    I own some of these tubes and I would not recommend them to anyone! Yes, they look just fine when fresh out of the tube, but after only 1 week of having filled pans with them, the paints had separated upon drying out, and the only thing I could scrape with the brush was binder. Bad recipe they got there for tubes (apparently they had said that their recipe for their pans is different).

    • @JayNathanWatercolor
      @JayNathanWatercolor  Год назад +2

      Oh really? I will have to see how they are when I put them in a palette. Yes the pans are different formula to the tubes I think. I’ll be swatching some of them out soon too. ☺️

      I could not agree more. Apart from that, the consistency is not the same for all the paints, some of the blues are so thick I could hardly get them out of the tube, other run like water. AND what really annoys me is that if you use them in mass tone they get a nasty sheen on them once they are dry. I am sorry I purchased them, it is a waste of money.

    What I like about Renesans is their w wooden palettes with the porcelain mixing area.

    Woah that cobalt turquoise was trippy to me! on video looks like a mix of..what even..? phthalo blue+ultramarine+prussian??? So happy to see a new video from you!

      Thank you 🙏 It definitely is a strange cobalt turquoise. I quite like it though ☺️

    Enjoy Renesans Intense tube watercolor, however, right now I prefer their half pans, surprise hues and all (Caput Mortuum, Raw Sienna). Bought their 8 tube set and had some weird gummy binder separation with their tube Gold Ochre (PY159) but otherwise their tube paints were vibrant that I received were nice to work with. Will order a few more to continue to compare them.

    I love them, both the half pan and tube versions. A bit sticky at times but nothing a bit of warm water doesn't help with!

    I have a couple Renesans paints and really wanted to love them. They are super inconsistent. I do really like their cobalt green deep, it is super pretty.

    They all look like they go down with ease. Some good-looking pigment mixes that are unusual, but I wonder how well they play with others. That cobalt turquoise is really different. So is the 2nd PBr 25. I have been seeing more earth oranges available at pigment shops recently. Lovely swatching video as usual, and it's great to see???....hear you. TFS 😊

    Wow! That Polish Brown is a stunner! I also really like the cool version of this PR254 and I also like the weird PG50, tho I wonder if they labeled it wrong or forgot an extra pigment, it kind of looks like the Cobalt Turquoise Dark from Kremer which is PB36. Anyway cant wait for the half pans video. Thanks so much for sharing and much love🩵

    They have a cheap look to me; the colours are off and they seem to have an oiliness about them you find in low quality brands.

      @@JayNathanWatercolor Thanks, is it easy and reliable to order from Vietnam? As an ASEAN country one doesn’t need to pay any customs duty, and that’s a good thing. I’ve ordered brushes from Jackson’s and had to pay 65% to customs of the value of the item and transport plus additional VAT - I can assure you that I wasn’t happy at all….

    • @JayNathanWatercolor
      @JayNathanWatercolor  Год назад

      I've never ordered from Vietnam so I don't know.
      Duties and taxes can be a pain when ordering from Jackson's but I make sure to stay under 1500 baht so I don't have to pay any.

    • @staffanscherloff4596
      @staffanscherloff4596 Год назад

      @@JayNathanWatercolor Very true, but most good brushes will cost more than 1500 THB if you want them delivered registered post…. Colours will ’only’ have 30% extra + VAT if you go over 1500 THB. Finally, its a pity that good art material are so expensive here.
