An option about spiritbound is that you can attach any materia to get the spiritbound bonus; so you can pentameld useless materia like tenacity and piety in your gathering equipment until you have enough materia to pentameld it right and still farm spiritbound.

Excellent guide. Quick summary from 90 to 100:
The Dawntrail gathering story line and the levemetes (about 18), and a grand company delivery will catapult you for about 7 levels. If you haven’t, finish the Endwalker gathering story line as well, as it will give you all the purple tomes you need to buy the folklore books. Finally, set your timer for the special node spawning every day at 10 AM ET in Yak Tel (for the dark amber thing. Remember it won’t show if you don’t have the folklore book).
Mix and match the methods to get the last 3 levels.

Ok now what do you do if you didn't get the last tier of tear pentamelded? This shit seems super slow compared to leaves unless you are in the best gear

keep that old penta stuff to farm materia also...super fast materia generation that way

im trying to do the collectibles, but it feels like i don't get that much experience points for turning things in. Am I doing something wrong? Also noticing you're able to level up the quality really quickly but mine only does like 150 ish with no buffs =/

Your gear is pretty important, try and lvl90 gathering gear if you're trying to go up fast from 90-100. Also some collectables are harder than others, so try and get the lower level ones (easier) ones first.

The first collectible is absolute ass. You are better off doing what I did, find an item that sells that you can gather and just make some money that way until you can start doing timed nodes at 93 and the custom delivery at 92 IIRC.

Maybe you do a video on what's the best penta meld for Downtrail Gatherers ... you know with brake points explained and such, since I see the legendary nodes are out but no one is posting any melding video on youtube, not not yet ... nudge nudge

All you need is 4480 perception to hit all the nodes then the rest is a bonus. I just melded some go to hit 1000 with food and that's about it because I don't really want to pentameld my gear right now. You can do this on a budget with materia X
