This band plays a mix of prog-metal, dance-metal and various other things. They came together in early 2022, and made an immediate impression for their high-level musicianship. Original Lineup:
Drummer: Mizuki (x Shinku-Horou),
Vocalist: Maiko Nomura (a voice actress singing under her own name for the first time)
Bassist: Yuuki Hirose (she has played in a number of projects)
Guitars: Narumi (She is one of Japan’s elite-level guitarists, with previous stints in Destrose, Aldious and Disqualia, and her own spectacular solo metal-fusion album, “The Seed”.)
Lonesome_Blue's debut EP “First Utterance” contains five tracks co-composed by Light Bringer keyboardist Mao, with lyrics written by Lovebites frontwoman Asami (another instance of the close and symbiotic relationship among many of Japan’s female metal stars). The song “Parallel World” features a spectacular appearance by Morfonica violinist Ayasa.

(This is an amazing fusion of Disco and Metal, truly unique.)
Their new album “Second to None” takes things to an even higher level and adds some strong progressive elements. Most of the songs are cowritten by Mao and a rotating cast of lyricists contributing to the various songs, including vocalist Maiko Nomura.

Narumi departed the band in mid 2023, and they have been touring with Yashiro (famous for her role in Mary’s Blood) in the lead guitar role.
One of the happiest bassists there is!!!!! Guitarist is NARUMI she recently left the band!!!!!
excellent reaction, thank you, Ayasa is only guest unfortunately , the drummer Mizuki is also in East Of Eden , other curiosity , the music is by Mao called the sixth LOVEBITES because he collaborates a lot with them and the lyrics are by Asami the singer of LOVEBITES
Actually Mao composes all Lonesome Blue's music, may even be involved in the production end of it as well Mao also works with East of Eden.
This is the same drummer and violinist from East of Eden 🤘
Ahhh crap! Lol. I was so hyper focused on the violinist I didn't even notice. 😅
When the song started my initial thought was that a lot of the sound is coming from a backing track which isn't great and it was only when the Violinist appeared that it became clear that it was a member of the band who was producing that sound which is much better than it coming from a backing track !

I have heard Asami helps them with Lyrics Narumi guitarist was with Destrose I believe
I think Asami had input on one or two songs from the EP - this may be one of them.
It was all going so well until Narumi left. Not withstanding that Yuuki and Mizuki are excellent, and Maiko does have a lovely voice, Narumi bought the credibility, which wasn’t exactly a secret. She left, and her comments about that were that she didn’t want to become an alcoholic, (music business is like that… 🤷🏻♂️) and now they have the talented Yashiro as a stand in. Yashiro can get the job done, but she’s basically a live session guitarist, which leaves a hole they don’t appear to be filling.
If we can learn anything from BABYMETAL’s and LOVEBITES’ very different approaches to filling, or not filling the void, they should get on making a lot of noise about it, getting themselves a new full-time member ASAP.
