It would be very nice if you could receive drops in a certain order (exactly like the Ambassador bow pieces) and after your log is complete then you start getting duplicates randomly, this ensure you never get stuck camping a boss longer than require , yea it kind of takes away from the logs but lets be honest most players are not completionist we just want to gear up and go.
Tbh I think all incandations should be locked behind drops/achievements. I think due to logs existing, locking them behind drops is pretty clunky (per your taraket suggestion), but I think there is an opportunity to creatively use the 100 KC achievement here (similar to vorkath and the upgraded pouch). Lock split soul behind 100 ED3 completions, Lock TOF behind 100 ED1, and Lock Invoke Death behind 100 ED2. Could even keep up the necromancer theme and lock Greater bone shield behind magister--although that is a bit more controversial. Could even treat them like devotion at GWD1 where getting a KC of any of the bosses has a small chance to 'drop' the ability (thus the 100kc is the guaranteed DR, but you could get it at, say 1/500 from killing any of the 3 bosses during a run--making it 1/166 per run to unlock the incantation)
Yes, totally in favor of this. I find it difficult to motivate myself for pvm generally, but the 100 kc Vorkath requirement for the nexus was very motivating for me.
Totally agree, invention needs new perks and materials. It's been abandoned for a long time. Also they need to work on some of the already existing trash perks. Give them a reason to be used instead of just existing with no use. Since gagex is so into bleeds they should give us better perks for it other than lunging. Also they should definitely work on already existing weapons. Like staff of sliske has the shitiest spec but it's counter have great ones. Noxious weps have a shity spec but they could have been poison weps.
Honestly, I think anything at t90 needs a spec. If they spend time tuning them, so they're all semi relevant, all that content retains value via eof at minimum. Since dev time is obviously limited, ad almost like them to take the genesis shard template, but add older weapons to how they're used. So maybe Amascut drops some shard too, but it's used with Praesuls to upgrade the roar and ode further. Etc. There's a lot they can do to retain value with end game bosses without going back and changing them too much. They also may have a long term plan where they try to get players into the game, get rhe player count up, higher more devs, then go and solve these problems with more manpower. It's a bit of wishful thinking, but without having the inside scoop, it's hard to say.
@ducksquidbat8315 they could, but I wouldn't even mind some bland specs of varied costs to suit different situations. Just take the dlong spec and make it 35% Adrenaline and make it do 20% more damage. If they want to get a little inventive, cool, but I don't even think it's necessary.
In games people always react badly to nerfs, but they react even more negatively towards locking or taking away things they already had; for this reason your codex idea for the necro abilities is unlikely to happen. Perhaps they could nerf them and make new greater abilities which have the original strength and put these on codexes. I think this would be an easier sell. WRT armour and weapon effects I agree completely. One way to lessen the necro gear problem is simply to make gearing for the other styles, particularly entry level stuff, more in line with necro. This would be an easy win for jagex as it would improve the health of the game and be popular with players. I honestly have no idea why this isn't a higher priority.
I think it would be a cool idea if RuneScape had leaderboards that would reset every month or every week similar to elder scrolls online, and jagex could give rewards or cosmetics (tradeable or untradeable) to the players that finish in top 3 or top 5 of a specific boss encounter or elite dungeon. The leaderboards could be divided up into each world and be based off of kill speed feats, I think this would incentivize old content to be played through again even for those who already have log completion. You could have separate leaderboards for solo, duo, and trio groups and maybe have broadcasts whenever someone earns a cosmetic
They used to do this with seasonal high scores but a bunch of Mildreds complained because they couldn't get the titles... so they completely stopped doing it
@@FroggieGames in that case they would have to make the rewards tradeable or put players on cooldown if they already got leaderboard rewards for some duration
@@invictuous9222 They prob could have reworked it so if you had a title already, your reward would get pushed to the next player (so if player ranked #100 has the title, their title gets pushed down to the #101 player). Agree with everything said in this video! I do however think it might be too late to put split soul & threads onto drop tables without there being a big community uproar, as much sense as it makes. Love the idea of combined codices. Would be good if they were more common the further you go into the dungeon. So BSD would have the best drop rate to give an incentive to complete dungeons still and not just farm the first boss
Necro is the best skill in the game, it brings new players to pvm and it is really well done, the other skills should be better to gear like necro not the other way around
I feel like the Shard of Genesis should have upgraded the 92s to T97 or T102 95s are still strong and somewhat new. I don't think they needed a buff currently Vorkath should have dropped the t95 Lantern and Guard (or the set from the event). Rasial is kind of stacked lol I feel like Trimmed Masterwork should have been a tank set... Too late for that but it would be cool if we could could have fused Masterwork and Primal into a DPS armour with a life bonus
Agree: Threads of Fate, and Split Soul need to be unlocked with a codex. Disagree: Not having the codex multi use like you suggested similar to The Lost Codex. As a suggestion to weapon and amour perks, what about adding a leveling system to perks. Eg. having a perk the increases crit chance by 4% (biting) but level 1-9, or even Common-Legendary with a 1-9 level for each perk. But instead of going beyond 4%, just add damage for each level. So something like Legendary Biting 9 does +4% crit +5% damage etc. Then having high tier equipment like Rago drops disassemble into the items needed to level up the perks.
Im hoping masterwork armor sets and weapons for mage and range help them out. Augmentable power armor that can be upgraded to have a set effect after combining it with boss drops like with trimmed Masterwork.
When new stuff like gear sets come out.. add them to random boss tables like first necromancer top and gloves from vorago etc. Keeps all bosses alive and encourages engagement in all content.. lore wise makes no sense but I feel like gameplay wise feelsgoodman
Issue is that necro is too easy to gear...for how strong it is. Fastest solution would be to just nerf necro damage across the board by a significant amount. Would be pretty unpopular, but would allow necro to remain the easy-to-get/use BIS style without out DPMing the core styles.
Leave necro the way it is. I have bis range and mage (like even the perks and bis eofs) but necro just makes like game so much more enjoyable. Ive seen so many noobs progress and fill up the empty pvm that was missing!! Makes people believe they can do it!! Attracted many clan mates

Buffing gears to be useful in switching is not a good design idea, even EoF, it is terrible for the game if pvming is really switch heavy, specially if it is needed, lots of players like necro because there is no switching, maybe switching neck for the tier 90 spec but thats not even needed, necro is fun because the progression is well made, easy to understand, lots of quests in the way while the other skills most people leveled up in a couple hours on ED3 trash runs and dont even know what the skills do, necro is a sucess because it learned from the mistakes of the other three, I would rather see a rework on the existent styles than any changes to necro, the leveling aspec of the 3 combat styles is terrible, i really hope that magic gets better to use soon

ranged.. get the 92 crossbow in parts from a boss with low drop rate. then have high fletching to assemble it. I think the problem with gearing up with other styles, are the 3 piece weapons. You take so much time learning and refining the boss kill to beg for 1/3 piece of an upgrade, so lame.
I really think what they need to do is make boss weaknesses (not to the extent of osrs). Still keep it where you *can* do every boss with necro, but maybe not as effective as another style. That way there is some incentive to have decent gear in the other styles as well.
It may not be good for the other styles, but its simplier. its easier for people that arent try harding at pvm. It costs billions of gold to get the other types of combat. Its a huge lock out for everyone. Im only back because of necro, now I can pvm.
you dont need the billions of gold items to pvm with those styles.. lol youre back because necro does everything for you, you refused to learn before. lame.
Super easy. Necro just needs to focus on casual players who want to see content and complete partial logs without having to sweat. Longer kill times. Like 2-3 minutes longer. And the inability to meet certain thresholds like prestigious high enrage titles. Easy and straightforward to gear. Limited rng based gates. For those with limited time to play. But still enjoy the game. And yes, even gating certain abilities behind codexes, or fixed rate crafts (vital spark-inspired). In a game like Runescape, very few unlocks should be given for free just by hitting certain levels. Quests, drops, crafts, and achievements should be utilized. Also gives players a lot more content than just being able to rush 1-120 and be ready in bis gear and abilities in no time.
ye basicly keep it learner friendly and easy early game but limit it on top end performance. would argue even the level 90 stuff is to easy to get not only the abilitys.
Necro shouldn't take steps back on it's accesibility, the other styles should adopt more of Necros modern mechanics and play styles instead of hindering necro.
i think best in slot gear should be easier to get for all styles. I am very happy with the Nakatra drop rates for the tier 95 gear. Makes it so one item doesn't stay at 3billion GP forever (BOLG cough cough)
the weapons should not have been on normal mode table tho. and im saying that as someone who havent done a hm nakatra kill yet. nm is super easy (you just need a little practice using dive) and even tho this is not really on topic this also made both aod and rago weapons crash even more....realisticly making vorago never worth doing unless ur an ironman or a complitionist who want to finish logs and achivements. aod is still fine because of codexes...but rago energys have also been low for a while now due to few diffrent factors. so no i don't think thats generaly a good thing.
If every bis weapon becomes this easy/accessible and cheap to get then the feeling of getting bis is ruined and the grind of RuneScape that we all love is lost.
@@PricklyAporocactus1 who "loves the grind of runescape"... not me. been playing since 2004 and all 120s, it would make the game a lot more accessible if best in slot gear isn't locked behind 15 billion gold for range or grinding your life away. I'd rather see more new players come into the game and actually enjoy progressing without feeling that it's impossible (which it does feel like that for every new player.) the game is overwhelming to start, the 3 original combat styles are not noob friendly, it makes people quit before they even really get into the game. If you want to grind for something beyond BIS weapons they go grind away for a 12 billion gp blood dye or something so you can feel flashy.
@@Nevervorago new bosses get released, new tiers of weapons come out, old bosses become obsolete, it's been the way of runescape since the game started.
You’re sounding like an elitist. Coming from someone with like a 100b bank with bis gear in all styles. LEAVE NECRO THE WAY IT IS AND LET NOOBS FEEL END GAME IS ACCESSIBLE!! i love the fact noobs are willing to run bosses with me using necro and making the game feel its ONLINE MULTIPLAYER AGAIN!!!
You are right. Take away the only thibg that made skillers try pvming for the first time in their life. Btw, myself and 3 other comp skillers started pvming only when necro got here. We have max gear for the other styles just for show. We can never do the switches they require. With max necro gear including perks and t99 prayer we die at p7 100% zammy about 50% of the time. We aren't all created equal and we won't cut into your profits. PVM is hard enough for the vast majority of RS players as is.
All other style where easy to when they did not have much abilities? If u played eoc when i came out, this i just the same process, it is new and will take time. But then i was made to be an easier alternative then melee ranged and magic, which are way to expensive anyway , even after all those years. Thats why necro is used more then the other styles, no switchscape needed or any of that crap you need to have with other styles so i am glad this is like this. Having to go left right on ur keyboard is just way to much, look at other mmo's, none have so much abilities...
Most rewards from other MMO’s are garbage, I’ve played several other MMO’s but at least RuneScape allows niche upgrades to exist for those players willing to put in extra effort for 3 second faster kills than without said item. Obliteration staff for example is finally worth using at kezalam so now group pvmers are incenstivized to bring a mage instead of just all trios camping range or necro
@@invictuous9222 i agree on that, rs makes variety more possible. But the fact is that u have to mix is making it really hard for people, like switching like i mentioned certainly now when u have dual wield and 2handers. The other mmo's make it that u choose one of the combat styles like maguc ranged melee, and u have ur abilities then and by leveling them up u can choose an upgrade. Is more practical then going 50hours dry on something for many. I like the grind personaly, thats what keeps me in the game. But i saw almost all my frienda leave due to over excessive combat methods. The problem is, switchscape, and the auto retaliate being useless, it should be auto attack for the lesser experienced players by now the get true content also, only 1% or even less now in rs3 can do zamorak or telos, that sad, other ammo's your atleast looking at 10 15%, the 1% are the top groups running trials with 1 apprentice or 2 max, rs3 is in a really bad state now and you can tell by the twitch or any other regarde, the game needs or make sure people get true things and not get stuck, the auto attack function would be such a thing. Taking away the big complexity in this game for sure. I mean rs3 is now a lower bracet mmo compared to others now, to attract or get players to do more high level content, they should also look into the content thats old and remake it, i mean vorago for example, super good boss when u get it, but nobody does it, and i know why, why would i go do 7 platforms while i can do a boss thats 10 times less effort and more rewarding
You should be careful not to sound like an elitist when you are saying things should be nerfed no, threads of fate does not make AoD easy, it makes it easier (in a cool way imo) for talented players and slightly more accessible for noobs (how many new players are starting to kill AoD nowadays? feels like its 0)

100%
You are right. Take away the only thibg that made skillers try pvming for the first time in their life.
Btw, myself and 3 other comp skillers started pvming only when necro got here. We have max gear for the other styles just for show. We can never do the switches they require. With max necro gear including perks and t99 prayer we die at p7 100% zammy about 50% of the time. We aren't all created equal and we won't cut into your profits. PVM is hard enough for the vast majority of RS players as is.
you dont need any switches for 100% zammy.. lol
nor anywhere near bis gear for any style
L takes
Nah
1st comment woooooo its ya boi vinnie
You should be careful not to sound like an elitist when you are saying things should be nerfed
no, threads of fate does not make AoD easy, it makes it easier (in a cool way imo) for talented players and slightly more accessible for noobs (how many new players are starting to kill AoD nowadays? feels like its 0)
My clan always brings new players to AOD, we teach 2-3 at a time
