  • You can learn How to Surface Crochet in this tutorial video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. Surface crochet is a technique where by you use a crochet hook and yarn and create a chain stitch on top of your work. You can make any type of design - words, numbers, shapes using this technique. It creates a nice 3D effect too!

    Ty Donna ... I really love using this stitch... makes one piece look like a whole other one when completed ... a real saver when you want multi colors but just don’t have enough yarn🧶🤔

    Wow! You have given me tremendous gift with this tutorial. This technique gives me a way to salvage a project that’s been in progress for 4 months. Because of you I’ll have a beautiful blanket instead of an ugly donation to a thrift shop.

    Had to come here to learn how to add designs! I’m working on a blanket for my mom and I’m soooo excited to finish it and add some designs and lettering!!!! First time ever crocheting a blanket and it’s looking sooo nice so far I love it! I know she’ll love it as well! 🥰

    Thank you so much for this. Recently a friends asked if I could put the baby's name on the blanket I made. Now I guess I have to figure out if I should just make his name in block letters or if I should do it in cursive. I'm thinking cursive just so that I don't have to break off and weave in yarn. Anyway, thank you again. I'm sort of dreading though this name is kind of difficult. Preston. The P must stand alone LOL cuz I can't connect that 😂

      Yes you can! You can use any stitch actually. I use single crochet in my sample mostly because it's easier to see on camera.
