The second time was in a rush as Cool Stuff was closing two nights ago where we determined we would play to 3 Omphalos to simply make a faster game. Also, we said in the beginning of the video that we were still learning the system...chill.
yeah the rules mistakes made me stop watching. And also the fact that Vernon could react to Sams pic for his army; this made the game very one sided. Please do a draft the next time...
We did say that we would make rules mistakes and I'm sorry that it made it unwatchable. Even though Sam made it sound like I reacted to his picks for his army, this was basically the army I used in the game I played with three-players before this game. Hence all the characters I used being painted already. I would like to do a draft next time, however it doesn't do well for camera play.
Vernon incorrectly states that Sam didn’t need to show the card he searched for and picked, actually for this manoeuvre you do need to show it to your opponent/s.
The card draw really ruins the game play. Am I missing something why others feel this is a good game? I feel having to draw specific cards to use your units at all seems extremely flawed, am I alone in this?

Can you guys please discuss what you thought about the game at the end? I would like to hear what your initial ratings/thoughts would be. Thank you.
I'll definitely keep this in mind for the next time we do a live-play.
Circe's Metamorphoses power destroys an entire troop, not just an individual model.
Rules mistake at 6:30. You draw 3 cards from deck and add it to the 3 starting AoW cards making your starting hand 6 cards total.
A 'Unit' of Troops' is the whole unit not one 'model'! A unit is a group of soldiers, not a single model.
Aside from the rules mistakes, the quality of the video itself was great and fun to watch, hope to see more like this.

Nobody watch Hercules and/or Xena? Autolycus is Bruce Campbell!
OH MAN! This is awesome.

blanks on the second assault can not be used to modify another die nor for mighty throw
Good thing they have that box in the corner or viewers would have no idea there were 2 Guys sitting at a table
awesome that you guys got a live play of this.. I thought it might be up Sam's alley
Sam, please do a review of this game. :)
love this game overall. takes some time to get the rules right.
Huge error at 14:00. A unit must take 2 different simple actions. You cannot walk 2 for your first, then walk 2 again for your second.
Philip Mazzone they caught it later
but i think the counted wrong the number od moves for the thief. the way they did it Vernon got 2 ompfalos in 3 activation cards instead of 4.
Does anyone know the dimensions of that table?

Do you have all the kickstarter stuff? As I recal this game got massive.
I do, but not all of it is painted yet. Hopefully we'll get a second live-play with Tom in it and be able to use more stuff.
A blank on the 2nd roll is not counted as a 5 + 0 it cancels that die completely becoming 0 total.
Sam here...this is an important part of combat. I'm guessing that means you always have to roll that second ound of dice for this reason, then.
Wonder Woman #spoileralert :D
This game looks fun! Might have to pick it up

You start with a hand of 6 cards total. 3 art of war + 3 random from the deck.
We each skipped our passed during our actual first turn and started at the second. :D
Surroundings includes the area the unit is in also.
Sam here...that's intuitive. I was asking Vernon if it was restricted to his area, or included those adjacent.
Thanks!
You must absorb 4 omphalos to win not 3.
Way to many basic mistakes, good vid though.
David Smith I definitely appreciate the irony of your sentence about basic mistakes.
